“They were absolutely amazing at taking care of my cat and kept me updated throughout my time away, which gave me so much peace of mind. I really appreciated how responsive, reliable, and punctual they were. Overall, they made the entire experience incredibly easy and stress-free. I would definitely recommend them!”

“My puppy had a great experience staying with Lesyle R. She was well taken care of and she seemed to be really comfortable staying with Leslye and her family. I received good vibes from my pup to make me consider booking with Leslye and her family as a liable pet sitter in the future.”

“Nana was amazing! I got updates and pictures every morning. She followed all instructions to a tee. And she cared for my pup like he was her own. There was a minor medical problem that cropped up that she handled amazingly. I will definitely use her again!”

“Tre’Ana was an excellent host and worked with me on times and dates. Would recommend her to anyone!! My Hazel was definitely taken care of and so happy when I picked her up.”

“Jordan took fantastic care of my dog Bently! He was very clearly cared for and felt comfortable in her home. The photos of him having fun or having a nap were so great to see and it was very clear that he was happy and safe. I would absolutely trust Jordan with him again!”

“Robert is an awesome dog boarder/dog watcher. He provided us with good updates and all the other things a good dog host does, but what sets him apart is is way with dogs. Our dog is usually defensive towards unknown guys, but with Robert, she was instantly at ease. I would 100% recommend Robert to anyone with a dog that is anxious or uncertain of others. He is a gem as a sitter/boarder in Rover! Thank you Robert!”

“Thank you Tehya for accommodating us. She was very sweet and kind. Nice clean home. Huge fenced backyard and plenty of inside space. She sent pictures and kept in communication everyday. I am very grateful and pleased that she took in our little Missy. Will definitely book again and again.”

“Cynthia and Robert were amazing! We left our dog with them for an extended vacation. My dog had a lot of anxiety and was very nervous. They spent a ton of time helping my dog settle and feel at home. Highly recommend!”

“Karen was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions and check-ins. This was my first time leaving my puppy for more than one night and Karen made me feel very comfortable. I will be requesting more visits for Cooper with Karen.”

“Mary was so accommodating with our nervous pup. We were traveling from out of town - she was very flexible and sent us updates and photos. I wish we lived nearby so our dog could stay with her again!”

“My cat Fergus had a great time with Zhewei! Zhewei was very informative and send me photos/videos every day. I appreciated them very much and could not have asked for a better petsitter! Will be booking again with Zhewei if he is available.”

“Melanie was fantastic with my dog, Monty. I enjoyed receiving multiple updates and lots of photos to let me know he was doing okay. I highly recommend using Melanie.”

“Evan and Kaleigh are amazing! I was delayed on the drop off day. They were so patient and encouraged me to take my time getting there. We received pictures and updates throughout the duration of our vacation and were playing with the dogs when I picked them up. My pups were so well taken care of that they barely greeted me, which I took as a great sign! Thank you Evan and Kaleigh for giving us the peace of mind during our vacation!”

“Merium took excellent care of our pup. I would book again and I would recommend her to anyone who needs their pup looked after for a few days. She was very accommodating to Bella’s routines and sent updates/pictues/videos.”

“Our pup absolutely loved every minute staying with Shaina! Each photo update was adorable and she was incredibly kind and flexible when our travel plans shifted which was an added bonus. We can’t wait to book with her again!!”

“Jackie and Enoch were great with Mia! Mia had a blast with their pup, with plenty of space to run around and a cozy home to rest after all the fun. They provided plenty of pictures/updates and we're always quick to respond. We would happily have them watch Mia again!!”

“Natalie was amazing!! Handled my old girl and my puppy who is still learning (but the size of a miniature pony) so well! They were so comfortable and happy at her house and she was super communicative!”

Chelsea took great care of my cats for 4 days while I was traveling. She sent pictures and check-ins at least once a day and my cats looked so relaxed and comfortable around her. I was having trouble finding a sitter who would administer one of my cat's insulin injections, but Chelsea said "no problem" and made sure he had his insulin injections twice a day. She will definitely be my go to when I need my boys watched again, she's very trustworthy and accommodating.

Briana seriously saved us! Our original sitter canceled the same day right before our spring break trip, and Briana stepped in without hesitation. She kept us updated with pics and videos the whole time and was so friendly and easy to work with. Our dog Nyla enjoyed her stay so much! Especially the walks and dog park! We’ll definitely be using her again! Thank you sooo much Briana!! We appreciate you a lot!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
