“Quinton was a very nice host to my fur baby! She was well taken care of and looked so happy in the photos he sent. Communicaton from him was definitely top tier. I’d definitely book again :)”

“Nicole and Tim were absolutely great! Good communicators and sent photos and updates throughout our dogs stay. She can be a little particular but settled in immediately and it felt like she got her own vacation while we were on ours. Will definitely book them again!”

“Excellent host! Arrived very early in the morning for drop-off and arrived later at night for pick-up. Accommodating. Sent updates. And took care of my pup. Thank you!”

“Maya was great. She is definitely experienced with dogs and handled our crazy pup very well. She sent us a bunch of photos of our pup while we were on vacation. This was our first time using a dog a sitter and she did everything she could to help us feel at ease through the process.”

“Kelsey was fantastic and very clearly cares for our pups which was just what we needed for peace of mind while we were away for an extended vacation. Can't thank you enough Kelsey for putting up with all the additional dog hair and taking our boys in as your own. We will most certainly use Kelsey again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.. infact we already have!”

“Walter and Maddie were great! They were very warm and welcoming to our old lady, and their two dogs are very sweet. They provided daily updates and good communication. Our dog had some overnight accidents and they were very understanding and worked with us via messaging to address her needs. We were very comfortable and confident that our pup was in good hands.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of Pepsi. They were great at coordinating and very accommodating. They kept us updated on how the stay was going on and Pepsi was all smiles when he came home. Pepsi said he is definitely saying over again 😆.”

“Guinness had such a good time at Sidney's house with her dog. He was exhausted and a little sad to leave them. She sent videos and pictures so I could see what Guinness was up to. Ill definitely be using her again!”

“We loved working with Leslie! She did a great job of keeping us up-to-date with how stitches was doing and sending lots of photos. We’re so glad to have someone take such great care of our dog when we’re away.”

“Our puppy, Milo, had the best time! Beth and her husband were so kind and made Milo feel right at home. They updated us and sent photos while we were away. Milo had the best time going on walks, playing with their dogs, watching the Olympics with them and cuddling. 😁 Milo can’t wait to see his friends again soon!”

“Mandy is such a dog person! She loved on my Tux like he was one of her own! She has a large fenced in yard. She also sent photos and videos frequently! Thank you, Mandy!!”

“Katie clearly loves dogs and ours loved her back. Her regular updates with pictures made it a little easier to leave our guy with someone else for the first time.”

“Adolfo is the best sitter we've ever had! We come back to him every time we go out of town to see if he's available. Our dog loves his home and all the attention and friends he makes while he's at Adolfo's house. :) Adolfo sends lots of pictures of our dog to us while we're away and we always feel so confident and comfortable leaving our sweet pup with him. Adolfo is the best! Would recommend him to anyone!”
“Matt was wonderful, very responsive and very helpful while we were away! He took care of our little guy Auggie like he was his own! I couldn’t recommend Matt enough!!”

“My dog Taddy needed a sitter short notice for 2 weeks, when our previously scheduled sitter had to cancel due to a family emergency. Julia was fortunately available and very attentive to Taddy's issues (with him being an anxious rescue dog, with arthritis, reactivity towards other dogs, etc.). She also didn't take on another client during the 2 weeks because of Taddy's issues with other dogs. We got a picture and an update every 2-3 days while we were away. Taddy looked very comfortable and at home in the pictures. Our flight back was delayed, and we picked up Taddy close to midnight, much later than planned. Julia was v cooperative and flexible with our delay which we really appreciated.”

“Five plus stars! Dustin and Margaret and their children were great with our two dogs. They were able to devote their time to playing and snuggling with our dogs who seemed quite well and happy after a week there. We are so thankful that we found a loving family to take great care of our pups!”

“Jessica was the sweetest rover we have ever left our fur baby with! We got so many high quality professional pics every few hours and lots of communication and that to during a holiday weekend. Couldn’t not recommend her enough for the fur babies. Such a sweet soul that is so kind to animals and takes such good care of them overall. Thanks so much!”

We booked a boarding stay at Jayde's for our older pup and could not be happier! She's a good communicator, including nightly updates with photos and details on eating, medications, activity, and generally how our pup was feeling on settling in. She took great care and set our family's minds at ease.
Kellin was amazing with Charlie and clearly loves taking care of dogs! She and Charlie had some pretty terrible heat to deal with while we were gone but she made sure he got enough exercise safely, given the dangerous conditions. We would definitely trust her with our doggo in the future!

This was the first occasion for me to have someone sitting with my pets. Emma was AMAZING! She came for a meet and greet prior to the boarding dates, was in touch without throughout my time away, sent multiple photos over the two days and I returned to two happy and healthy pups. Although I do not live in this area of the country, I would not hesitate to recommend Emma to anyone. Thank you, Emma!!
I have two dogs and two cats, and finding someone we truly trust with all four of them is no small feat — but she exceeded every expectation. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, keeping us updated on how each pet was doing, how they were interacting with one another, and anything they needed along the way. One of our dogs is older, and she was especially attentive to that, proactively letting us know about any health-related observations so we were never left wondering. That kind of thoughtfulness and care means everything when you’re away. She treated our pets exactly the way we would — with patience, attention, and genuine love. We came home to four happy, well-cared-for animals, and we couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend and will absolutely be booking again!

Barbara had our Oli (mini schnauzer) overnight for the first time and we are so pleased. Barbara sent us plenty of updates with pictures and videos, which we loved! And Oli looked very happy from her sleepover experience! Win win! Also, Ruby (Barbara’s rescue) is so sweet and was so good to Oli. I love that they got to interact and even slept in bed with Barbara. We would definitely love to have Barbara taking care of Oli again 🥰

Jessica has been the absolute best thing to happen to our family since relocating to St. Louis. We toured every boarding facility in the area, and I left each one feeling heartbroken. The tiny cages, constant noise, and extremely high prices were overwhelming, and there was no way I could leave our dogs there. Jessica cared for our two Australian Shepherds for nearly two weeks, and it was such a relief knowing they were safe, loved, and treated like family in her home. They also adored playing with her sweet puppy, Cooper, and all got along wonderfully. We are so grateful to have found her and could not recommend her more highly!

I highly recommend Stephen as a pet sitter. He has been watching my cat Willy for the past two years, and throughout that time he has always been incredibly accommodating, flexible, and reliable. Stephen has been very easy to work with and always willing to help, even when schedules change or plans come up unexpectedly. Knowing that Willy is in good hands whenever I’m away has given me a lot of peace of mind. It’s clear that Stephen genuinely cares about the pets he looks after. After two years of great service, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter.

Everything went smooth!!!! It was truly a pleasure dealing with Jordan and he gave my wife and I the ability to enjoy our weekend away. Not having that stress truly made the whole experience so much more enjoyable for us. We already requested for our next family event coming up in September !!!! Thanks again Jordan!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
