“Excellent pet sitter! She boarded our puppy for two nights and took great care of her. Our puppy came home happy, healthy, and well-loved. Great communication and a caring environment. Highly recommend!”

“First time leaving our pup with someone else...we were so glad we chose Bryan. He was very accommodating and kept us updated with texts, photos, and videos! Highly recommended, will most definitely utilize his services again.”

“Ebony Does a fantastic job of watching your fur baby. She provides plenty of pictures, activities and feedback. I will definitely use her again. I highly recommend her services!”

“Once again, Lorri took excellent care of our girl. We were gone 2 weeks & received a text and photo every day reassuring us that all was good back home. We will definitely call on Lorri again! Thank you Lorri!”

“I don't have enough words to thank Ursula and her husband for the wonderful care they provided for our dog, Cocoa. They sent me lots of pictures every day, which gave me peace of mind and showed just how happy and comfortable Cocoa was in their home. She also seemed to really enjoy the company of their dog. I could tell Cocoa was well cared for because she was actually sad when we brought her back home from Ursula's house! I was looking for someone who would treat her like a member of the family, and I was a little nervous about leaving her there since it was the first time we had ever been apart. However, I can confidently say that Ursula and her husband cared for Cocoa as if she were their own. I am so grateful for their kindness and dedication, and I will definitely be using Ursula again in the future.”

“Dave and his wife Cindy have been wonderful to our dog Georgia. He responds really quickly and provided a lot of attention my high separation anxiety dog. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to have someone who can care for their pets with love and attention. I cannot thank him enough”

“This was the first time ever leaving my dog and my anxiety was extremely high! Sherry made the experience amazing with daily pics and updates! I will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Would 100% recommend her!! Our original dog sitter couldn't do watch them so we found her and she was so amazing. Very responsive and organized since day 1. She gave us daily updates, pictures, and videos. They were super happy when we brought them back and even gave tips on brushing our 7month sheepadoodle and types of joint supplements for our 12yr old. She is a certified trainer and knows how to take care of the dogs so we would trust her to watch them for a long vacation and not worry about their stress or safety.”

“Walter and Maddie were great! They were very warm and welcoming to our old lady, and their two dogs are very sweet. They provided daily updates and good communication. Our dog had some overnight accidents and they were very understanding and worked with us via messaging to address her needs. We were very comfortable and confident that our pup was in good hands.”

“Brian and Abigail are excellent pet sitters! Our dogs loved their large backyard and they received plenty of exercise. They were exhausted when we brought them home. We received text messages and pictures while we were away and we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with them and we will be using them again.”

“As usual Alycia provided excellent care for my dog while I was away. Great communication and lots of pictures/video. Already have another booking with Alycia in the coming weeks. Would highly recommend.”

“Dawn took great care of Penny! Penny was around more dogs than she was used to, and Dawn gave Penny her alone time when she needed it. We also got daily pictures which we loved to receive. We enjoyed our vacation more knowing she was in great hands.”

“Nothing but great things to say about Mandy! After a couple rough experiences with local boarding businesses, we've never trusted anyone other than family with our dog. Recently, the whole family traveled together and that led me to finding Mandy. From the moment we met her we knew she'd be a great fit. She sent pictures and updates every day that we were away. Snoop was obviously well cared for and had a great time while we were gone! Will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Blake was AMAZING! He took my same-day booking when I had to travel last minute and my usual sitter fell through 🩷 it was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Woods with someone he didn’t know so I was nervous, but I got videos and updates throughout each day! Both me and Woods had a great experience and I’ll 100% be reaching out Blake in the future”

“Keith did a wonderful job with our samoyed Teddy when we were out of state on vacation! He sent adorable daily pictures showing he was doing well and loved by his entire family. Would definitely book again!”

About: Hi! Ive been taking care of dogs my whole life, I am at home majority of the week so Im available to take out your fur baby multiple times a day, distribute medication and cuddle and give them the attention they crave. I am home five days a week and work two out of home with a flexible schedule. I do like to do walks in the morning and in the afternoon for my own exercise (active high energy dogs always love our long walks). I provide a safe and loving home for your dog to be able to roam around, play with my family. We do have a gated dog area in our backyard to be able to let pets off the leash and run around.
“My fur babies love coming to visit Jeanne. They start getting excited as soon as we drive into her development. Jeanne is great with their individual care and concerns. So glad we found YOU!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lemay
I’ll be honest, I was nervous using Rover for the first time as my usual dog sitter became unavailable before a big wedding trip — but Vicki was incredible to work with and made any worries quickly melt away. She was patient, reassuring and sent some of the BEST photos I’ve had of my girl running around with the other pups staying with her. On the way home, we were having some major plane problems that delayed our flights. Vicki was incredibly accommodating on watching Athena a little bit longer until we could get back from the airport. I would highly recommend Vicki and Dave as they did awesome with my incredibly sweet — but at-times rambunctious — Athena.

We have been using Erica for a few years now to watch our dog, Margie. We last left Margie with Erica for 2 weeks with an injured leg and Erica was able to manage our dog, her injury, and administer her meds, and by the time we got back, Margie wasn't limping any more! Thank you for taking such good care of Margie! Kristina

Ruthie and her significant other were both above and beyond great caretakers for my girl Meeka while I was away on 2 trips this month. She has multiple health issues right now, including some diarrhea that she was only just starting to improve from by the time my 2nd trip rolled around…I felt bad having to put that extra work on them but not only did they accommodate her, they helped by trying solutions that have really made a huge difference in her recovery and her even with arthritis pain management. All in all just felt very comfortable with knowing Meeka was so well cared for while I was away and that they were truly treating her like she was their own dog! Highly recommend and will be hoping to get to use them again the next time I travel!

Jori took great care of Churro during his 11-night stay. She kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the trip, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Churro came home safe and healthy, and it was clear he was well cared for. We’d be happy to book with Jori again and would definitely recommend her to others looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Robyn took great care of our dog Grey! They took him on bike rides, got pup cups (all with permission), sent pictures and videos while watching him. Very responsive with all communication. We have booked with her multiple times now and have had a great experience each time!
Derek was excellent! Fantastic communication, had a setup that was well suited for my dog (ramp in the backyard so my pup didn’t have to do stairs, and a big window for my pup to look out). Derek was also great about sending photos every few hours. Highly recommend!

Michael took great care of my dog while we were out of town for 2 weeks. This is the second time he has taken care of her for an extended time, and I would be happy to do so again in the future. I can relax knowing that she gets lots of TLC and snuggles while we are away. Thank you!

Having Monica keep our Copper was a great decision! Being a good dog mama, she had lots of understanding and compassion. She sent us photos and tales of his playing and snuggling. I can tell she’s a great dog mama and cares for all who stay with her. Would definitely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
