“Lillian was GREAT!!!! She was there on short notice and able to change her schedule to accommodate watching my pup! Anytime I needed to reach out she responded very quickly and kept me updated as well. Willow loves walks and attention and she got all of it def will use Lillian again for my baby.”

“Eleanor is great! She really pays attention to our dogs and cares about their wellbeing. We have a puppy which can be a lot at times and an older dog that just wants pets and snuggles. Would definitely recommend Eleanor for all your doggie needs!”

“Gabbie is great! My pup is pretty shy and going through some health concerns. Gabbie was attentive to what my dog needs, has been consistently on-time and has built up trust with her in the span of a week. Sadie seems really excited when Gabbie comes by and seems to enjoy their mid-day play sessions!”

“Nicki did everything I requested and my babies were taken very good care of. She updated me when she was on her way over and took pictures. She gave both of my cats attention and one of them can be rather difficult.”

“Things fell through with my previous sitter (that wasn’t from Rover). I reached out to Kaity last minute, as I was scrambling to find someone to watch my chihuahua. She came within 1.5 hours of contacting her to do a meet and greet with Bailey since is weary of strangers from a traumatic past. She even moved around some her schedule to accommodate us. He was reserved at first, but quickly warmed up to Kaity. On day 2, he was already waiting at the door for her and greeting her with toys and kisses. I get cute pictures and a little summary of how their time together went. I would definitely recommend Kaity to anyone and I have her on weekly repeat visits. We are happy!”

“Sarah took great care of our kitty, Chuck, while we were away for nearly a week. She was very communicative, and followed instructions and came at the appointed times as planned. We were very happy with her care and would love to have Sarah take care of Chuck again when needed!”

About: I have been working in the animal field for 16 years. I also have experience administering medications of all types. I do try to keep to the animal's schedule as best as possible. I'm currently between jobs so I am able to keep your animals active. Once I'm employed again, I'll be able to fit your animal's needs before and after working hours. I prefer keeping your animals in their own home as it is less stressful for them. I keep as close to their schedule as I can on a daily basis.

“She was so kind and thoughtful when caring for our pets! We got plenty of update photos and she reached out of there was even the slightest concern. It was so comforting to know our fur babies were so well loved and cared for while we were away!”

“Stephen has once again done a wonderful job caring for our cat while we were away. We will continue to book him for all of our pet sitting needs!”

“Katie looked after my 3 cats for drop in visits and was excellent! She was able to do medicine for the little one and everyone was happy when I got home.”

“Lauren was great! She saved me from worrying about my cats. She was always on time with visits and provided information for every visit. I felt our cats were well cared for...clean and happy! We also looked forward to the daily pictures! Thank you!!!”

About: I've been hanging out with animals all my life; taking care of others' animal babies for close to a decade. No mess is too gnarly; I've popped pills and dispensed hairball meds. Love a long neighborhood walk or a long snuggle. Let me help take care of your fur babies! I do not have pets of my own; I much prefer being the fun pet aunt! I have siblings and close friends with dogs and cats, who I've spent a lot of time with and pet sit often. I'm flexible! Not having my own pets also means I have plenty of time and energy to spend with yours. I work full time M-F, but most weeks I work from home 3 days a week, and that can be your home with your fur baby. Whether I'm popping in for a walk or a potty break or spending several nights with your fur baby, they will be my priority. I love a long neighborhood walk, snuggles, and will take the time to play. Let me know if your pet has any special needs or routine, and I will be sure to keep things consistent. I'll work with you to be sure I understand your pupper or kitten's daily and weekly routine--feeding times, exercise needs, medications, and any other necessities.
“Hannah was great!! Super responsive when we needed a sitter last minute and great about keeping us updated along the way! Would absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was little. Dogs and cats, big or small, young or old. I love animals and the usually tend to love me. I have tons of free time until school starts back up in the fall and I free morning, noon, or night. Which tends to be a good thing. I will feed, water, walk/ let into yard as prompted to. Play time and cuddles are also very important when it comes to a pet.
About: I have taken care of young and old dogs for neighbors, friends, and family members since I was 16. I am always sure to take them on plenty of walks, tend to their nutritional needs, and spoil them with attention. Leave me an overview of expectations/directions and your home and furry friends will be in great hands! Disclaimer: I also work a full-time job. I work in Physical Therapy but my mornings and evenings are free and I will give your pets full care and attention before and after work, including overnight stays! If my Rover schedule is free, book me! Morning bathroom break Morning breakfast Evening walk depending on the weather Evening dinner Hangout and play at night -- I can accommodate most routines you may have your pets on throughout the day!
“Kaitlyn has been wonderful!! My dog, Wilson, is prone to anxiety and shyness and she was always so gentle and attentive with him. She understood his needs and took the time to get to know him and make him feel more at ease. It means a lot to have someone who’s willing to work with him where he’s at. She’s consistent, punctual, and an honest and diligent person. She took good care of my shy guy when I wasn’t able to be home at a decent time. Definitely a wholehearted recommendation for Kaitlyn!!!”

Hayle was gracious enough to take my almost last minute 3 day booking when my friend (who usually checks in on my boy) wound up having to go out of town for the second half of my trip. We had enough time for a quick meet n greet and got things squared away before I left. I feel like I didn't give enough info about my boy and probably forgot things for her when she came here. In spite of that, she did a fantastic job and my boy was taken care of while I was gone. Thanks so much!

I can never say enough good things about Jennifer! Truly the best sitter you could have. Sharon assisted this time as well and is just as caring and detailed. They go above and beyond to make sure our kitties are not only fed but also happy and loved while we’re away.

Lauren was wonderful! She took great care of our cat while we were away and sent updates that really helped us relax knowing everything was going well at home. She was reliable, kind, and clearly loves animals. Our cat was comfortable and well cared for, which means a lot to us. We’re very grateful for her help and would happily book with her again. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Diane went above and beyond to make certain my Sheltie and Ragdoll cat were well taken care of, loved and happy. I especially enjoyed the pics of Charlie she would send twice a day. I know now who to request when I need someone to care for them again. Thanks Diane!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lemay. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
