Im currently in college online, so my schedule is very flexible and I am able to be at your house most of the day except when I am working. My work hours change from week to week but I work between 6-8 hour shifts in south county.

Safety, trust & environment
While you’re away, I’d love to keep to the same schedule that your pet is used to and minimize their stress. We can go for walks, sit in the backyard together, or just watch tv on the couch! I’m a good photographer, so you can expect plenty of photos of whatever we end up doing!
Information Katie S. would like to know about your pet
Before meeting your dog, I’d like to know the rules you have in place for them, if they will be nervous or excited when I first walk in, and anything else that may be important when meeting your dog for the first time. Knowing your schedule is a big help too so I know what time I’ll be waking up with them. Any allergies or medications your pet has daily and other than that, just what your expectations are for their daily activities and I’ll provide all the extras. Furthermore, I am committed to supporting long-term pet health and can offer guidance on how to save 10% monthly on pet insurance for the lifetime of your animal. This insurance covers accidents, illnesses, diagnostic tests, and treatments, and allows you to visit any veterinarian of your choice, including emergency clinics and specialists, as all are considered in-network.
A typical day
When I watch new animals I like to get to know them and their energy level first. Once we have a little bond we’ll do a fun activity that they enjoy like going outside or for a walk or whatever it is they like best!

Pet care experience
Hi I’m Katie! I am currently in college looking to pursue an animal degree. I graduated from South Tech’s veterinary assistant class which means I have my vet assistant certification, and I’m well educated on first aid, animal body language, grooming, health, and many more. I’ve always had a handful of animals that were my responsibility and prior experience watching animals for neighbors and friends. I also job shadowed at Affton vet, which gave me the opportunity to watch them perform a number of surgeries, but also routine vaccines. I am also comfortable with administering oral and injected medications.

Reviews

Katie checked in and sent pictures which I really appreciated!

Katie was great with our boys. Communication was spectacular and sharing of pictures was appreciated.

Katie took great care of our pets and home! Would definitely book with her again. Thank you Katie!

As always, Katie did a great job dog/house sitting for us. She regularly checks in with us, sharing pictures of our fur babies, and is always helpful around the house when we’re gone. We highly recommend booking her.
