“Great communication! She sent loads of pictures and a detailed account of visit every day. She spent quality loving time with my cat. I didn't have to worry in the slightest. Highly recommend!”

“Eleanor was fantastic. She reassured us with the report cars and photos. We have older cats so more concern about going on vacation. I highly recommend Eleanor as she clearly loves fur babies. Thank-you!!”

“Stephen did an awesome job watching our dog Frankie on short notice when we were out of town for a wedding. He stopped my multiple times a day to take her on short walks, play with her, and make sure she had food and water. Would hire again. Thanks Stephen!”

“Danny & Jennifer did a great job watching our cats, especially the one with medical issues. Their report and pictures after were so thorough and definitely made us feel better about being away!”

“Danielle did great during a ten day visit with our cat! She sent pictures and was consistent with the time she visited as we requested. Will use her again!”

“Repeat customer, and will continue as long as Heather is willing! She has a peaceful demeanor that pets intuitively appreciate, she's attentive and caring, and managed giving my not-always-cooperative kitty her pill every time. Great communication, above and beyond. Thank you, Heather.”

“Ryan took great care of my dog while I was out of town for a week. She stopped by my house 3 times a day and walked my dog in the evenings. She sent me cute pictures which I appreciated. I was so happy that she was in good hands while I was gone.”

“Jen was a great help in taking care of my cat while I was on vacation. It was easy to communicate with her and I appreciated the updates she gave me about my cats well-being. I would recommend Jen to anyone looking for someone to look after their pets.”

“Rachel did super awesome with both of my cats!I was sent multiple pictures of them each day which made my heart so happy and at ease while on vacation!Thank you again Rachel for being so sweet and taking care of my babies!”

“Mae is the bomb! I think my animals really like them, and I definitely appreciate their support. They have been caring for my babies for going on 3 weeks, 4 days a week and it’s a godsend for my busy schedule. They are super bubbly and sweet, keep on top of communication, and follow instructions to a T. My neighbors see them all the time and always tell me how much they like Mae and how friendly they are. Plus, they take really good pictures. Highly recommend.”

“Gabbie is great! My pup is pretty shy and going through some health concerns. Gabbie was attentive to what my dog needs, has been consistently on-time and has built up trust with her in the span of a week. Sadie seems really excited when Gabbie comes by and seems to enjoy their mid-day play sessions!”

“Katie did a great job with our 2 dogs and we would book her again! We were nervous about hiring a sitter for the first time but she came by our house to meet before we left and we felt comfortable leaving our dogs in her care.”

“Nancy and Paul were delightful. They took great care of our four cats, gave them lots of love and attention, and sent us photos and thorough reports each visit. We would absolutely book them again!”

“Carolyn did a fantastic job caring for my doberman. I was concerned about finding the right person to watch him because of his size and personality, but she was both professional and personal when it came to pet sitting. Recommend her to others!”

“Things fell through with my previous sitter (that wasn’t from Rover). I reached out to Kaity last minute, as I was scrambling to find someone to watch my chihuahua. She came within 1.5 hours of contacting her to do a meet and greet with Bailey since is weary of strangers from a traumatic past. She even moved around some her schedule to accommodate us. He was reserved at first, but quickly warmed up to Kaity. On day 2, he was already waiting at the door for her and greeting her with toys and kisses. I get cute pictures and a little summary of how their time together went. I would definitely recommend Kaity to anyone and I have her on weekly repeat visits. We are happy!”

“Allison is a wonderful cat sitter! I booked Allison for 9 days of drop-in visits to keep my cats food, water, and litter refreshed but she went above and beyond! 1. Expect great photos of your cats. Every day I looked forward to seeing cute pictures of my cats. 2. Allison truly loves cats and understands cat social behavior. During her orientation visit, Allison was clearly very observant of our cats' boundaries and allowed them to make the first contact. By the time she left the orientation, they were sleeping on the floor/couch without a care in the world. Missing parents is already a stress for cats. Given this, introducing a stranger to your home is a tough decision to make but I could already tell I had nothing to worry about and that showed in her updates and especially the photos shared. 3. Allison will keep your cats stimulated! Our cats are very human-oriented and get very antsy when they're parents are out of town. Allison takes time during her drop-in visits to play with them and give them the affection they crave. 4. Allison makes sure you come home to a place exactly as you left it. She took the trash out when it needed. She kept the floor around the litterbox clean from litter. Before now, I've never left home for such a period and come back to a place so clean! Some notes specific to this particular booking: We had a power outage for 4 (or 5?) consecutive days while we were away. Allison made an extra drop-in to check on the cats after the storm because she sensed our power was likely out. She cracked some windows and paid close attention to the cats' comfort throughout the power outage. This was a complete curveball and I'm so glad I chose Allison for this booking. When she says "Pets = unconditional love!" she means it! Everything Allison does in service of your pets. I would re-book based on my previous notes alone, but she handled this power outage so well it's not even a question!”

“Hayle was gracious enough to take my almost last minute 3 day booking when my friend (who usually checks in on my boy) wound up having to go out of town for the second half of my trip. We had enough time for a quick meet n greet and got things squared away before I left. I feel like I didn't give enough info about my boy and probably forgot things for her when she came here. In spite of that, she did a fantastic job and my boy was taken care of while I was gone. Thanks so much!”

I can leave town without worry because I know my cats will be taken care of by Samantha and Christopher. They always go above and beyond to take care of our cats. They also watch my family members senior dogs and do a great job. Also they send lots of pictures of the animals and give detailed updates which I really appreciate. 10/10, will absolutely book again

Janina was so good with our 3 cats. She followed instructions perfectly, and took the best pictures of them. I could enjoy my trip without worrying if they were being taken care of. She even got our shy boy to come around by the end. Definitely recommend her and will book her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilbur Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
