“Nicole and Tim were absolutely great! Good communicators and sent photos and updates throughout our dogs stay. She can be a little particular but settled in immediately and it felt like she got her own vacation while we were on ours. Will definitely book them again!”

“Highly recommend! Our shih tzu is adopted from a puppy mill and is a little quirky. He loved Mary and we could tell she took the time to get to know him and make him comfortable! Charlie had a great vacation at Mary’s!”

“Ali was so responsive when I needed a last minute dog sitter. She was so good with my senior dog. She was also so accommodating during a flight delay. Thank you so much!”
About: Hi I’m Christina! I’ve been a vet tech for 20 years and currently still working in a clinic and I pet sit all the time for friends, family and church fam! I’ve decided to move on up and join rover to expand my love and care for animals. I’m trained in dog/cat handing, emergency, body language and administering medication. I just love what I do! Tour anytime! I’m allowed to bring my animals to work and they absolutely love it! Always hands on. My yard is very large and it works great for running and playtime. My neighbor dogs are so sweet! My pets are crate trained. I also have other large crates and the space! Free range is ok with me! I carry potty pads and diapers for male dogs just in case. I have a little senior Yorkie who needs them too.
“Jennifer was amazing and I highly recommend her! I am the type of dog mom that cancels vacations if my dog can’t come because there are so few people I trust to take care of him... Finding Jennifer was a blessing!! Jennifer got to know Milo at the meet and greet and kept me in the loop with pictures, videos and daily updates. I knew he was safe, happy and well loved while I was out of town. I will absolutely use her services again! 5/5 stars!”

“Shaina and Imogen were great! We had a last minute booking and she was super accommodating. Finley loved her time over there! Will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Amy was simply amazing! She cared for Vino and Nuggets like she would her own dogs and I know they loved her and Peter, her husband! I can’t thank her enough because we were able to enjoy our vacation and know our dogs were well cared for! She takes great pictures too!”

“Sarah was an amazing pet sitter for my Oliver. He loved all the cuddles, fenced yard to run and play fetch, and friends he made during his stay. Sarah was so great with daily updates and loads of pictures! I will definitely use her again!! :)”

“Leslie is our go-to dog sitter! She always makes sure our little fur baby is well cared for, and she always goes the extra mile to make her comfortable. We get lots of photos, so we always know what’s happening and feel confident that our doggie is in excellent hands.”

“Beth watched our 14 yr old Yorkie and 13 mos old “very spirited” Cavapoo. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about dogs and was able to creatively channel our Cavapoo’s energy. We actually learned a few things ourselves. Her daughter and son were so polite and helped make sure our dogs had an enjoyable stay. We appreciated the pictures, text, and videos Beth sent on how well our dogs were doing. This was our first experience with Rover and would highly recommend Beth!”

“Our golden doodle, Gus LOVES Sally! She takes such good care of him and all the other dogs that come into her care. She sends us pictures of all the fun he’s having while we are away. Thank you so much, Sally! 💕”
“Davey was a great sitter for our dog. She's kind or shy, and more of a people person than a dog person, but she did great for a full week with Davey! Would definitely use him again!”

“I hesitate to leave this review only because I want to keep Lorri for myself! She was so good with our dog! Winnie is blind and due to this has separation anxiety when we leave her and a little generalized anxiety in new situations. Within a day, Lorri had her wearing a cute little sweater to keep warm on walls (which Winnie refuses to wear for me), had her cuddling on the couch and even took her for walks in a store! I know Winnie was comfortable with her because she was clearly relaxed in the many photos and videos we got while we were away. Lorri is the best!”

“Karen took care of our 12 1/2 year old female pup who was raised in Nicaragua where other dogs were a threat not a friend. Our pup loves people but is not always friendly with other dogs. Karen was very attentive and communicative during the week our pup stayed with her. She was patient and kind We would use Karen again.”

“We appreciated Nana taking on Mowgli for a few days. She always kept us updated and welcomed Mowgli to her home. I appreciated the pictures and detailed updates throughout his stay. Mowgli was very happy since he got to play a lot and was very well taken care of.”

“Paige was great! She and her boyfriend were very attentive to mango and took her on walks and adventures everyday. Sent daily photos and updates. Will definitely use again!”

“Reba was absolutely amazing! She watched our 1 year old corgi overnight at her house and he had a blast. She sent plenty of pictures and videos and our pup got so much love, play time, and cuddles. It was over 100 degrees when Archie stayed with Reba and we really appreciated how cautious she was about the dogs being in the heat for too long and made sure they were cooled off and hydrated. We will absolute be booking with Reba again and I know Archie can’t wait!”

“Oh my gosh, Adolfo is the BEST!!!! He sent me so many pics of my dog while I was gone, she had the time of her life with him and his dogs! He truly loves dogs, and cares deeply about them. My dog Wendy has a wonderful time with Adolfo, she will definitely be going back next time I’m out of town. What a nice guy, thanks so much for giving Wendy such a fun vacation!!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakville
Monica and her son RJ took care of our dog for six days over the Thanksgiving holiday. I previously had people come to the house to feed and walk him when I went out of town but he seemed stressed when I did that so I thought I would try to board him this time. He seems much calmer and happier having spent time at Monica’s place. I also appreciated the updates and pictures.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
