“Wow! Judith was amazing! So professional, so easy going, so nice and genuinely cared about my dog. I was SO comfortable leaving my baby with her. She wanted to know everything about Nikki. Bed times, feeding times, where Nikki liked to be scratched!!!! I loved that she called my dog “her guest.” Another amazing thing was Judith sent not only photos during the day and evening but a little information about Nikki’s day. That way I got a glimpse of how Nikki was doing. Plus, Nikki is a senior dog and Judith had no problem with her special needs. . She even spoiled her with some treats (which she made sure I was okay with) and spoiled her. We found the perfect animal lover to take care of our Nikki while we had to be away. Judith is our go to for sure! Xoxox”
“Boarding with Karen was a breeze! She is easy going and communicative, I felt comfortable leaving her with my older, anxious dog because I knew she would be patient and kind!”

“Our dog enjoyed her stay at Katie’s! Katie was attentive to her needs and her dog got along great with ours. Katie’s home is cozy and Finley enjoyed the large backyard. I hope to be able to rebook with her in the future!”

“Julia was absolutely wonderful with our dogs while we were out of state for the week. From the start, she was friendly, communicative, and incredibly responsive, which made it so much easier to relax and enjoy our trip. She kept us updated regularly and was always quick to answer any questions. Most importantly, we could tell our dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for in her hands. It’s such a relief to find someone you can trust with your pets, and Julia exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful for the care she provided and would not hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have always had a dog and cat in my life (and still do!). I have been using Rover for two years and I don't seem to want to stop anytime soon. I have trained two golden retrievers and walked a lot of puppies, senior dogs and many ages in-between. One of my own dogs was awarded canine good citizenship before my children were born. I love being around animals and I have a caring nature. Now that my kids are getting older, it fits my need to get exercise and bring some joy into my life. I would love to give your pet some snuggles, snacks and I am always mindful to send lots of photos to ensure you can relax while you are away. I know that is what I would want as a pet owner. Some people think you have to either be a "dog person" or a "cat person". Not me! They both have a place in my heart for very different reasons. Cats take some time, but I love their comforting purr, the playfulness of spunky kittens or just petting their soft fur. Some owners simply just someone they can trust for a check-in. I am happy to provide the details needed so you can be OK while you are away. I am typically available in the afternoons as long as I don’t have a meeting scheduled (I work from home) and most evenings are available. Weekends are the best time to book care if you will be out for soccer games, dinner or long evening plans. I have kids as well and I have used Rover for 6+ years on my own pets. I am excited to return the favor to you now that my kids are older. I have used crates with my own pets during training and I will follow whatever safety instructions are needed. I understand all collars, how to avoid run ins with feisty dogs and other concerns you may have. I know how to troubleshoot dogs that like to find hiding spots or have the ability to slip out of the door. I am 40+ and I am raising tweens at this point, so I have a little wisdom under me that other walkers may not have at this point. I am also trustworthy. I have a great full-time job coupled with flexibility. I just want to combine my love of pets with a little extra income.
About: I have had a dog my entire life growing up. My parents relied on me to take care of my childhood dog and I learned so much just by doing that. I am now 30 and got my own puppy about four years ago. I lover her so much! I give her biweekly baths, daily walks and hourly playtime! Whether it is a walk, daycare or overnight stay, you can trust me to love and care for your pup! I am a teacher so I have the summers off to take care of your dog! I like to wake up early and take my own dog on a walk to start my day. I have a very free and flexible schedule! I have a fenced in yard and mini Bernedoodle who loves all dogs! I am very responsible and my house and yard are extremely dog friendly.
“Many thanks to Erica for her good work. She even dropped my dog off at our regular dog sitter. Erica provided coverage while our regular sitter who was out of town. I had to have surgery during this time and Erica really made things go smoothly.”

“Olive loved her stay with Songyuan! He sent us a lot of photos/updates, was very quick to reply, and the most important, we knew Olive was very well cared for. We will absolutely have Olive return on our next trip away. Thank you so much!!!”

“Ali was great with our Tucker he is 3months still learning everything as he grows this was our first time using Rover , and we are very pleased, she was not only so kind and humble with us and Tuck but her communication is awesome she sent updates and lots of pictures which we loved so much. I had to extend 1 extra night due to our flight and she was nothing but great and understanding with me I’m so grateful for her and her daughter Tucker was in great hands! Made our few day trip less stressful we no worries!”

“The peace of mind I have when I leave my puppy with Caitlin and Adam is invaluable. We were gone for almost 2 weeks and I never had a single concern. They take such good care of Jet!”

“Katie's home was very welcoming to us and our Murray. We met Katie, her son, mom and sister at our meet & greet. A very friendly family, all dog lovers. Murray made himself at home immediately, checking out the new territory, and quickly found a playmated, Maggie. We had a comfortable feeling immediately with no concerns that Murray would be well taken care of. Katie will be our go-to-sitter if needed in the future. Murray seconds this decision. He enjoyed his vacation and slept for 2.5 days after coming home!”

“Amy was a wonderful sitter! I knew from the moment we had our meet and greet that Winston was going to be in good hands! For six nights, our dog was in a lovely home and was well cared for. Amy took him on regular walks and sent pictures to show us how happy and at home he was! I highly recommend Amy and plan to use her services in the future!”

About: I help with pets often. Neighbors trust me to walk, play, and care for their animals. I enjoy playing outside and cuddling with animals. I can’t wait to meet new animals. I work from home 2 days a week and I work in the office short 5 hour days during the week with no evenings or weekends. I have a private, fenced, level yard. I have a no outlet neighborhood for nice safe walks. I enjoy playing the back yard, going for walks and snuggles too.
“Andrea was a fantastic dog sitter! Her and her daughter took care of my Jesse like he was their own! They bought him toys and treats and loved on him. He was a very happy dog! Andrea kept me up to date with picks and messages on how Jesse was doing. Jesse loved it there and I would definitely use Andrea again and again! Lots of love in that house hold for all pets!”

“Leslie was great! Our dog has separation anxiety and he was veey comfortable at Leslie’s place. She communicated really well and was super flexible with pick up and drop off. Already booked our next stay!”

“Amelia was great! My dog was totally comfortable at her home. She sent pictures each day and kept us posted on how he was doing. She also took him on big walks through the parks. Would definitely recommend and will use again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fenton
This was my first experience with Rover and with Stephanie. My 2 dogs were so well taken care of. I was updated daily on their well being and I could tell that they had the chance to run around a lot based on how tired they were on their return home. I will definitely be a repeat customer!!!
Sara was an absolute savior. We booked a trip last minute and she was able be an amazing host for Gia. She was more than accommodating with Gias needs for walks throughout the day and my needs for pics. Gia gets some anxiety when away from home and sometimes doesn’t eat so much the first days. Sara kept me well informed of Gias behavior and I felt relieved that she was with someone who cared so much. More than satisfied and much appreciated.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
