“Great communication during the entire stay. Ramen made friends with Haley's own cat and arrived back home calm and very much his normal personality, both good indicators he had a comfortable stay. Thank you for loving our boy while we were away.”

“Melinda was great with Sonny. She listened to me as I explained my dog's needs since he is an older dog. Despite not having a fence she explained how she keeps the dogs under her care safe. I would rebook with Melinda again.”
“Carly & Doug were excellent in taking care of our fur baby. I recommend them to anyone who would like to have top notch care for their fur babies. Thank you so much!!”

“Sonja treated our dog so well I'm surprised he wanted to come home. She sent pictures while we were away of their trip to a park, snuggles, playing, chewing on a bone, and looking very happy. We are happy to have such a high-quality dog sitter!”

About: I love dogs with all my heart. I am a new dog owner, but I am no stranger to dog care as I took care of my friends dog for a night and on other occasions. I have around 9 months of experience of taking care of my puppy. I have trained him in some of the basic commands and sometimes I love to make doggy treats for him. I am a recent graduate of highschool and will be home for most of the time. I will be able to take care of your dog anytime required. I have a temporary fence setup in my backyard along with a spacious basement. I have an extra bed if required for your pet along with extra blankets. If you would want your pet to be in a specific area of the house, there are extra fences that can be used. I will be able to monitor your dogs routine and needs. I will pay attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any other needs you put in. I will make sure to give regular updates through photos or calls.
“Raina has watched our girl twice now and we really appreciate her. Great communication, pictures, video. Her home is setup great and we are very grateful we found such a professional and caring dog sitter. Thank you Raina!”

“My dogs have stayed twice with francie. It has gone really well. I believe she really enjoys them and they come home happy. She is easy to communicate with and flexible with drop off pick up times. I will definitely use her again.”

“Tim was such an answered prayer! Our petsitter had to cancel last minute and he was so willing to step in and was patient and flexible with all of our questions. Both of our dogs told us they had a blast at his dog parks and playing with Oliver his sweet dog. I really appreciated the extra time he took to send pics and videos as well as deliver them back home to help us out since we were running late getting home due to weather and holiday traffic. Rusty and Daisy give Tim two paws up and we do too! We hope to get lucky enough to have him watch our dogs again in the near future!”

“Stephanie is amazing! She provides updates regularly with lots of pictures. She allows the dogs access to the backyard at anytime she’s there via a dog door. She went above and beyond and really”

“Amy was a wonderful sitter! I knew from the moment we had our meet and greet that Winston was going to be in good hands! For six nights, our dog was in a lovely home and was well cared for. Amy took him on regular walks and sent pictures to show us how happy and at home he was! I highly recommend Amy and plan to use her services in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - High Ridge
Anthony and Sofia took wonderful care of our anxious, senior dog. She stayed a little over a week and came home happy and healthy. They gave her medicine every night and sent updates, photos and videos — mostly of our pup asleep on the couch, exactly where she loves to be! Before we’d always taken her to a boarding facility, but it’s clear she was much happier staying at their home. We will definitely be booking again!

Sara was an amazing Rover sitter. From the Meet and Greet to the stay, Sara was organized, calm, and caring. She welcomed Bruno into her home and cared for him like he was her own dog. Sara sent daily pictures and videos, and provided us with detailed updates. Bruno came home happy and well-adjusted. I highly recommended Sara, and we’ll be looking to her when we need a sitter again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
