About: It all started at 15 years old working at my first doggie daycare. That experience and passion led me into watching family/friends animals for years. During college I started to work for an exotic animal hospital and fell in love. I’ve roughly had 3 years of experience in a clinical setting between jobs. But I’ve been working with animals since before I can remember! I’m currently a full-time scientist that works Monday-Friday. I’m fortunate enough to get the afternoon to myself for a few hours to walk and hangout with the animals! I typically like to watch owners animals in their own home. I’m in the process of working towards offering boarding in my home. The pet is always more comfortable and relaxed when they’re in their own home!

About: Animals, of all kinds, have enchanted me since I was a little girl, and pets have been especially important to me throughout my entire life. I have experience caring for many types of animals of my own, including dogs, cats, chicks/chickens, goats, and a beloved rabbit. I've done extensive research on the unique needs these animals require to stay healthy and happy. And I have lots of practice, too! I've cared for pets of family members, friends, and neighbors, beginning in childhood. The trust I'm given is a gift I don't take for granted. Additionally, I've fostered many dogs/puppies and cats/kittens. I have experience caring for dogs and cats in all life stages, from bottle baby kittens to senior dogs. Circumstantially, the dedication required in keeping exotic pets and livestock has given me knowledge, skills, insight, and confidence that has strengthened my caregiving ability for dogs and cats. I'm available to provide pet care all days and times of the week with the exception of occasional scheduled appointments, etc. or if I experience an unexpected illness or emergency. I value and genuinely enjoy listening to and learning from others, so I begin to get to know pets through their people. This gives me an introduction to your pet's one of a kind personality and the needs of your family. I appreciate written details that are especially important to you and your family. Things like your pet's favorite activities, toys, etc., specific routines (if applicable), or anything that will ease concerns you might have about being away from home. Having a solid foundation helps me provide the best care possible for pets and their people. I engage pets with play and physical activity as well as mental stimulation. Animals capture my attention moreso than most anything else. I watch pets diligently and carefully observe them for signs of distress or illness. One of my strengths is comforting animals in need. I'm thoroughly competent in administering first aid to many kinds of animals and certified through the American Red Cross for Cat & Dog First Aid. Priority will be given to communicating with you any concerns I have regarding your pet's well-being. I'm also happy to communicate with you as much as you prefer while you're away to keep you in touch with your pet.

“I have 2 older but still active beagles that love Max, he is our go-to when we need a sitter. We have used Max over and over whether for a few days and even for a couple of weeks when he has stayed here at my house when we have traveled on vacations. The care he gives Agnes and Milly is thoughtful, kind and stimulating. Max’s character is above reproach and he is great big brother to our fur babies.”
