“Nicki did everything I requested and my babies were taken very good care of. She updated me when she was on her way over and took pictures. She gave both of my cats attention and one of them can be rather difficult.”

“Thank you for taking care of our little Jing Li. This is the first time we have EVER had a stranger take care of her and I must admit, I was very nervous. The fact that you sent daily photos of her put my mind at ease. Thanks again. We look forward to a couple more bookings this Summer.”

“Rachel was fantastic and kept an open line of communication which was very much appreciated! We loved getting her descriptive daily check ins complete with photos and videos. After our initial meet and greet we felt at ease knowing she is a dedicated cat owner. We highly recommend her and would book her again!”

“Jayne has been just amazing! She provided drop in service for our cat Bernice for a week and I could not imagine ever getting any better care. She came on a regular schedule every day, took care of all her needs and spent time playing with her. I received pictures and a Rover report after every visit. She even bought her new toys! Bernice and I were extremely happy with Jayne and would highly recommend her.”

“Amy was a life saver! This was our first time using the rover app and she made sure our Dog was very well taken care. She made sure to send us alot of pictures and kept us updated on the daily. Little does she know made my trip stress free knowing our dog was in good hands. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Asa was wonderful. Trustworthy, spent quality time with our puppy Violet. When I got home she looked better than when I left and is better behaved. I can't say enough great things about Asa. I never needed to worry because the updates and pictures told the story.”

“Cyndi is amazing! She checks in on our dog Sherman and is always great at keeping us updated on how he is doing. She sends pictures and takes care of him just as we would. I would highly recommend Cyndi!”

“Melanie did a great job taking care of my kitty when I was away. My kitty had some vomiting issues before my trip and I had to change the frequency of visit last minute. She was able to accommodate the request no issues. She also made sure to let me know my kitty didn’t vomit in every visit summary. She did everything as I requested.”

“Hayle was gracious enough to take my almost last minute 3 day booking when my friend (who usually checks in on my boy) wound up having to go out of town for the second half of my trip. We had enough time for a quick meet n greet and got things squared away before I left. I feel like I didn't give enough info about my boy and probably forgot things for her when she came here. In spite of that, she did a fantastic job and my boy was taken care of while I was gone. Thanks so much!”

About: I am a huge animal person and love to take care and play with your pets of any kind! I have been cat sitting and dog walking for years for family and neighbors, and have always been there for even a short pop-in visit. Working in my local animal shelter I specialized in both feline and canine care, and know everything about keeping your pet happy and healthy. I have two cats of my own that I treat like my babies and grew up with dogs all my life, and I hope I can treat your pets as good as my own! I am currently working part time with a varying schedule, but will typically have the same days off every week which will allow me to have a more consistent schedule when caring for your pet. I will always approach a new dog or cat with caution and assess their behavior before jumping right in, not only for my well-being but also theirs to avoid any extra stress.
About: I’ve been caring for cats for many years and have experience pet sitting for both cats and dogs for friends and family. While my background is stronger with cats, I’m comfortable handling the day-to-day needs of dogs as well, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and maintaining routines. I know how important consistency is for pets, especially when their owners are away, so I make it a priority to carefully follow any instructions regarding feeding, medications, dietary restrictions, routines, or other special care needs. Because I work remotely, I’m also able to spend much more time at home with pets than many sitters can, which means more company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. I currently work remotely on a typical Monday–Friday daytime schedule and am able to work from anywhere within the state, which means I can comfortably set up my work-from-home station while house and pet sitting. This allows me to be much more present and attentive throughout the day compared to sitters who may be away for long periods of time. My work is also fairly flexible, allowing me to adjust meetings and tasks as needed to help accommodate feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, and other routine care. Weekends are typically very open for me as well, giving me even more flexibility and availability for your pets’ needs. I currently have two cats of my own: Draco, an 11-year-old part Manx, and Loki, a 6-year-old black American Shorthair. I’ve had both of them since they were kittens, and caring for them has given me years of hands-on experience with maintaining routines, monitoring health, and creating a calm, safe environment for pets. Draco previously needed some extra attention with his weight and diet, and through a consistent feeding routine and focused care, he was able to lose over 10 pounds and maintain a much healthier lifestyle. That experience reinforced for me how important consistency, patience, and closely following care instructions can be for pets. Loki is a rescue and can be a little shy at first, so I also understand the importance of giving pets time to adjust, respecting their comfort levels, and helping anxious pets feel safe and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to maintain their normal routines as closely as possible so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away.
About: I have experience in walking dogs, and house sitting. I have stayed with cats as well. I used to be a doggy daycare attendant! My responsibilities included: feeding animals on a regular schedule, walking them on a schedule, giving them medication, and giving them play time and attention. As an animal lover I know that pets need more than just food and water. They need love and affection too! Count on me to give it my all to your pets. :) I am currently employed part time, and am looking to make extra cash and to connect with pets since I don’t have any of my own. (Yet!) I would have to have an early heads up of when you’d need me, because I get my work schedule weekly. I apologize, but I am unable to provide at home services. I will do all that is necessary to love and take care of your pet.
“Misty was great with my dog, Sasha. She came by twice a day for an hour each to walk her, refill her food & water bowls, spend time with her, and check on her. She was punctual and reliable. She gave great updates with photos. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was being well care for and looked after. I came home to a happy pet who didn’t have to be boarded or kenneled. Thank you, Misty! I’ll definitely use you again.”

“My older dog is blind and crabby and my younger dog has the energy of a toddler after drinking a RedBull. She did great with both of them! She is a vet tech at the same vet practice for many years, so I feel better having that experience if anything would ever happen. Definitely would recommend.”

“My husband and I were very happy to find the Rover services and extremely co nfident finding Tara to take care of our 2 dogs. She was very professional and very kind. I feel like I really got to know Tara before we even left town. We had constant updates & pictures. We were no t concerned at all while we were gone. Tara was wonderful and we will get in touch with her again the next time we leave town. Thank-you Tara”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats around me pretty much my entire life, and I’ve always believed they’re part of the family. In our house, Pepper and Lily pretty much run the show! 😊 Pepper is our 8-year-old Maltipoo, and Lily is our 6-year-old American Shorthair cat. They keep us entertained, keep us on schedule, and remind us who is really in charge. I’m retired, which gives me something many pet sitters don’t have as much of — time. I enjoy being around animals and would much rather spend my day with a dog or cat than rush in and out between a dozen other commitments. Over the years, I’ve cared for the pets of friends, relatives, and neighbors. I haven’t done it professionally, but I’ve been a pet owner and animal lover all my life, and I understand how much trust is involved when you leave someone with your pets. A little about how I care for pets Every pet is different. Some want a long walk and lots of play; others are perfectly happy curling up beside you. I’m happy to follow their routine and your instructions — whether that means walks, meals at a particular time, medications, special attention, or caring for an older pet. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight care in your home. My preference is house sitting because I think most pets are happiest in their own surroundings, with their familiar beds, toys, smells, and routines. I don’t offer boarding at my home because Lily has made it clear that she does not appreciate houseguests of the canine variety! 😄 Your home matters to me, too. This is something I feel strongly about because I’ve used Rover myself. We’ve had Rover sitters care for our pets and stay in our home, so I know what it’s like to hand your keys—and your furry family members—to someone you don’t know. I will treat your home the way I want someone to treat mine: with respect, care, cleanliness, and common sense. I’ll follow your instructions, keep things tidy, and make sure your home is secure while you’re away. Most importantly, I want you to be able to enjoy your trip or time away without worrying about what’s happening at home. I’m not looking to simply “check in” on your pets. I enjoy their company. I’ll talk to them, play with them, take them for walks, give them attention, and let them keep me company. If your pets are happy, I’m happy. That’s really what this is about. ❤️🐾 I’d love to meet you and your pets, learn their routines, and see if we’re a good fit. I’m retired and have a very flexible schedule, including evenings and overnight stays. I enjoy being with pets and can give them plenty of time and attention. I treat your home with the same respect I expect for mine. We’ve used Rover sitters ourselves, so I understand the trust involved. I’ll follow your instructions, keep your home secure and tidy, and give your pets attentive, dependable care.

Diane went above and beyond to make certain my Sheltie and Ragdoll cat were well taken care of, loved and happy. I especially enjoyed the pics of Charlie she would send twice a day. I know now who to request when I need someone to care for them again. Thanks Diane!

Kyra went so far above and beyond while caring for our 6-year-old black Lab mix and three cats (Ruca, Hala, and Dahlia). We left her with detailed instructions and some quirks — a big dog who gets a bit too excited around others, cats with different personalities and a special eye condition, litter box maintenance, etc. She handled everything perfectly. While we were away, our apartment complex had a sewer backup (every pet sitter’s nightmare). Kyra didn’t just call us — she jumped in, cleaned what she safely could with her own supplies, kept us updated the entire time, and made sure our pets were safe and comfortable. She also sent regular photo updates that made it obvious our crew loved her — relaxed, happy, and well cared for. It’s hard to leave your pets, but Kyra made it feel effortless and worry-free. She’s reliable, resourceful, communicates clearly, and truly treats your animals like her own. I can’t recommend her highly enough — if you’re lucky enough to book her, do it!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
