Pet care experience

A home-away-from-home for your pup

My love for animals goes beyond pet care—it’s part of my career! I work in product development at a pet supplement company, where I collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and fellow dog/cat enthusiasts every day. Being surrounded by industry experts has deepened my understanding of canine health, wellness, and behavior.

Sophia did a great job watching our lil doggy. She communicated very well and took lots of pictures for us which helped us get through the time away from our doggy.

Plan to use Sophia to watch Serge again. Loved getting updates and pictures. I feel totally confident saying he had a good time, too.

Sophia and Claire did a great job as a sitter for our doodle. She had a bit of separation anxiety but they were so patient and accommodating. Exactly what my family needed from a sitter!

Sophia was awesome! She did a great job communicating and sent lots of pictures. Mitzie is 17 and she made sure to take extra care of my Senior lady. Thanks Sophia!

Sophia did such a great job caring for my Franklin. He had the best weekend going for walks and playing fetch in her fenced in yard! Sophia was great with communication and so easy to work with!

Safety, trust & environment

Cats are more of a new territory for me, but as I frequently take care of friends’ cats while they’re away, I’ve grown to understand their own unique behaviors and love them as much.

A typical day

I love keeping each pet engaged in ways that match their personality and energy level. For playful pups, that might mean longer walks, fetch sessions, or exploring new sniff spots around the neighborhood. For more mellow dogs, I’m happy to take things slow — maybe a slower and cozy stroll, backyard nap times, or some gentle cuddle time on the couch. I also live close to Tower Grove Park, so that also means frequent park walks, picnics, and/or farmer's market visits (depending on your pup's preference and the weather)!

1. Let me know if your dog has any special needs, required medicine, or unique routines. I want to make sure your pup feels completely comfortable and cared for, so please share anything that helps me understand their needs — whether it’s a favorite blanket, a certain walking pace, or how they like their meals served. 2. Share their personalities and quirks. Do they expect a treat after dinner? Have special verbal cues they understand? Any specific signs they show when they need attention? Knowing what makes each dog unique is important to me to provide the best care possible. 3. Tell me where they like to be pet (or where they don’t!). Every dog has their own preferences, and I always take the time to read their cues and respect their boundaries. Knowing what makes your dog feel relaxed and happy helps me make their stay or walk feel just like home.
