“Jacob is a wonderful pet sitter. He took care of my two cats and kept me updated with pics and notes about how they were doing. One of my cats’ had trouble adjusting but he encouraged her everyday to come out of her safe place. She finally came out on the last day. So I will definitely use him again. By the way he took my cats in an emergency situation and contacted me right away. Thank you to Rover, but mostly a huge shout out and thank you to Jacob.”

“We had a fairly short notice trip and needed to leave our two dogs for a week. We took them for a daycare first the week before, and they were super excited to go back when we dropped them off for trip.”

“We were so pleased with Rachel and Joe! They took great care of our Buster, he was treated as family and we were extremely pleased with the pictures, videos and text updates several times a day. Buster seemed so happy while we were gone for a week. We missed him so much but knew he was having a great time. Thanks Rachel and Joe for taking care of our giant baby and we will definitely leave Buster with you again!!”

“Karen was an amazing sitter! We hadn't found a trustworthy sitter in the area which had limited our travels, so we feel very fortunate of the experience with Karen.”

“Winnie had a great time during her visit with Quia! She got lots of snuggles, walks, & even made some new pup friends. Quia took our booking pretty last-minute when we had an unexpected change to our plans and we are so grateful. Her nice fenced backyard is a huge plus. Thank you Quia!”

“Oliver has been there twice. He was very excited when he saw the house the second time and knew he was going back there. Jordan has always communicated with me very well and been very flexible with arrangements”

“My puppy Onyx had a blast I was a little fearful because I just got him and he’s so small. He stayed overnight and when I dropped him off he was a little timid. By the time I returned the next morning he was running around with her lab like they were old friends. I would definitely recommend Shannon for your furry kids.”

“Robert did an excellent job taking care of our dog that by the time I went to pick him up, he decided that he wants to continue to starly on the couch with his friend. I had to coax off the couch so that we could get going home since it was late when I picked up him. I would recommend him for anyone who needs their furrikids to be taken care in there absence.”

“Tre’Ana was an excellent host and worked with me on times and dates. Would recommend her to anyone!! My Hazel was definitely taken care of and so happy when I picked her up.”

“Teresa was wonderful. Kind and thoughtful to make sure our Maggie had a good time. Even a new friend in Snickers. Perfect experience. Thank you Teresa. Will reach out again.”

“Asia was so sweet and professional. When we first arrived Asia and her fur baby Crypto welcome us. Asia made my lil boy (Biskit) feel so at home. I asked Asia to send me text, pictures, and videos, and she did just that. That really made my heart fill of joy to see pictures and videos of my lil boy(Biskit) and to know that he was well taken care of. We thank you so much Asia from the bottom of our hearts 💕 Sylvia and Antwon Dudley.”

About: We've always had dogs. We unexpectedly lost one of our furry companions. We have an empty yard and dog safe household. We loved walking our dog and would love to walk yours. Evan is in a season of availability to care for a few extra pups for anyone who needs it. We have a fenced in yard with lots of shade and sunny spots. Just a little York terrier next door. We'll walk as much as needed to get the dog(s) tired and feed whatever diet is needed. We have a 4 ft chain link fenced backyard with a latching gate, a little Yorky next door who is all bark and no bite, named Salvy, he's friendly. He only comes out a few time a day. Easily avoided if necessary.

“If you want your pet to be spoiled and catered to while you’re away, I highly recommend Nana! She was fantastic with providing care and updates.”

“I highly recommend Sonya and her family for pet sitting! I recently left my dog, Macario, with them while I was away camping for several days, and they took excellent care of him. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was comfortable, well-loved, and treated like part of the family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great stay. They were easy to communicate with, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure both Macario and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. As a dog mom, having peace of mind while you're away is priceless, and that's exactly what they provided. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Macario!”

“Kelsey always does an incredible job with updates and pictures throughout the stay for my golden retrievers, and took a last minute booking with a smile, I’d absolutely recommend her to anybody who needs somebody to do a great job for them and their furry babies!”

About: Hi, I’m Natalie! — a lifelong animal lover and devoted pet parent to five birds and a tortoise who both have their own rooms which allows for complete separation while your animal(s) are here! With years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds, I know every animal deserves personalized attention and love. Because I do have epilepsy, I provide pet care at my home, where your furry, feathered, or scaled friend will be safe, happy, and treated like family while you’re away. Although I do only take 1 CLIENT at a time, if your house has more than 1 animal, I ABSOLUTELY allow all animals from the same household at the same time! I do work from home which allows me full attention to be able to play, feed, let outside, and anything else that your pet may need, want or require! Although I do only take 1 CLIENT at a time, if your house has more than 1 animal, I ABSOLUTELY allow all animals from the same household at the same time! I have a fully fenced in backyard which allows for lots of outside zoomies, and also a couple balls for some outside fun! I do have a XL- “Kong” crate if needed, I also have food and water bowls, I never mind if dogs are allowed on furniture and or beds. I also have experience with senior dogs, administering meds and dogs that may need to be diapered!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
