“Paige did a great job with the house and 3 dogs for a week long assignment. I especially appreciated that she took out the trash and started the dishwasher before she left! I would recommend Paige to anyone needing someone to housesit with their dogs. Thanks Paige!”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

“Leaving Bailey is never easy, especially because of his seizure history, but Heather made the entire experience stress-free. She was dependable, caring, and attentive, and it was obvious that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. Knowing Bailey was safe allowed us to enjoy our trip without constant worry. We are thankful for her help and would happily recommend her to friends and family. Bailey will definitely be seeing her again! 🐾”

“Alex & his wife took care of my 3 pups over a long weekend. I had them stay at my home as 2 are foster dogs & more comfortable here now. Everything was great & the pups were well taken care of.”

“Melissa was my first dogsitter and I couldn’t be happier. She met with Charli a few times before we left until she gained her trust. She kept us updated with pictures of their walks and played with her downstairs. Our home was exactly as we left as Melissa was very tidy. When we arrived home, Charli was very happy but she kept running to Melissa in her excitement. I love that I can ask Melissa to watch Charli again without hesitation. You can tell she loves the time she spends with her. Thank you, Melissa!”

“Leah was perfect! We got regular updates with pictures and videos. She asked great questions on the initial interview and she genuinely loved meeting our pups. Plus the pups loved her too. She has followed all the detailed notes we left her. We will definitely have her watch our pups again.”

“Asia helped us out at the last minute and we had a great experience! She came over multiple times per day to take care of our dog while we were out of town and sent lots of pictures. We would definitely use her again!”

“Sarah was very responsive and took great care of Ellie and Charlotte. The updates she sent us really showed me that our two girls became really comfortable with her quickly.”

About: Hi👋 I'm Jill. I grew up on a farm and have always been around dogs & cats. I currently have two cats of my own. They were both strays and came into my life at different times. I love interacting with all types of animals. Since I can't have a dog of my own yet due to living situations, I would love to take care of yours! My sister and brother in-law have two dogs that I watch when they go out of town. One is a bigger 70 lbs Australian Shepard and the other is a smaller 10 lbs toy poodle. I hope to bring peace of mind to you and happiness & excitement to your pets. I work full time, but am available anytime on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays most weeks. 6 a.m. is the earliest I'm available and 10:30 p.m. is the latest. Availability breakdown: Sundays- Before 11 a.m. after 5:30 p.m. Mondays- After 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Wednesdays- After 3:30 p.m. Thursdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Fridays- Before 8:45 a.m. after 7:30 p.m. Saturdays- 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Anytime) My two cats are grazers so they get fed twice a day and eat when they get hungry. They have a water fountain that circulates the water to mimick a stream. They seem to enjoy moving water better than still standing in a bowl. When I watch my sister & brother in-laws dogs I take them for walks twice a day and we play & cuddle. I work on tricks with them too. I normally use their dry food as treats if we work on tricks for a while.
“Madyson was the sweetest sitter we have had ever! She really was loving to our pup and considerate of our wishes re the house sitting. We will definitely book her again if we can.”

“Rachel was amazing. She was very accommodating and communicative. She treated our pets like her very own and she is definitely a dog lover. We will definitely hire her again. Thank you Rachel!!”

“Greta was wonderful. Our pup is low maintenance, he just requires someone to be around often. She was great with him and followed all his instructions. It's great knowing your pup is safe and happy while away.”

About: My experience in pet care is broad and customized to each animal's specific requirements. I have experience working with older pets, adult dogs, and puppies, so I have a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs regarding care. I am different from other sitters because I take a different approach to establishing comfort and trust. I place a high priority on positive reinforcement methods, particularly for puppies, as it helps them learn important commands while making sure they have fun. I concentrate on the unique medical requirements of elderly pets, such as managing medicines and addressing mobility issues. I work hard to provide every pet in my care a loving environment, whether it means attending to their specific nutritional needs, exercise requirements, or affection. I work flex at Amazon so my schedule is pretty open. Just tell me what days you need me and I’ll do my best to accommodate for that. I take the time to learn about the unique personality and preferences of each pet, which makes them feel more at ease. I am open in my communication with pet owners about their unique habits and any worries they may have.
“She was simply great! We have 2 fluffy huskies and one is diabetic, which means that has a VERY rigid and strict schedule and also requires injections. Taylor was on point with updates via texts and followed every single direction we have her. Absolutely amazing job! We'll be coming back to her 100%”

“WONDERFUL DOG SITTER!!!! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jess! She is reliable, efficient, caring, and incredibly gentle with our doggie. Our dog can be quite fearful, but she took the time to patiently work with him. It was amazing to see the trust she built with him in less than a few hours!! I felt completely comfortable knowing our puppy was in such loving and capable hands. She truly went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and dependable dog sitter! ❤️🐾”

“From the meet and greet alone, you can tell Sydney genuinely loves what she does~especially with big dogs, which I feel like not everyone is as comfortable with. She was super thoughtful and professional, but also just easy to trust right away. We felt completely at ease leaving our boys with her, which says a lot. Would absolutely book her again.”

“Bridget did a good job keeping me in the loop while house sitting with our pups. She shared pics and the dogs seemed to like her right off the bat. We will rebook soon.”

Absolutely amazing experience! She took the best care of my dogs! She treated them like her very own! She took great care of my house and even washed my towels. I’ll most definitely be using her service again. My dogs loved her! ❤️ I can’t thank her enough for putting my mind at ease while I was gone.
Bryant is a star house sitter! He's good with my dogs when I observe them together, and I know he's like that when I'm gone. I was 2,000 miles away, when Bryant notified my dogs were ill. He didn't hesitate to promptly call and take them to my vet. He kept me updated. My dogs are basically fine now. I hope to Use Bryant agaìǰ̣

The first time Aaliyah met my dogs they instantly took to her. I confirmed my booking with her immediately because I could tell how comfortable they were with her already. She took great care of my house and I was sent multiple pictures a day which put my mind at ease. Even in the snow, she took my energetic girl out to play ball. Although Aaliyah had to cancel part of her stay I was able to make everything work and I appreciate the time she was able to spend with them. I would recommend her to anyone and I will be rebooking with her in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bridgeton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bridgeton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bridgeton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bridgeton. On Rover:

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
