“Sara was so good with our boy! She met up with us beforehand, kept us in the loop of how he was doing, and sent great photos so we could see him while we were away. She even got him to eat his food and take his pill (which he doesn’t always do). Thanks so much for taking such good care of Ernie!!”

“Teresa did awesome with my dog. She took her for a walk, outside to play, and let my dog nap on her. My girl has separation anxiety and Teresa made her feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you!”

“Brittany was great. Typically my old boy when I leave him for any given time gives me the cold shoulder when I pick him up. Not this time, he was excited and extremely happy. Even the pictures she had sent you can see happiness in his eyes!”
“Brandon did great with Bailey! I could tell she really had fun. Met her bestyyy ZZ and was pretty bummed about going home as soon as we put her in the car😆 won’t stop whining as soon as we got home. Will definitely book brandon again! Real soon.”

“Gustavo was amazing! He sent us plenty of pictures and videos to keep us updated and to make sure our dog was happy and comfortable the entire time. He took her on daily walks and gave her plenty of time to play and run in the yard. We will absolutely reach out to him again whenever we need someone to watch our dog! Highly recommend Gustavo!!”

“I can’t say enough about Amy and family and how well she cared for our pup while we were away. She was sure to familiarize herself with Junie’s commands, daily schedule and routine all to make sure she was comfortable without us. Communication was great with daily updates and pics, including things she knew I would be worried about (like how she slept the first night)! Junie was well loved and well taken care of while we were gone. We will definitely contact Amy again for any Rover needs in the future!”

“Debbie is awesome!!! I would highly recommend Debbie to anyone who wants to have their furbaby treated like they are at home. She was so accommodating and sent daily updates. It was the first time we had taken our dog to a sitter so I was understandably nervous. However, Debbie calmed any fears that I had and I know my dog had a great time! Debbie is wonderful!!”

“Jessica was amazing! It’s always nerve wracking when you have to leave your pup with a new sitter. Jessica went above and beyond while caring for my dog. She and her family helped my energetic 2 yr old golden get lots of energy out and gave her lots of love and attention. Jessica was also great at communicating and sent lots of pictures. We will definitely be booking with Jessica in the future!”

“Carolina watched our furbaby for 10 days while we were traveling overseas. She stayed in contact and sent daily photos of our sweet girl. This is my first time using Rover and I recommend her 1000%! We will definitely be using her again for any future trips.”

“Zadee is a lovely person and an excellent doggie host! Both of our pups were super relaxed and chill during their Thanksgiving stay with Zadee. They enjoyed having a nice fenced yard to play in and a cozy couch to sleep on. They can’t wait to come back!”

“Asia was so sweet and professional. When we first arrived Asia and her fur baby Crypto welcome us. Asia made my lil boy (Biskit) feel so at home. I asked Asia to send me text, pictures, and videos, and she did just that. That really made my heart fill of joy to see pictures and videos of my lil boy(Biskit) and to know that he was well taken care of. We thank you so much Asia from the bottom of our hearts 💕 Sylvia and Antwon Dudley.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Weldon Spring
Jamun had an amazing time with this family. They were so kind and considerate and knowing jamun he’s a very active dog but they asked so many questions just so they can properly help him with all his needs. And trust me mine is such an active dog but this family continuously sent me so many videos and photos to make me feel so much assured. I had to ask this family so last minute and they were completely good with the last minute change up.
Laurie took wonderful care of our two little dogs while we were away. They were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. She sent just the right amount of updates, which gave us peace of mind without feeling overwhelming. We wouldn't hesitate to have her watch our dogs again and highly recommend her!

Brianna was amazing with my girl! She provided excellent communication throughout the entire stay and sent photos two or three times a day, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that my girl was well cared for and loved while I was away. I highly recommend Brianna to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their pet!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
