“Jessica was amazing! It’s always nerve wracking when you have to leave your pup with a new sitter. Jessica went above and beyond while caring for my dog. She and her family helped my energetic 2 yr old golden get lots of energy out and gave her lots of love and attention. Jessica was also great at communicating and sent lots of pictures. We will definitely be booking with Jessica in the future!”

“Our Pomeranian, Riley, loved her 2 weeks at Camp Jennine and Berry! She was treated like a princess and a part of the family. We hope to visit again the next time we travel. She got lots of love and we got lots of photos. Win Win!”

“Lindsay is a rock star! We needed to book an overnight stay for our dog at the last minute and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. She sent great photos and updates so we knew that our boy was being taken care of in every way - cuddles, walks and all! I'd highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a great sitter.”

“I could not be happier with the whole experience with Debbie. She was so accommodating, she made Jenga feel at home, she sent photos and communicated with me the whole time we were gone, and I know Jenga was in good hands. I will absolutely use Debbie again.”

He kindly accommodated an extra day for us on short notice when we had to delay travel due to inclement weather. Would recommend! We will definitely use Brandon again in the future, Moto had a great time!"”

About: Hi! I am an extremely dog lover. I've had rescues for 13 years. I do have a dog 1.5yr old dog that loves other furry friends. My work is hybrid, so I can rearrange my days to be home if needed. Happy to care for your fur baby in my home, or if you prefer yours, I would need to be able to bring my dog along as well. Hybrid work schedule with a relatively flexible day to day. I am a homebody, so love just hanging out at the house teaching my dog new tricks. No kids in the home. My yard is unfenced, but easy to take short or long walks as needed. My dog is kenneled when I'm not home as well.
“I can’t say enough about Amy and family and how well she cared for our pup while we were away. She was sure to familiarize herself with Junie’s commands, daily schedule and routine all to make sure she was comfortable without us. Communication was great with daily updates and pics, including things she knew I would be worried about (like how she slept the first night)! Junie was well loved and well taken care of while we were gone. We will definitely contact Amy again for any Rover needs in the future!”

“Violet was so well cared for. She came home happy and tired. Sometimes Violet can be a temperamental eater so Yingfei sat with her and made her feel comfortable until she ate. So happy with her care. Thank you so much!!”

About: I have lived my whole life with dogs and I am currently a Dog Mom of 1. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes, including a summer job at a local dog + owner fitness facility and volunteering at stray rescue in STL. My pet is also a rescue, so I have experience working with dogs who need a little extra care and comfort. My main focus is to show your pet some extra love while they are patiently waiting for you to return, and to help you as a dog parent feel at peace, knowing your dog is being well taken care of. I work a full time job, but I do have the ability to work from home when needed and a flexible lunch break. I am mostly free between 7:00-8:30 AM or 6:00-9:00 PM M-F, but I am also available during lunch hours (11:00AM-2:00PM) and weekends upon request. It is important to me that I get to know both you and your pet! I want everyone to feel safe and sound during appointments. For first-time customers: I am available for phone or video calls prior to the booking date, as well as in person meet and greets (when scheduled in advance). Afterwards, we can discuss communication preferences during visits and, if requesting regular care, what days/times you would like to book in the future.
“Zadee did an awesome job boarding our 7-month old pup. It was our first time boarding and we needed help pretty last minute- Zadee put us at ease, was responsive and very patient with us as we were in scramble mode. She sent pics and kept us well informed. Would definitely request Zadee again and recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
