“Stacy was a wonderful caretaker for Ginny, who is a little nervous in new situations. I appreciated the many picture texts to keep me updated on Ginny's doggie vacay. Stacy is conveniently located near KCI, making pick up and drop off for human vacations / work trips a breeze. I will be recommending her to friends and colleagues.”

“Lindsay is a rock star! We needed to book an overnight stay for our dog at the last minute and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. She sent great photos and updates so we knew that our boy was being taken care of in every way - cuddles, walks and all! I'd highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a great sitter.”

“We recently left our two dogs with Tara while we were out of the country for 13 days, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Tara and her whole family cared for our pups as if they were their own—spoiling them with love, attention, and playtime. This was our very first time using Rover, and we were a little hesitant at first. However, Tara’s regular updates and adorable photos quickly put us at ease and reassured us that we had made the right decision. We came home to two very happy dogs, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care Tara provided. Highly recommend!”

“Elisa and her family took the best care of Baxter and I would highly recommend them to watch your puppies. We were nervous as we don't usually leave Baxter but Elisa ( and family & Norman) provided loving care. She sent updates and pictures, which we loved! The sweetest part of Baxter's stay was her sons drew pictures for Baxter! I can positively say, Baxter was a loved puppy! Thank you Elisa, Family, and Norman!”

About: I grew up in a house that was never short on animals of all kinds and have continued to surround myself with animals ever since. The first thing I did after moving into my own home was adopt a bonded pair of formerly stray/feral cats and that quickly snowballed into becoming the servant to 5 very loved and spoiled cats. Over the years I have cared for dogs and cats ranging from playful kittens to grumpy, medically complex senior dogs. I have experience administering oral medication, ear drops, eye drops, injections, and subcutaneous fluids. I work full time Monday-Thursday 8-5 but close enough to run home for a potty break if needed. I work half days on Fridays and occasional work on the weekends but only for a few hours at a time. I'm a homebody so most of my time outside of work is spent at home. To keep a (relatively) calm and relaxed atmosphere I will only have 1 set dogs at a time to cut down on the possibility of any negative interactions. I have a large but currently unfenced back yard. I like to walk dogs at least once a day (weather permitting) and potty breaks are done in the backyard, typically on a tie out so that they can explore a bit and find just the right spot. Dogs ARE NOT left unattended on a tie out for a myriad of safety reasons. I don't currently have a dog of my own but I do have 5 cats so any dogs will need to be cat friendly or at least cat apathetic. I have plenty of baby gates and rooms with doors so that your pets as well as mine can have their own calm space to wind down when needed.
“Wendy and Kurt are fantastic! They took good care of our boy. I’m forever grateful for how much they went out of their way to give our dog his medicine and care while he was recovering from a surgery that had to be scheduled a week before his visit.”

“Yingfei was wonderful with our two dogs. She met them ahead of time and asked great questions about what kind of care they needed. Both of my dogs take medication and Yingfei was willing to administer this. She sent pictures and videos daily and gave great updates. My dogs ate and slept well at her home and returned home happy. I had a great experience with Yingfei and will definitely use her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Alizée, a stay-at-home mom in St. Peters offering loving, personalized in-home dog care in a calm and safe family setting. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home most of the day, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, companionship, supervised playtime, and regular potty breaks—no long hours alone. At the very maximum and on special occasions, I may be gone a maximum of 2h a day. I share my home with two sweet senior female Chihuahuas, so caring for dogs is already part of my daily life. Their gentle presence helps create a calm, dog-friendly environment, and I’m very attentive to comfort, routines, and each dog’s individual needs. I also bring a healthcare background to my pet care: I worked for 6 years as a nursing assistant and phlebotomist, which means I’m comfortable and experienced with special care needs, including oral medications, injections/shots, and close monitoring for senior or medically sensitive pets. What your dog will enjoy here: 🐾 A safe fenced yard for outdoor play and potty breaks - no chemicals are used in our yard and we remove dog's waste every other day. 🌳 Daily walks and outings near our local park 🏡 A cozy home environment—never a kennel 📸 Daily photo and video updates ❤️ Plenty of affection, supervision, and personalized care I intentionally keep the number of dogs I host to one at the time (or multiple from the same family) so every guest gets the attention they deserve and feels safe and comfortable. I’m happy to care for small to medium dogs, including puppies who aren't fully potty trained yet, adults, and seniors, and I always recommend a meet-and-greet before the first stay to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone. Make sure your puppy is comfortable with other small dogs, and children. I’d love to welcome your pup into our home! Feel free to ask me any questions, I love what I do and I want my clients to know their puppy will be safe and properly cared for at my house. I am a stay at home mom, so I am available all day to care for your fur baby. Rarely away more than 2h at the time, your pup will have all the attention and playtime he needs. Our family wakes up early the morning, before 6.30am so if your puppy sleeps in a kennel, he will be out of it at sunrise. If the weather permits, we go for daily walks at the park and/or in the neighborhood. I adapt my days to your animal. So if your puppy needs more or less walk, more or less yard play, or any specific care, this is not a problem. My clients usually come with their feeding instructions and a feeding schedule for their puppy, and I will be applying all the rules they see fit for their animal. I like to keep your animal on the same routine as at your house to allow less stress on them. I have a fenced yard, two elderly female chihuahuas and a child at home. Dogs are never left unattended in the yard, I am always with them. I can easily crate your puppy if needed and I am familiar with the app FI that some of my clients already use. As a healthcare professional for several years, I am comfortable caring for older or sick animals. I provide daily pictures and videos to ease your stress while you are away. We do not use any chemicals in our yard and a very limited amount inside the house. Most of our space is cleaned using steam water. We also allow our own pets on the furnitures and your pup will receive the same privilege if this is in accordance with your own rules. We practice separate feeding time/station and separate sleeping area from our own dogs. Our house is equipped with cameras, inside and outside, allowing me to always have an eye on our animal if needed. During walks I do not allow contact with other dogs, and we stay on paved trails (no wooden areas or swamps) or neighborhood sidewalks. Unless it is an emergency, I do not take the liberty to transport my client's dog in the car. *exception will be made if you ask me to do so*
“Katie was the absolute best sitter for our new puppy! She communicated well with us before the week she watched her and answered all my questions. While on vacation she calmed all my fears by sending us updates with pictures. Our girl was super nervous at first but Katie recognized how to make her feel comfortable. By the end of her stay, she was running around with the others and playing! It was such a perfect match! Highly recommend!”

“Very happy with how Fergie supported us taking care of Kirill for many days. My best experience with boarding at Rover.com by far. She was very flexible, responsive and Kirill came back super happy. Definitely interested in working with Fergie again!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Tucker! He was happy and healthy when I picked him up. The updates and pictures while we were gone were so appreciated.”

“Jing D. Was awesome! Both my beagle and mini Aussie had so much fun! She took them out for walks everyday and sent us pictures daily! My and my girlfriend had peace of mind on our trip because both of our dogs were in good hands! Her dog seemed great and playful as well! We would definitely recommend her! If you are looking for someone reliable and good with dogs!”

“I think if my dog had a choice, he may have chosen to stay for good! He was happy and SO well taken care of. There was more than enough good communication and pictures to assure us he was having a blast and loving life which made our time away even more relaxing. We will definitely be using this sweet family for boarding again! 👏✨️”

About: I have lived my whole life with dogs and I am currently a Dog Mom of 1. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes, including a summer job at a local dog + owner fitness facility and volunteering at stray rescue in STL. My pet is also a rescue, so I have experience working with dogs who need a little extra care and comfort. My main focus is to show your pet some extra love while they are patiently waiting for you to return, and to help you as a dog parent feel at peace, knowing your dog is being well taken care of. I work a full time job, but I do have the ability to work from home when needed and a flexible lunch break. I am mostly free between 7:00-8:30 AM or 6:00-9:00 PM M-F, but I am also available during lunch hours (11:00AM-2:00PM) and weekends upon request. It is important to me that I get to know both you and your pet! I want everyone to feel safe and sound during appointments. For first-time customers: I am available for phone or video calls prior to the booking date, as well as in person meet and greets (when scheduled in advance). Afterwards, we can discuss communication preferences during visits and, if requesting regular care, what days/times you would like to book in the future.
“Camille was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Luna. I truly appreciated how flexible and accommodating she was throughout the entire experience. Initially, we had planned for dog boarding, but when that didn’t work out, Camille quickly adapted and switched to in-home visits. She even made an effort to try crate options beforehand, which showed how committed she was to finding the best solution for Luna. This was a last-minute booking, and Camille was incredibly understanding—even adjusting the dates just one day before the scheduled drop-off. Her flexibility really helped reduce a lot of stress. During her visits, she kept me updated by sending videos and clearly spent quality time playing with Luna. It was very reassuring to see how happy and well cared for Luna was in her hands. Overall, Camille went above and beyond, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible pet sitter.”

Amie was amazing!!! So loving and warm- and has great energy. Our little guy had some issues while we were gone (not her fault!!! He has Anxiety!) And she went WAY above and beyond to care for him- send us photos, and even took to the vet. I cannot think of anyone better!!! Simply amazing!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Evan and his family took amazing care of Deuce while we were away. Deuce is an older dog, so leaving him is never easy, but they made us feel completely at ease from the very beginning. We received constant pictures, updates, and reassurance about how well he was doing, which meant so much to us. It was obvious that Deuce was being treated like part of the family and getting lots of love and attention. We are so grateful for everything they did. We would absolutely trust Evan and his family with Deuce again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their pet. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our boy!

My dog had an excellent stay with Barbara. She made us feel at ease about leaving our dog with her for a weekand and sent us daily pictures and stories about how she was doing. I think my dog had more fun during her stay than we did on our vacation 🤣. We will definitely send our dog to Barbara for our next vacation.

Melissa is simply the best! She takes the best care of Bart and provides amazing updates and pics! She is attentive and caring! Wish I could give More than 5 stars! Bart gets along fantastically with her dog Abby! He comes home a happy (and somewhat worn out-yay) pup!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
