Pet care experience
I love dogs!
Hi! I am starting my 10th year of dog sitting through Rover in 2025. I love dogs, and started dog sitting after our last family pet crossed the rainbow. It has been a wonderful experience meeting so many great dogs and owners! It is my goal to provide a home-away-from-home atmosphere to ease the anxiety for both dogs and owners while away, by providing excellent care and attention to my 4-legged friends!

Ratings and reviews
Laurie took wonderful care of our two little dogs while we were away. They were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. She sent just the right amount of updates, which gave us peace of mind without feeling overwhelming. We wouldn't hesitate to have her watch our dogs again and highly recommend her!

We left or dog with Laurie when we went on a 2 week vacation. She made us feel 100% comfortable, kept us up to date on activities, and lived him like he was her own. Cannot say enough!!

Laurie is very friendly and made the whole process from the meet and greet to watching our girl very pleasant.

Laurie took wonderful care of my two pups, and sent pictures each day of their walks and snuggles. I definitely recommend having Laurie care for your pups!

Laurie was amazing! From offering up a meet and greet to the actual stay. She was very timely and sent me update messages and photos on an appropriate basis. This was my first time using Rover and she made it seamless. Oh and my pup was well cared for too 😀
We had a great experience with Laurie. She took excellent care of our dog while we were away and kept us updated including lots of photos throughout his stay. This was our dog's first time staying with a sitter and we would definitely use Laurie again!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I have a hybrid work schedule, with scheduling flexibility. Every effort is made to duplicate home routines as much as possible, such as potty break times/frequency, feeding times, etc.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Potty breaks are on leash; I walk them around my large yard. Additionally, on leash walks around the neighborhood are normally taken daily. Indoor playtime is part of the daily routine, as well as plenty of snuggles! There is one dog living in my home, and occasionally I host dogs from nearby family members living outside the home.
Pets
A typical day
Your dog will be a member of the family while in their home-away-from-home. I will try to follow the normal routines and make every effort to provide an anxiety-free, loving environment. Your dog will get plenty of playtime and snuggles. Potty breaks will be on a leash walking around our large yard. Neighborhood walks will be taken daily, dog willing and weather permitting. Your dog is also welcome on our big comfy couch for naps and cuddle time (unless furniture “off limits” has been communicated).

- What does a typical day for your dog normally look like in your home? I try to follow normal “routines” as closely as possible. Does your dog have any special needs, preferences, or restrictions? Get along with other dogs? A chewer? Potty-trained? Crate-trained? Crates not used unless part of your home routine. Owner normally brings crate in those instances to provide comfort in their own familiar space. Does your dog like to walk; typical distance/time/limitations? Flight risk? Allowed on furniture? Where do they normally sleep? Please share any details you think will increase comfort in their home-away- from-home. I will make every effort to accommodate.
