“Jessica was amazing! She took such great care of our two boys. We could see how excited they were to see her when she sent us the daily videos. We are so grateful to her and highly recommend her (except when we need her help) to everyone. Thank you J!”

“Sorry for the delay in getting this posted but I wanted to thank you again for taking such great care of my cats! It is so nice to know that you can be relied on to take care of them so well and it is one less thing I have to worry with when I am gone. Thanks again and I will reach out next time I go away!!!”
“Alli is excellent!!! Alli worked with us for 5 days straight, two times per day. She was on time 100% of the time and was excellent with our puppies. She took them for long walks and always asked if there was more she could do. Alli is very kind and easy to work with. She is also a good communicator. I highly recommend Alli and we will definitely have her back (often!)”
About: I’ve lived with my dogs for around 10 years. I take them for walks, feed them when my family needs some help. I have a big dog and a medium sized dog! I don’t have any professional experience but I take care of my dogs often. :) I’m a student at Mizzou, so I will typically be busy until 3pm when I’m in Columbia. When I’m back home in Ballwin over breaks, I should typically be free at all times. I can’t have pets in my home, but in others home I am able to give walks, play with animals, and do anything that’s needed! I love taking care of animals and I’m super careful with them.

“Cammie was super sweet to my little dogs which made me feel better leaving them at home!! I felt totally comfortable with her in the house! Would highly recommend her!”

“We have developed a wonderful relationship with Beth. She loves our pets as we do. They love seeing her and she takes great photos of their shenanigans together. Trust her with their care.”

“Thank you for AGAIN taking great care of our big guy Skye. He obviously enjoys his visits and I appreciate the detailed communication. My sons always ask if we have new pictures from Skye’s visits while we are away. And they said “he loves Alicia.” Thanks. 🩶”

About: I have been taking care of dogs of any kind ever since I can remember! I have been working at a local daycare and boarding facility for two years, and have been taking care of neighbor and family dogs for my whole life, I promise to give you an above and beyond experience! ❤️ I work part time at a local daycare and boarding facility, so I have plenty of time on my hands! I am home from college for the summer, so I am willing to spend as much time as possible with your pet! I have a sweet elderly dog named Olive to keep your pet company! And most importantly, I have a large yard to keep your dog active and on their feet!

“John was absolutely wonderful and would recommend him highly. My crew can get a little loud, but it was not a problem for John. He sent pictures, let me know when he would be there, and was a fantastic companion while we were away.”

About: I am an animal lover at heart. It’s been my job to care for my neighbors and clients pets well being for years now. Pets are family and I’ll treat them as my own. I work part time from home so my schedule is flexible! I am available weekends, early mornings, late at night, etc. When I’m not working, I stay at home with my 20 month year old son who I’ve also now turned into a huge animal lover. My house is small and one of my dogs is very selective so I’d prefer to keep your furbaby at their home. I can stay over or visit multiple times a day- whatever works best for you.
“Ashley did an amazing job taking care of my dogs! She was extremely prompt, communicated amazingly, and gave my dogs lots of love. We would LOVE to use her again in the future. She is great!”

About: Growing up I always had a dog! I was taught how to care for them at a very young age. I grew up with a few different size dogs. I am most familiar with medium and small dogs, however I have worked with large ones. I know a little bit about training and grooming but I am still working on perfecting those skills. I currently work full time, however I have plenty of time before and after work to help care for your pets!! A typical weekday shift is 9-6 or 11-8. I work rotating weekends and Sundays are 10-7. I also have an hour break and I am willing to stop by to check in/let them out. I currently live in an apartment, it has a dog park and plenty of places for walks. I do not have any pets so that would not be an issue. Growing up I perfected the art of not letting animals out the door and making sure they are properly leashed for outings.
About: New to Rover but not new to dogs and cats! I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, growing up with both cats and dogs and caring for them as part of the family. I currently share my home with two cats, a Black Lab, and a German Shepherd. I have experience with reactive dogs, high energy dogs and large breeds. I love spending time outdoors and especially enjoy hiking with dogs and exploring nature together. I can provide a pet taxi service to vet appointments, chiropractors or groomers. I am available for dog walks, drop-ins and also administering medication. I can also incorporate any type of training you are currently working on into drop-ins and walks. If you need someone dependable who will show up rain or shine, keep you updated with photos, and love your pet like family, I’d love to help. I look forward to connecting with your pets! I homeschool my 4 children and as they are getting older, I am finding more pockets of time in my schedule. Every day is a little different for us so I am flexible and have availability at different times throughout the day. I can carefully follow instructions based on your pet’s individual needs. I have a peaceful energy and really try to pay attention to their body language and what they are trying to tell me through that. I am very active and can walk long distances.
“We left our cat for over 2 weeks, and since we’ve only had her for a few months, we were nervous about how she would adjust. They visited her twice a day to feed and give her attention. They sent photos and detailed updates every visit on her eating and behavior. They really put us at ease - we will absolutely book them again in the future!”

Elizabeth did a great job for us! She was a good communicator, showed up everyday and on time, and most importantly was very caring and concerned for the well being of our elderly cat who gets sad, lonely, and stressed when we're away. She took excellent care of the house too, cleaning up the unexpected cat messes, and bringing in mail and packages. Thanks Elizabeth!

Do not hesitate to schedule Angela to care for your pet while away from home. Rover was highly suggested when I needed help w my cat while away for the holidays. Normally I can rely on others, however, a daily dose of oral medicine was required; I felt better knowing Angela was responsible to make sure it was given each day. Glad I met Angela, she will be my first choice next time.

Faith, Thank you for taking care of Beatrice again. I know she is in good hands with you, and that you take good care of her. With her diabetes, she needs insulin shots, and also needs your knowledge and experience with animals who need special attention. Thank you so much. I appreciate your support and dedication to animals. Patti H

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grover. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
