“Elizabeth came and took care of our 2 pups letting them out for potty breaks and play time. Happy to have her around we didn’t have to worry when we couldn’t be there.”

“Carolina did awesome! She was so great in her messages and one can tell that she 100% loves animals. She was very caring and very great all the days she had my doggie. I’d highly recommend her and hope to work with her again! My doggie was very happy during the time she had Caroline. : )”

“It was a pleasure to have had Jessica look after after my cat when I was not in town. She would provide regular and comprehensive updates on my cat. My cat seemed well taken care of and content when I came back. :)”

“Patricia does a great job with our dogs. Loves on them and takes great care of them. She is always prompt in responses and on time for visits. I highly recommend her!”

“Tiffany was wonderful with our two dogs and cat and gave great reports and photos. We will absolutely be using her in the future for more drop in visits when we’re out of town!”

About: I’ve lived with my dogs for around 10 years. I take them for walks, feed them when my family needs some help. I have a big dog and a medium sized dog! I don’t have any professional experience but I take care of my dogs often. :) I’m a student at Mizzou, so I will typically be busy until 3pm when I’m in Columbia. When I’m back home in Ballwin over breaks, I should typically be free at all times. I can’t have pets in my home, but in others home I am able to give walks, play with animals, and do anything that’s needed! I love taking care of animals and I’m super careful with them.
“Cindy was very good with our elderly dogs. One of them has high needs, including diapering due to frequent accidents. She understood their limitations due to their age and took the younger one for a walk and left the older one home when needed. She took her time in her visits and sent us the most adorable pictures. We had a minor miscommunication about timing at the beginning of our vacation, but once that was sorted out we had a wonderful experience. We recommend Cindy to care for your pets, she will love them like her own.”

“I’d give Ashley 10 stars if I could! This is the third or fourth time she has cared for our kitties while we were out of town. Our girls love her and she always sends pictures and a message with each visit for us high-stress per parents! Ashley is the best!”

“John was absolutely wonderful and would recommend him highly. My crew can get a little loud, but it was not a problem for John. He sent pictures, let me know when he would be there, and was a fantastic companion while we were away.”

“Cammie was super sweet to my little dogs which made me feel better leaving them at home!! I felt totally comfortable with her in the house! Would highly recommend her!”

About: I have experience with many different breeds and temperaments, ranging from puppies to senior dogs, friendly dogs and aggressive dogs. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I owned, cared for, and trained a German Shepherd. I currently own 2 Australian Shepherds, one whom I trained myself. I am very flexible this summer so I can take last minute bookings. I can do any time of day. My weekends are available also for walking, check-ins, or boarding! 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation they need during the day. • 30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away. • My Basic House-Sitting service includes staying overnight with your pup so they have company and comfort in their own home, along with daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime, and cuddles. I am able to take your dog on walks/runs or play with them inside the house. I can take them outside to the bathroom, feed them, whatever your dog needs!
About: As a performer who travels the world by sea, I know how comforting the love of an animal can be and while I’m away I miss that connection so much! I have loved, snuggled, and pet animals around the world and while I’m back on land I would love the opportunity to give your pets the same attention! I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew up in a home full of furry friends. My parents volunteer with Duo Dogs, so our house has always been a revolving door of puppies and big dogs alike. Two of our English Labs are especially sensitive to fireworks and thunderstorms, so I’m no stranger to calming anxious pups with patience, love, and a gentle hand. Whether it’s a walk around the block, a game of fetch, some cozy snuggle time, or maybe it’s your turn to get out and see the world, I’m here to keep your pets happy and cared for while you’re away. My schedule is wide open during my time home-so don’t hesitate to reach out and let’s set something up! Since I am taking a land break, my schedule is very open! I enjoy my time at the gym, but other than that I don’t have many routine commitments. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I offer care in your home where your pet feels most secure and relaxed. I always follow your instructions closely, respect your space, and treat your home with care. You can trust that your pet will be loved, safe, and well looked after while you’re away.
About: I am an animal lover at heart. It’s been my job to care for my neighbors and clients pets well being for years now. Pets are family and I’ll treat them as my own. I work part time from home so my schedule is flexible! I am available weekends, early mornings, late at night, etc. When I’m not working, I stay at home with my 20 month year old son who I’ve also now turned into a huge animal lover. My house is small and one of my dogs is very selective so I’d prefer to keep your furbaby at their home. I can stay over or visit multiple times a day- whatever works best for you.
About: I have been taking care of dogs of any kind ever since I can remember! I have been working at a local daycare and boarding facility for two years, and have been taking care of neighbor and family dogs for my whole life, I promise to give you an above and beyond experience! ❤️ I work part time at a local daycare and boarding facility, so I have plenty of time on my hands! I am home from college for the summer, so I am willing to spend as much time as possible with your pet! I have a sweet elderly dog named Olive to keep your pet company! And most importantly, I have a large yard to keep your dog active and on their feet!
“Beth was wonderful with my senior cat-and with senior me as I worried from a distance. She was reliable, loving and willing to give meds twice a day. Thanks Beth for allowing me to visit my grandchildren!! Bless you!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grover
Kayleigh took such great care of my dog during her drop-in visits. She was incredibly flexible with my scheduling requests which made everything so much easier. I could tell my dog really enjoyed spending time with her and looked forward to seeing her. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in caring and reliable hands!

Caroline is amazing! She dropped in to check on our dogs (age 7 and 15) a few times this weekend while we were out of town and she took such great care of them. She is kind, communicates well and sent lots of pictures! We will be using her dog sitting services again!

Elizabeth did a great job for us! She was a good communicator, showed up everyday and on time, and most importantly was very caring and concerned for the well being of our elderly cat who gets sad, lonely, and stressed when we're away. She took excellent care of the house too, cleaning up the unexpected cat messes, and bringing in mail and packages. Thanks Elizabeth!

Do not hesitate to schedule Angela to care for your pet while away from home. Rover was highly suggested when I needed help w my cat while away for the holidays. Normally I can rely on others, however, a daily dose of oral medicine was required; I felt better knowing Angela was responsible to make sure it was given each day. Glad I met Angela, she will be my first choice next time.

Gloria was absolutely wonderful while I was away. She was punctual, reliable, and communicated clearly throughout my entire trip. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos, it gave me total peace of mind knowing my dogs were happy and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Gloria again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring dog walker.

Faith, Thank you for taking care of Beatrice again. I know she is in good hands with you, and that you take good care of her. With her diabetes, she needs insulin shots, and also needs your knowledge and experience with animals who need special attention. Thank you so much. I appreciate your support and dedication to animals. Patti H

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
