“Liana was great as usual. She takes great care of our cats when we need her. There was a slight hiccup getting into the home while we were gone, but she was in constant communication with us and made sure that she could take care of our kitties! We will absolutely have her care for them again and would highly recommend her to others! Thank you so much Liana!!!!”

About: Hi there! I’m Katherine, and I’d love to care for your pets like they’re my own! With over 9 years of pet care experience, I bring a calm, confident, and compassionate approach to every animal I meet. I’ve worked at one of Missouri’s top veterinary hospitals in their boarding and daycare department, giving me hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, but I have an extra soft spot for senior pets. I understand the patience, gentleness, and attention to detail they often require, and I’m honored to give them the care and comfort they deserve. I’m comfortable administering medications, following specific routines, and caring for pets with special needs. I’m available evenings and weekends and will always keep you updated with messages and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away. Whether your furry friend needs a walk, playtime, or some quiet company, I’m here to help. Let’s give your pet the love and care they deserve—because they’re family! I’m available for pet sitting and dog walking in the evenings and on weekends. Whether you need a weekday check-in after work or weekend care while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! When taking care of your pet in your home I make sure to follow the instructions you give me to make sure your pets routine is not thrown off. I also treat your pet like they are my own.
“I am very grateful to Damica for helping out with my Papi Chulo for 4 days on such a short notice. Also did an amazing job on communication and keeping me updated on all events, I would definitely work with her again 👍🏾”

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and love everything about them! I’ve cared for kittens, adults, seniors, and multiple pet households. I have experience with post-op care, cat introductions, and indoor/outdoor cats. I also have experience taking care of young and senior dogs, including administering medication and interacting with cats. Housesitting - I can’t be there 24 hours a day because I have my own pets, but we can discuss how much I need to be away. I work full time from home, mostly available evenings and weekends, daytime if my schedule allows. I’m a night owl so late night visits are okay! I go at your pet’s pace and provide a safe, loving environment so they gain my trust. I go by their usual routine/ habits as not disrupt their routine.
About: I have two dogs in my own and have taken care of numerous different breeds in my neighborhood, along with family and friends. I enjoy taking walks and enjoy spending time with all types of dogs I am currently unemployed for the past 20 years I’ve been raising my kids. Looking for a job! I have a very flexible schedule. I love spending my time with dogs. Make sure they are happy and loved. Feed and make sure they get enough food, water and affection. Most of all exercise love and safety

About: I have hundreds of services completed with excellent reviews on another platform and am taking my skills and experience to this one. I've always had dogs and always connected with animals, and friends and family have recognized that affinity and felt comfortable and trusting their fur babies to my care over the years. I've worked with shy dogs, anxious dogs, aging dogs, dogs with high medical needs, puppies, power breed dogs, tiny dogs, and pretty much any other kind you can imagine. I'm looking forward to giving your pet the same high level of care! I have a flexible schedule that I control, so I have a lot of availability to help you care for your pets. I don't even mind the early morning or late evening walks! I have many regular clients, and they tend to pick me when they need someone reliable (to care for their pets when they're away, to show up on time for a 6am walk before an important procedure, to care for a dog who needs extra patience or care for medical needs, etc.). I was a store assistant manager for 15 years, so I know how to keep calm in emergency situations and understand the responsibility of having people who are relying on me. I also have a musical background, so I'll probably end up singing to your animals like a Disney princess at some point.

About: I've lived with dogs my entire life and have never met a dog I can't connect with. I love dogs of all sizes and behaviors; I have experience counseling groups of kids at summer camp, so I have no trouble managing dogs in a group or with rowdy tendencies. I truly love all dogs and would love to meet yours! I am currently working part-time in St. Louis on the weekends, so I am available weekdays at any time. I have access to a car and the ability to be flexible with timing and distance as well, just contact me! I can work with any number and any kind of dog! I grew up with a couple dogs of different sizes and I currently live with 2 little ones, so I am comfortable handling any canine situation! This means I am more than happy to take on any responsibility/task requested, such as administering medication, engaging in frequent or constant activity, intently monitoring an animal for an extended period of time, etc. beyond, of course, walking & relieving your best friend(s)! I will always provide dilligent and careful care of both your pets and your home.
“This is the second time we have used Amber and we couldn’t be more pleased with the attention and care she gives to our pup. She goes above and beyond every time. We will continue to use Amber!”

About: I have been taking care of and training dogs my whole life. Over 30 years. I am known for having the best dogs on the block. My military friends have depended on me to watch their babies thru deployments of six months and longer in my home. I work full time, but I have a set schedule. This makes planning much easier. There is a moderate amount of flexibility to it. It makes it easy to take care of the sweetest member of the family. I live in an apartment but my complex has a fenced dog park at the building. Also there are parks around that are great for walking. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I work 7:30a-4:30p. However, I do work 10 minutes from home and my boyfriend is usually home around 3:00p. He helps me when I need it. I follow the routines of the pets at home. I walk dogs 3 times a day in the park next to my home. I do have crates of varying sizes to use if the dog is used to that at home.
“Zadee was great with our cat who requires insulin. We booked fairly late and she was available immediately to meet with Batman. She was great about updates and super flexible. Highly recommended!”

About: I used to pet-sit. Worked at a day-care a while ago. I've worked and interacted with all types of dogs. I enjoy what I do. I actually get really excited when working with dogs. I know they're a lot to handle sometimes but I feel like they're great fun to work with and they always make me feel better. My favorite types of dogs include Boxers, Miniature Schnauzers, Miniature Pinschers. I like all dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am really into playing fetch with dogs. I also don't mind playing with rope toys. They might tear my arms off but hey! It builds character! I'm very easy-going and I feel like with dogs you have to have a great sense of humor and enjoy the trade in order to work with them. I hope you consider me for some of your services. I look forward to chatting with you over the phone, internet, or in person! Also, I have a sweet little Mitten cat (her name is Mittens). She's a blue tortoise cat with these little white Mitten paws. My father has a black Maltese poodle named Beau... The sweetest dog in the world. I used to live with him and we were the best of friends. We still are. But we just don't see each other as much. That's who you see me with in my photos. I have pretty much open availability. I am comfortable doing overnight visits and morning/afternoon/evening walks. I'm currently in the process of trying to build clientele so I'm more flexible now than I might be in the future. But my long-term goal is to make this a full time 8 hour day. The 8-hour schedule block will entirely depend upon demand though. Whether it's broken up into different times of the day with a break in between or a full 8 hours non-stop, entirely depends upon when clients need availability. The number one most important thing about pet care is communication though. Between the owner and me. The sooner we know things, the better. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I currently provide care exclusively in my clients' homes because I believe most pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. Staying in their home helps keep their routine consistent, reduces stress, and allows me to focus entirely on giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. Whenever possible, I love to schedule a meet-and-greet before the booking begins. It's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, for your pet to become comfortable with me, and for me to learn about their personality, routines, favorite activities, quirks, medications, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. I firmly believe that in pet care, overcommunicating is always better than undercommunicating. I'd much rather ask one extra question than make an assumption, and you can expect prompt responses, regular photo and video updates, and complete transparency throughout your time away. While I would be comfortable offering boarding in the future, I currently choose not to because I share my home with a beloved cat. My decision isn't out of concern for her behavior—it's simply because I don't want to bring unfamiliar dogs into her space. By focusing exclusively on house sitting, I can give your pets individualized care in the environment where they feel safest and most at ease, while ensuring every animal in my care is comfortable, secure, and happy.
About: I love all animals. If you need a caregiver for your friend I'm the one. I'm opened to days/nights weekend and holidays. Will travel too. I currently only work one day a week outside my home, the rest I work from home I would love a friend to hang out with, or take a break with. I will provide a loving fun time for your pet. My dog died two years ago and I really miss having a pet to love. I'm also available for plant care I can work with your schedule if needed. I also do drop bys, too. I love getting out, walking, and playing with doggies, cat, and any pet. I have a new fence and it has a access with no steps for my older doggies. There is also ramps for those shorter dogs. We have lots of love and would to share it with your dogs.
About: I have had a dog my entire life growing up. My parents relied on me to take care of my childhood dog and I learned so much just by doing that. I am now 30 and got my own puppy about four years ago. I lover her so much! I give her biweekly baths, daily walks and hourly playtime! Whether it is a walk, daycare or overnight stay, you can trust me to love and care for your pup! I am a teacher so I have the summers off to take care of your dog! I like to wake up early and take my own dog on a walk to start my day. I have a very free and flexible schedule! I have a fenced in yard and mini Bernedoodle who loves all dogs! I am very responsible and my house and yard are extremely dog friendly.
About: I have grown up with dogs and cats and for a period of my childhood even lived on a horse ranch! I have a medical background and am a personable and trustworthy person to care for your pet. I am a full time nurse so I only work three days a week, however I don’t have a regular schedule. Regardless, I have four days out of the week free and would love to fill that time caring for and loving your pet. I am trustworthy and can be relied on to care for your pet with safety in mind first, I will be consistent with your house rules for your pet and will treat them as my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sherman
Tiffiny is such a kind person as well as her daughter. You can tell she loves animals and will care for your babies as she would care for her own. Most importantly she uses the Rover app and communicates effectively leaving notes and confirmation with every visit. She validates that your animals are well, eating drinking and in our case using the litter box appropriately. She went above and beyond and vacuumed around their litter box. Thank you so much for caring for our kitties. Love the Gunters and especially from Mac, Cheeto, and Biscuit!

Lori was amazing! We are visiting from Indiana for a month and we needed a sitter for our blind dog. Lori came to meet us and was so sweet. If our dog could talk, I’m sure he would say how much he enjoyed Lori sitting with him. Thank you, Lori! You are the sweetest!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
