“Emma was great with my boys! They really enjoyed her company, and the snuggles. They were well taken care of and it was very nice to not have to worry about them. Thank you for a great experience!”

About: Through my life I have experienced taking care of family pets, from the puppy stage to crossing the rainbow bridge. I often think I love animals more than people. I am currently working from home part time with flexible hours, so I can play with and cuddle your fur babies as much as they want. I can board, pet sit or just walk your dog weekdays or weekends day or night. I have a fenced in yard with one senior dog. I can crate a dog up to 40lbs. We can go for walks if desired.
“Callie was amazing with our old girl Bella and her new sibling Otis. Multiple visits through the week went very well and she kept us abreast of the activity we might have missed. Will definitely be rebooking with Callie!”
“Patricia does a great job with our dogs. Loves on them and takes great care of them. She is always prompt in responses and on time for visits. I highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth came and took care of our 2 pups letting them out for potty breaks and play time. Happy to have her around we didn’t have to worry when we couldn’t be there.”

“Alli was everything I hoped for in a petsitter. I felt comfortable leaving my three big dogs in her care. She was on time with her visits and did everything I requested. I will be asking for her help again in a month or two.”

About: Ive been an emergency vet tech and helping hand for 6+ years. Ive had animals my entire life & adore them so much I made a living off keeping them safe & healthy. Your loved ones will be loved in my home & heart. I work long hours but that means I have more days off to help you out. 3 days out if the week i have off & can accommodate your oets here in my home or stop by your house for potty breaks/walks. My yard is fenced in, my animals are very friendly, my teenage son loves animals & hopes to follow in mom's footsteps in vet med.
About: I grew up in a dog-family so I've been taking care of dogs since I could walk. I regularly dog (and cat) sit for family and friends from college and church. I'm currently working part-time so my schedule is very flexible excluding Monday & Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Down for morning/midday/evening walks and feeding or overnight stays. I like to do a Meet & Greet with all my clients well before my care-taking in order to properly care for your furry friend. I cannot currently board/crate dogs in my home but am able to offer walking, feeding, and overnights.

“Natalie was an excellent cat sitter. Her information and pictures each day were helpful and informative .Natalie did exactly what my cat,Sasha, needed. Natalie is a pleasant, positive and knowledgeable person to work with and Sasha did very well with her in charge. I very much appreciate the help she gave my cat. Helene Sherman”

“Jessica was amazing! She took such great care of our two boys. We could see how excited they were to see her when she sent us the daily videos. We are so grateful to her and highly recommend her (except when we need her help) to everyone. Thank you J!”

“Amy is an outstanding person and pet sitter. My puppy is so happy to have her come by for her visits. She is timely with communication, pleasant, and she takes exceptional care of my pet. I really appreciated her flexibility and attention to detail.”

“Thank you for AGAIN taking great care of our big guy Skye. He obviously enjoys his visits and I appreciate the detailed communication. My sons always ask if we have new pictures from Skye’s visits while we are away. And they said “he loves Alicia.” Thanks. 🩶”

“Danny and Jennifer were absolutely amazing with our pups for a really extended (two weeks!!) period of time. They came on time every day, twice a day, and saw to their basic needs, of course—food, water, love, play. But they also picked up after them, straightened the house, took the trash to the curb, kept the pups safe in the dorms, did troubleshooting on an AirTag collar, brought packages inside, gave great Rover cards, and clearly just CARED!!! They were great communicators and went WAY above and beyond in pretty much every possible way. Unsurprisingly, our pups love them! I will do everything I can to work with them again for future vacations!!”

“Cammie was super sweet to my little dogs which made me feel better leaving them at home!! I felt totally comfortable with her in the house! Would highly recommend her!”

About: As a pet owner and lover, I approach pet care and handling with a Fear Free mentality! I am always listening to your pet (through body language and other animal behavioral cues) to make sure they are comfortable and happy during their stay with us! With my experience in pet care and dog sitting, I am able to make any adjustments needed to help your pet have a stress-free stay away from home! Being self-employed, I am home for the majority of every day, all day, allowing me to provide quality time with your pup! This includes adhering to a strict potty schedule or snuggling those who may have separation anxiety. Being at home also allows me to get to know your pet better as well as keep it mentally engaged and stimulated throughout the day. My home is the perfect place for almost any pup! Outside I have a six-foot-high wood fenced in the back yard, in a low traffic, quiet neighborhood. Inside we have multiple areas for pups to feel at home, including large beds, dog-friendly furniture, and steps for dogs who may need it. I also have sectioned of spaces (with secure baby gates) for eating or alone time (if needed). Your pup can join Casey and I on our daily walk (small, medium or large routes) and additional walks can be added if that fits into your pet's routine. I am self-employed so my week is centered around your pets needs and preferences! I have the flexibility to help stick to a strick schedule or care for an anxious pet! I treat your pet as they are my own. They are the center of attention! Their safety, needs, wants and preferences are top priority. In my home, pets are accomodated to in whatever way needed.
“Absolutely amazing, we have two dogs and one is a rescue who is very nervous around some people but is a great judge of character! He adored Amy and she sent us update pics of our puppies and met my fiancé and the dogs the day before and was absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend her 10/10 ☺️☺️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ballwin
Cleo was fantastic with Lumi! She was reliable, communicative and sent us great updates and plenty of photos after every visit. She made sure Lumi got her walks and potty breaks, had fresh water and food, and spent extra time playing with her and giving her some attention and cuddles. It gave us a lot of peace of mind being away knowing Lumi was comfortable and well cared for. Cleo clearly took the time to actually engage with her rather than just stopping by to check the boxes. We would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Ashley was great!! I got pictures & a report card every check-in. She was very attuned to my senior kitty. She is on some medication that can come with side effects and Ashley made sure to let me know what she was noticing! Definitely will hire again. She has a great attitude & even watered my plant while I was away! Thank you so much, Ashley!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
