The dogs hang out with us theoughout the day and when we are outside we have a lead for them to join us.
“Carolina did awesome! She was so great in her messages and one can tell that she 100% loves animals. She was very caring and very great all the days she had my doggie. I’d highly recommend her and hope to work with her again! My doggie was very happy during the time she had Caroline. : )”

“Alexandria took great care of our kitties while we were out of town! We have some finicky eaters and one who needs meds, and she didn’t have any issues with them. She was also kind enough to take our garbage cans from the curb and get the mail. I would highly recommend her!!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog and cat lover with experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I currently have both dogs and cats, so I’m very comfortable with multi-pet households and different temperaments. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule for dependable walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m calm, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I always follow your pet’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable. You can expect consistent communication and photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family in West County! I work from home, which means I get plenty of breaks for dog walks, potty breaks, and cuddle visits throughout the day. I’m usually available mornings, midday, and early evenings on weekdays, plus weekends with a little notice. I love building routines with pets (and becoming part of their daily favorite-human rotation). I always follow your instructions closely so your pet can stick to their normal routine and feel comfortable. I treat your home with respect and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure at all times. On walks, I stay aware of surroundings and keep things safe and calm. I use secure leashes/harnesses and adjust the walk based on your pet’s energy and needs—whether that’s a relaxed sniff-around or a more active walk. And of course, there’s plenty of love, attention, and reassurance built in. I’m also happy to clean up after pets as needed so everything stays tidy and stress-free. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease while you’re away.
“This was our first booking with Rebecca for daily drop-in visits with Susie the cat. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! She bonded with Susie right away, is an excellent communicator, left my house super clean, and went above and beyond offering to blow storm debris off the driveway. Highly recommend. We will be booking again. ;-)”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve dog sat for family, friends, and neighbors. “Blanca was an amazing caregiver to our two dogs while we were in Hawaii. She kept us updated with pictures and videos of them playing, chasing the ball, enjoying pets and scratches. We would definitely recommend Blanca and will 100% use her in the future!”

About: I have experience from working at Kennelwood for 2 years and volunteering at the Humane Society. I've always cared and loved for animals and connected to them deeply. I am a college student so most of my freetime is in the afternoons and on weekends. Please understand if I need to study or do homework! I will respect any boundaries you put in your own home. I would be happy to play with your furry friends and make them feel loved even when their owners are gone.

About: I’ve grown up around pets and taken care of dogs, cats, and rabbits. I’m currently in college and don’t have a part time job, so my schedule is mostly free. I am currently working part-time as a babysitter, and I go to university in the fall and spring, keeping me close to the area at all times. My schedule is very open, so I will be able to spend adequate time playing with and giving attention to your pet! I treat all animals with love and respect, just as I would treat my own. I am flexible, being able to provide care for your pet and open communication for you!

About: I have always loved pets since I was a child and always had a strong passion for providing comfort and care for animals of all kinds. I am currently in school during the weekdays but I have plenty of time to play with your pets during weekends! I am also available to board your pets from 2-10 pm on a weekday if needed. About: I’m a lifelong cat lover with 12+ years of hands-on experience caring for my own cat, who recently passed away after a wonderful life. While I’m not ready to adopt yet, I’d love to care for yours. I’ve fostered a shelter cat, cared for a friend’s cat for about a year during COVID, and have cat-sat for friends many times. I also have some experience with dogs through friends—walking them together, spending time at dog parks, and playing with them at home. I’m comfortable around dogs of different sizes and personalities. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Depending on your pet’s needs, I can easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine and ensure your cat receives consistent attention, companionship, and care. I live in a house with a calm, cat-friendly environment and understand that every cat has its own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat enjoys playtime and attention or prefers a quiet, predictable space, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay.
“Susan took such great care of my little fur baby while I was away for the holidays. She kept me updated with her visits and I knew my little Kiwi was in a great, loving hands while I was gone. I highly recommend Susan if you want someone who truly loves dogs and who'll care for them like they're her own. I will be using Susan to car for my fur baby whenever I need to travel.”
About: I love all animals all the time, and currently have one pit mix of my own. I’ve been taking care of children, pets, and plants my entire life, and truly enjoy it. I’ll love your pets like they’re my own! I recently moved back to town, and now returned to Rover as a side gig, so I have no recent reviews. I have a very flexible schedule, I’ll work with you! My dog (Bobo) is very high energy, so I’m used to finding ways to keep a dog’s mind stimulated with games and training, and giving plenty of outside/exercise time. I will adapt to whatever each individual pet needs though, including caring for senior or less energetic animals.
“Kate did a wonderful job taking care of our two kitties. She was easy to communicate with, arrived on time and followed the instructions that I provided. I have marked her as one of my favorites in Rover.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ballwin
We had a wonderful experience with Cynthia. She was friendly, attentive, and took great care of our dog while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay, and she kept us updated, which gave us peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog and made sure all of her needs were met. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

It is so so clear that Beth loves our fuzzy babies—and they love her right back!!! She is a wonderful communicator and gentle as can be, playing with our two VERY high-energy spaniels. When we come home after they’ve been with her, they’re relaxed and totally unstressed. Thank you!!!

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ballwin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Ballwin with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
