Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best experience. Lawton was scheduled to start on Friday at noon. At 5 pm, I received a message that she went on a float trip and lost her phone, which had the codes for entering my house. I left my home that morning at 7 am, which meant my dog was in the house alone for over 10 hours. Needless to say, the dog had soiled my carpet. I realize accidents happen, but I’m not sure how she expected to be at my house by noon if she was on a float trip. Definitely poor planning on her part. Also on Saturday, Lawton had a family emergency that evening, which I realize she could not help, but it added to more time for the dog alone in my house with fireworks going off outside. In summary, Lawton’s poor planning and unexpected circumstances led to my dog home alone a lot and a stained rug. Not an ideal experience.

Lawton took wonderful care of our dogs and our home while we were away for more than two weeks. From the very beginning, she was thoughtful, attentive, and communicative, sending us daily updates that gave us great peace of mind. One of our dogs is extremely shy and takes a long time to warm up to new people, but Lawton was incredibly patient and gentle with her. She clearly put in the extra effort to build trust and help her feel comfortable, which meant a lot to us. She also made sure both dogs got plenty of exercise through long walks and kept them engaged and stimulated throughout our trip. We are so grateful for the care she provided and would happily trust her with our pets again. Thank you, Lawton!

We highly recommend Lawton. She was great with our almost-human :) family member! We received daily updates and photos from her stay with our dog. Moreover, Lawton went beyond just keeping an eye on him and our home - she watered our vegetable garden and set up wire fencing to protect it from the neighborhood squirrels and bunnies without any of this had been specifically asked by us. Thank you, Lawton - you are hired again :)

Lawton did a fantastic job watching our dogs. They were happy when we returned and well taken care of. She took them on numerous walks/hikes, played fetch in the yard, and gave our elderly dog extra attention. She took great care of our home as well. She sent daily updates as well Would highly recommend her and plan to use her again

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I'm currently working part-time so my schedule is very flexible excluding Monday & Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Down for morning/midday/evening walks and feeding or overnight stays.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I like to do a Meet & Greet with all my clients well before my care-taking in order to properly care for your furry friend. I cannot currently board/crate dogs in my home but am able to offer walking, feeding, and overnights.

A typical day

I love to keep dogs stimulated by playing fetch or tug-of-war, going to watch the ducks at the park, or by switching up the walking route followed up by lots of chin scratches and kisses. I also did track in college so lets me know if your dog wants to run.

Please let me know of any special needs or preferences your pet has. I have experience administering oral, topical, and injectable medication. I'm stronger than I look and can handle dogs up to at least 70 lbs with ease. For walking, I aim for an average of ~1 mile/walk based on the feedback your dog gives me (energy, interest, temperature). If your dog needs more distance (or prefers to run instead of walk) just let me know.
