“My first time using Rover and very pleased! Jessica was very attentive to our dog and from the pictures she sent, he seemed to settle in nicely at her house and with her dog. I would recommend her in a heart beat and plan to use her again in the future. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby.”

“Misty was the first person I left my pup with outside of my family and I was so nervous! Misty was so kind and sent me updates and pictures, which was a huge relief. Penelope will definitely be back!”

“Once again, Lorri took excellent care of our girl. We were gone 2 weeks & received a text and photo every day reassuring us that all was good back home. We will definitely call on Lorri again! Thank you Lorri!”

“I highly recommend Beth! Had to go on a family vacation to Florida and leave my dog, Gary, for over 5 days for the first time ever. Beth was very accommodating and Gary had a blast! Will definitely use her again when I need to. 5/5.”

“Dawn took great care of Penny! Penny was around more dogs than she was used to, and Dawn gave Penny her alone time when she needed it. We also got daily pictures which we loved to receive. We enjoyed our vacation more knowing she was in great hands.”

“Cheyenne and her husband are fantastic! I got pictures of my pups enjoying their time and snuggling with Cheyanne's pups. They made sure my boys got their medications and helped treat a hot spot on one of my dog's paws that he had before coming to their house. My boys were super excited to see Cheyanne and danced their way to her and her husband when we got there. I will definitely use Cheyanne and her husband when I need to in the future.”

“Tom and his family were very friendly and welcoming to our pet. Copper had a lot of fun lounging around and going on walks - we enjoyed seeing the pictures and will definitely use Tom again!”

“Andrea was a fantastic dog sitter! Her and her daughter took care of my Jesse like he was their own! They bought him toys and treats and loved on him. He was a very happy dog! Andrea kept me up to date with picks and messages on how Jesse was doing. Jesse loved it there and I would definitely use Andrea again and again! Lots of love in that house hold for all pets!”

“We just booked Sascha for the 2nd time with our dog Nash. As soon as we pulled in to the driveway our dog knew he was back for a good time! Sascha sent pictures and videos each day and was quick to respond. Her dog Winston is very sweet and we would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

“Awesome....does more need to be said lol...always kept me updated and responded to my messages and my pup had a blast he got plenty of attention and lovins...he can't wait to go back ?”
“Our dogs were well taken care of overnight by Ryan and Allison and I appreciated the feedback and picture. We already have booked our dogs with them for a longer period of time and we feel completely comfortable knowing our dogs will be in good hands.”

“I rarely leave my dog but I had an occasion where I had to find a dog sitter. I reached out to Laronna and she was willing to take care of my dog. I can not thank Laronna enough because he is a senior dog with anxiety and was not easy to care for yet she was still compassionate with my dog and worked hard to calm him. She is a true dog lover who will take good care of your dog.”
“Brian and Abigail are so kind and caring with my dog! Their family has watched him two times now and they treat him as their own. They send frequent videos and photos of him throughout the day! Their kindness and attention makes me trust them fully and I hope to continue booking with them. Their family is so sweet and caring and I would highly recommend them!!”

“They took great care of my Frenchie when I was out of town for work. It was my first time using Rover. It was also my first time leaving my Frenchie since I got him. I felt at ease and appreciated all the photos and updates. Would recommend.”

“Excellent! I believe our dog Benny had the time of his life! He hates kennels and it’s obvious that he felt right at home with Angel. Angel sent daily photos and updates and couldn’t have been better!”

About: I'm newly retired and love dogs of all stripes. I spend much of my time walking the neighborhoods in west county and would love some company from 4-legged friends. I'm usually available for dog walking or check-ins from Monday to Friday from 6am to 5pm. We travel in the shoulder seasons so I'm pretty open in the summer. We have a large yard and a nearby wooded park that we walk to. No fence so dogs will be on a leash most of the time. We have a 12 year old golden retriever named Lucy.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Sherman is $40
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sherman
The graciously allowed Waffles to stay with them despite the booking being short notice. They were very flexible and accommodating on the drop off and pick up times, and send pictures through the stay, which is always greatly appreciated. Great experience and look forward to be a repeat customer next time I am in need of help with boarding Waffles while in St. Louis.

Francesca was in great hands with Lori! Lori is kind and very caring and conscientious. She asked great questions to make everything go more smoothly and to get to know Francesca’s habits. She even went out of her way to buy more treats when they got low and recommended add ins to her food when Francesca wasn’t eating so much. She communicated often with photos and updates, which we greatly appreciated! We felt very comfortable leaving our pup with Lori and will definitely ask her to dog sit again😍

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sherman.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
