“Camille was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond while we were out of town. She took care of my dogs, rabbit and chinchillas! She was very communicative and was so happy to care for my pets and give them extra attention. Thank you so so much!!!”

“Cristin was AMAZING! She was so helpful and understanding when our flights got canceled, even adjusting her own schedule, to make sure our babies were taken care of. She was awesome with our guys and I know they were in great hands. Can’t recommend enough!”

“McKenna was a great find for my puppos! They were well taken care of with photos to prove! McKenna was timely and easy to communicate with! Will use her again when she is in town! Thanks McKenna!!”

“Jennifer is truly kind. Our girls took to her immediately which is unusual for them. She was very transparent, had consistent and relevant communication, and was respectful of our home. Most importantly, she cared for our girls just as we would have (honestly, probably better!)❤️”

“Look no further if you’re looking for someone to love your fur baby! Melissa did an amazing job taking care of our Bailey! She even went as far as to send us nightly text and pictures! I will definitely be booking her again as Bailey has a new friend!”

About: Hi! My name is Kori and I’m a former vet tech (with a degree) with many years of experience working with all kinds of animals. I love animals and treat them all like they were my own, my goal is to provide the absolute best experience for pets and their people! I’m currently available most days of the week, hours may vary but I’m generally fairly flexible! I will work with you to find a time that works. I am currently open to doing drop ins in your home as well as dog walking. I may consider caring for pets in my home in the future but that would be on a limited case by case basis
“Gunner did a great job watching my two large dogs for the week. We came home after a road trip and the dogs were healthy and the house was exactly how we left it. Will be rebooking in the future 👍🏼”

“Kirsten was communicative and our animals all seemed to really like her (they are picky, so that says a lot!!). She sent pictures and made sure things were handled while we were away. Also quote flexible and available with our requests. We already have her booked for another longer sitting next week. Definitely recommend!!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born. Taking care of them has been one of the greatest privileges I’ve had. I am always helping out and trying to train them! I also love taking care of my friend's pets as well. My dog is currently 11, so I’m comfortable with senior dogs as well. I have a part time job, so I have a lot of free time! I usually have mornings, afternoons, and evenings where I can work around my schedule. I have a very safe environment for my pets at home. I am able to follow any instructions or special accommodations your pets may need! I am willing to walk, play, feed, and give your pets all the love and care they want and need!
“Cathryn did a great job with my two pups. The apartment was just as clean as it was when I left it to get and the dogs seemed to adjust just fine with no temperament issues after. She kept in contact and followed med/feeding/walking directions; even sent pics. I would definitely book again.”

“Rylee was incredibly helpful and responsive when we were away on our family trip. She provided so much relief that our babies were being very well taken care of and their routines were kept on track. We can’t wait to have her watch our dogs again.”

“Cassie did a great job with our two dogs while we were on a mini vacation away from the house. She was a great communicator and made sure to follow our recommendations on both of our dogs. Highly recommend!!”

“Tara was Great!!! She watched our Newfoundland and our daughter's deaf and blind aussiedoodle. She kept us updated and of course with lots of pictures. When we got home we could tell they were well taken care of.”

“Nadia was awesome! She did a great job with my dog Ollie. She communicated often and sent pictures of him frequently throughout the day. She took excellent care of my dog and my house while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Nadia without hesitation to anyone who needs someone to care for their pet. Thanks, Nadia!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cottleville
Sweet and kind to our pups, respectful of our home and patient with our anxiety about leaving our pups. Super nice person who asked great questions about caring for our girls. We will definitely reach out to her again when needed to ask if she is willing/able to work with us. ❤️

Alexandra is THE BEST! She takes amazing care of our pets and goes above and beyond to take care of every little detail for their care. She is fantastic with communication and shares updates on how the pets are doing while we’re away. I never have to worry about our pets and that peace of mind is priceless!

Ruth was an incredible cat and house sitter! She went above and beyond with communication, and we felt the whole time we were gone our cats and house were being well taken care of. I appreciate all that she did to clean up and get things ready for us to come home. We will for sure be using Ruth again in the future!

We had a wonderful experience with KP and Sam during their 5-day stay in our home. They took great care of our dogs, kept us updated, and left the house clean and well cared for. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our pets were happy and comfortable while we were away. We would absolutely recommend them and would gladly use them again!

Emily was an absolutely exceptional dog sitter for our Frank. From start to finish, her communication with us was outstanding—she kept us consistently updated and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She went above and beyond by sending plenty of pictures of Frank, which we truly appreciated and looked forward to. It was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. On top of that, we came home to a clean and well-kept house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better companion for Frank and would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive sitter!

Becky was great!! She was on time, kept me updated with how my pup was doing while I was gone, and did her best to keep him entertained during the FREEZING weather when he couldn’t spend much time outside. He also unfortunately got a little sick while I was away and she was great at not only letting me know about it but also cleaning up too. Not only would I rebook but would also recommend to others as well!!

Marissa was great! She is such a nice person, and I was able to enjoy my time out of town even more, knowing that my dogs were happy in our home. She sent pictures of our dogs each day, and when we arrived home, she had put a cute autumn scene on our tv to greet us.😊

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cottleville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cottleville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cottleville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cottleville. On Rover:

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
