“Ava watched our senior, blind dog Bella yesterday. She did a great job! She sent us a pic of Bella with an update of how she was doing. She was attentive when we were describing Bella's routine. We recommend her highly.”

“Perri was incredible, I can’t imagine finding someone who could take better care of our dog while we are out of town. Our dog is epileptic and had a number of seizures at the start of Perri’s stay, and she handled it incredibly well and gave him medicine 5 times a day to help prevent an ER visit without complaint. On top of that, she sent daily updates and photos and took Mack on all kinds of adventures to nearby parks and trails. Can’t say enough good things about Perri - will be booking her any time we have to go out of town! Mack has rated her 7,000 / 5 stars”

About: I have been taking care of dogs of any kind ever since I can remember! I have been working at a local daycare and boarding facility for two years, and have been taking care of neighbor and family dogs for my whole life, I promise to give you an above and beyond experience! ❤️ I work part time at a local daycare and boarding facility, so I have plenty of time on my hands! I am home from college for the summer, so I am willing to spend as much time as possible with your pet! I have a sweet elderly dog named Olive to keep your pet company! And most importantly, I have a large yard to keep your dog active and on their feet!
“Alex was amazing. She took care of our dog and cat, both can by a little challenging, and did everything we asked. We would definitely recommend her to anyone needing care for their pets.”

About: I’ve grown up around and taken care of dogs, cats, and rabbits and I have a lot of experience taking care of animals at rescues as well. Caring for animals is something that has always been a consistent part of my life. I’m currently in college and apart from babysitting a couple times a week, my schedule is very open and I am super flexible. I’m usually available for a meet and greet same day or next day, and I consistently answer my phone quickly. I go to university in the fall and spring, keeping me close to the area at all times. My schedule is very open, so I will be able to spend adequate time playing with and giving attention to your pet! I treat all animals with love and respect, just as I would treat my own. I am flexible, being able to provide just about any kind of care for your pet and open communication for you!
About: I have experience with many different breeds and temperaments, ranging from puppies to senior dogs, friendly dogs and aggressive dogs. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I owned, cared for, and trained a German Shepherd. I currently own 2 Australian Shepherds, one whom I trained myself. I am very flexible this summer so I can take last minute bookings. I can do any time of day. My weekends are available also for walking, check-ins, or boarding! 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation they need during the day. • 30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away. • My Basic House-Sitting service includes staying overnight with your pup so they have company and comfort in their own home, along with daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime, and cuddles. I am able to take your dog on walks/runs or play with them inside the house. I can take them outside to the bathroom, feed them, whatever your dog needs!
“I cannot recommend Alex enough. We had just moved to St Louis and had a family emergency which took us out of town last minute and for quite some time. Alex went above and beyond while we were away. He sent so maybe updates and truly loved our dogs while we were away. Thank you so much, Alex!!”

“Lisa took such good care of our two dogs while we were gone for 5 days. She sent the right amount of pictures and updates, left the house super clean and even had to deal with unexpected snow. She went above and beyond as a dog sitter and I would highly recommend her. Thanks Lisa!!”

“Azra was absolutely wonderful, and I am so happy to recommend her!! She took excellent care of my pets during her recent booking, and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her capable hands. Even though there seemed to be a glitch, and the system didn't send her the detailed message I had texted with specific instructions about where things are located and how to best care for my pets, Azra was incredibly observant and resourceful. She intuitively understood their needs and provided them with everything they required, making this pet-sitting experience truly outstanding.”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve dog sat for family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve helped train my family’s dogs in the past so if there are any reinforcements or cues necessary on walks I’m more than capable of helping to keep a routine! I’m currently full time graduate student, but I have some free afternoons with plenty of time to walk your pets! I am also flexible to do drop ins for potty breaks and evening feedings. I do not have any pets but I can help care for your pet with walks! If there are specific needs your dog requires such as to be crated after walks I am more than willing to follow any directions for making sure your pet is safe and comfortable!

About: Through my life I have experienced taking care of family pets, from the puppy stage to crossing the rainbow bridge. I often think I love animals more than people. I am currently working from home part time with flexible hours, so I can play with and cuddle your fur babies as much as they want. I can board, pet sit or just walk your dog weekdays or weekends day or night. I have a fenced in yard with one senior dog. I can crate a dog up to 40lbs. We can go for walks if desired.
“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

About: Capable - since I started working at a veterinary clinic at age 15, many members of the community have reached out to me to care for their beloved animals and homes. Now that I am in veterinary school, I feel more confident than ever to provide well-rounded care for various types of animals. I have years of experience working at a bird boarding facility as well as caring for my own pet rabbits, Peachy and Cobbler. Compassionate - I understand that every animals is unique and requires special considerations. My hope is that pet parents will discuss with me any behavioral, medical, dietary, etc. goals that they have for their animals under my care. Thank you for considering me to care for you fur baby! To be transparent, I am busy during the school year and mostly hoping for summer work. My existing clients who are not on Rover are my priority, but I created this account to ultimately find work when I am doing veterinary externships outside of Missouri. That said, I am completely available to stay in your home, drop-in, or walk dogs during the weeks of July 6th and July 13th, 2026. Before being responsible for any animal, there are a number of questions I ask to feel comfortable with what all I will need to do to keep them safe and comfortable. I included a few example pages of the form I typically fill out while talking to pet parents prior to caring for their animals so that you know the types of things I like to know about. Of course, this information is species-dependent, and not every item will pertain to every individual.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wildwood on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wildwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wildwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wildwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wildwood. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
