“Ava and Eve did a great job taking care of the Pups. They were both happy campers and well rested on our return. They also took care of our house and watered plants. We couldn't ask for better sitters, thanks very much.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been personally responsible for my own dogs for the past 14 years. I currently have three dogs at home and have experience with everything from small breeds to large dogs. I also have extensive experience caring for dogs with medical and senior-care needs. One of my dogs developed Addison’s disease at a young age and later battled cancer, so I became very comfortable with administering injections and medications, managing chronic health needs, and caring for a dog through chemotherapy, arthritis and mobility changes. As he got older, we adapted his routine so he could still enjoy walks and activities safely and comfortably. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, especially when they have special needs. I’m patient, attentive and happy to follow your dog’s normal routine so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine whenever possible, whether that means a morning walk, some midday company, or extra love while you’re away. I keep my Rover calendar updated so you’ll always know when I’m available! I know how much trust it takes to leave a member of your family and your home in someone else’s care. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine, your instructions, and any house rules closely so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I pay close attention to body language and individual needs and will never force an interaction or put your pet in an uncomfortable situation. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own and am always happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your family member is in good hands.

“Emma was a fantastic dog sitter! She was super thoughtful and caring, our dog was in great hands during our weekend away. Communication was a breeze, she always responded promptly and sent daily updates.”

“Perri took excellent care of our 3 pups during a 5 day vacation. We received many photos, videos and updates throughout the stay and we were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest knowing the pups were getting care, exercise and love while we were away. If Perri can handle our 3 dogs, no job is too big for her!”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

About: Through my life I have experienced taking care of family pets, from the puppy stage to crossing the rainbow bridge. I often think I love animals more than people. I am currently working from home part time with flexible hours, so I can play with and cuddle your fur babies as much as they want. I can board, pet sit or just walk your dog weekdays or weekends day or night. I have a fenced in yard with one senior dog. I can crate a dog up to 40lbs. We can go for walks if desired.
“Katie was great with our pups for a full week! Got tons of pics and updates while we were away and left everything in good condition upon return home. She even offered to help put away decorations for us. She definitely did a good job and we were happy to have her watch our pups.”

“I cannot recommend Alex enough! I think when people consider cat care, they think it’s simple. That’s not the case with our two cats. They’re extremely high maintenance. I’m talking four pages worth of notes and will wake you up early for food. Alex dealt with them in strides and even marked up said four page instruction manual. We’ll definitely use Alex again in the future!”

“Miss Kate has watched Owen for several overnight visits now. She communicates with me with pictures, videos and messages to let me know how everything is going. She did some laundry and cleaned up like I left it for her so I appreciate that very much. I look forward to having her watch Owen again soon. Thank you for taking such good care of Owen for me!”

“Tyler is absolutely amazing !!!! She has great communication skills, very nice, and polite. She sends me pix of my princess all the time. She also doesn’t just feed her and take her out. She spends time with her, plays with her and gives her lots of cuddles as my Galaxy loves. As always thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. And Galaxy sends you kisses !!!!”

“Thomas was professional and provided excellent care from the first message to his time spent with Owen. It was not your standard "house sitting" since he did not have to stay overnight but provided the help needed while I was away for the day. He came to meet us first so he could learn more about Owen and the things to make their time together go smoothly. Owen had a great time with Thomas playing outside at his house and then was able to get him home safely to sleep in his own bed. I appreciate the care Thomas provided and was so helpful to ensure Owen was comfortable with him. I look forward to having him watch Owen next time.”

“Asia helped us out at the last minute and we had a great experience! She came over multiple times per day to take care of our dog while we were out of town and sent lots of pictures. We would definitely use her again!”

“Melody - thank you so much for taking care of our sweet russell and taking such good care of our home. Your communication was amazing from the start and we appreciate you stepping in last minute when we had another rover cancel last minute. Thank you for all of the updates as well!”

“Adriannne was amazing! She went above and beyond to take care of our pets and our home, while we were away for a week on a trip. She followed all of our instructions for care. She was reliable and communicated quickly and frequently with us before and during our trip. We have a cat and three dogs, including a high-energy 110 pound lab, and Adrianne took great care of all of them. Adrianne demonstrated that she has the expertise and experience with how to manage a variety of pets and dog breeds and personalities. We returned to a very clean home and very happy and healthy pets. We will definitely reach out to Adrianne again next time we take a trip.”

“Kelsey was absolutely phenomenal as both our dog sitter and house sitter while we were in Alaska. She provided frequent, detailed updates about our pups, along with the sweetest photos and videos that gave us so much peace of mind. She was especially attentive to our older dog, asking thoughtful questions to make sure she was providing the best possible care. She truly went above and beyond—not only caring for our dogs with genuine love and attention, but also taking great care of our home. After a storm passed through, she checked everything, handled anything that needed attention, and made sure everything was in great shape. She even had the house clean for our return, took out the trash, and did the laundry, which was such a thoughtful surprise after a long day of traveling. Knowing Kelsey was there allowed us to fully enjoy our trip because we never had to worry about our dogs or our home. We completely trust her, couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will absolutely book her again for any future pet or house sitting needs. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley was fantastic. She took excellent care of my two shy cats and earned their trust. Daily updates and photos helped me relax and know they were in good hands. I will be booking Ashley again as my kitty nanny!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wildwood on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wildwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wildwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wildwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wildwood. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
