“Perri is a fantastic house/dog sitter!!! We received countless photos every day of our dog Murph looking very content, happy, and well taken care of. We would highly recommend Perri!!”

“This is the second time we have used Alycia for pet sitting. She's trustworthy and very patient with my skittish dog Chance and cat Bee. I feel confident that my pets are taken care of when we are out of town. I definitely will be using her again.”

About: I used to pet-sit. Worked at a day-care a while ago. I've worked and interacted with all types of dogs. I enjoy what I do. I actually get really excited when working with dogs. I know they're a lot to handle sometimes but I feel like they're great fun to work with and they always make me feel better. My favorite types of dogs include Boxers, Miniature Schnauzers, Miniature Pinschers. I like all dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am really into playing fetch with dogs. I also don't mind playing with rope toys. They might tear my arms off but hey! It builds character! I'm very easy-going and I feel like with dogs you have to have a great sense of humor and enjoy the trade in order to work with them. I hope you consider me for some of your services. I look forward to chatting with you over the phone, internet, or in person! Also, I have a sweet little Mitten cat (her name is Mittens). She's a blue tortoise cat with these little white Mitten paws. My father has a black Maltese poodle named Beau... The sweetest dog in the world. I used to live with him and we were the best of friends. We still are. But we just don't see each other as much. That's who you see me with in my photos. I have pretty much open availability. I am comfortable doing overnight visits and morning/afternoon/evening walks. I'm currently in the process of trying to build clientele so I'm more flexible now than I might be in the future. But my long-term goal is to make this a full time 8 hour day. The 8-hour schedule block will entirely depend upon demand though. Whether it's broken up into different times of the day with a break in between or a full 8 hours non-stop, entirely depends upon when clients need availability. The number one most important thing about pet care is communication though. Between the owner and me. The sooner we know things, the better. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I currently provide care exclusively in my clients' homes because I believe most pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. Staying in their home helps keep their routine consistent, reduces stress, and allows me to focus entirely on giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. Whenever possible, I love to schedule a meet-and-greet before the booking begins. It's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, for your pet to become comfortable with me, and for me to learn about their personality, routines, favorite activities, quirks, medications, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. I firmly believe that in pet care, overcommunicating is always better than undercommunicating. I'd much rather ask one extra question than make an assumption, and you can expect prompt responses, regular photo and video updates, and complete transparency throughout your time away. While I would be comfortable offering boarding in the future, I currently choose not to because I share my home with a beloved cat. My decision isn't out of concern for her behavior—it's simply because I don't want to bring unfamiliar dogs into her space. By focusing exclusively on house sitting, I can give your pets individualized care in the environment where they feel safest and most at ease, while ensuring every animal in my care is comfortable, secure, and happy.
“Claudia was great as always! She communicated well the entire time, sent updates and photos, and loved on our two dogs like they were her own. Our boys love spending time with her and we love that we can trust Claudia. We will book again with her in the future!”

“Kate is the only person I use to take care of my 3 dogs. I think I’ve used her about 6 times now, all for multiple days. They all have different personalities and one is scared of people but loves Kate. She’s responsible, communicates well, and always leaves my house better than when I left!”

“Lesley was a life saver! We have 2 dogs, a cat, 2 mini donkeys, and a horse and she cared for all of them while we were gone. She even sent pictures of our babies which I love receiving while away from them. She gave them lots of cuddles and love; even if the cat may have forced her to cuddle more than anticipated 😅 we will definitely be reaching out to Lesley again whenever we need someone we can trust to watch our four legged babies!”

“Sharon took wonderful care of our Batman. Ensuring he was eating and taking his meds. She provided feedback and was responsive. I feel comfortable with her staying in my home and at ease he will be ok. Thanks again”

“Ryan was a wonderful companion for our dog Bailey. She played Frisbee and tug with her daily. She communicated with us every day with pictures. I felt very confident that Bailey was well cared for while we were gone. I'm so happy to have found her!”

“This is the second time that Jeremy has sat with Sirius. Sirius was so excited to see him again! Jeremy brings a great calming presence to my sometimes anxious big guy- always offering affection, play and fun food enrichment (Sirius’s favorite). Jeremy is a super communicator and I love that he sends me a few pics to let me know how things are going which I very much appreciate. We will absolutely continue to be repeat clients.”

“Claire was above and beyond for us! She took the most incredible care of Pebbles and she was so flexible with my schedule changes. She was so patient when our A/C went out while I was gone. She is the blueprint for dog watchers and there is nothing I wouldn’t trust her with! She played with Pebbles and I got a lot of photos. Claire is an ANGEL!!!”

“Emma was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of our Goldendoodle, Hank, while we were away. She kept us updated throughout his stay with lots of pictures and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. She truly went above and beyond by watering my flowers and bringing in our packages without us even asking. It was such a thoughtful gesture and meant so much to us. Hank was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved his time with Emma. We would absolutely trust her with Hank again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter! 🐾💕”

“Bennett was fantastic! He was professional, communicative and truly looked after our lil pup. Having him taking care of our pet helped us have a great vacation. We will definitely work with Bennett in the future and he made a forever furry friend!”

“Alexandria was a phenomenal pet sitter! We felt completely at ease and were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing our animals were in such good hands. She cared for them as if they were her own—attentive, playful, and always keeping our dog company. It’s clear our pets love her and feel comfortable around her. We’ll absolutely hire her again for any future travel!”

“Ava watched our senior, blind dog Bella yesterday. She did a great job! She sent us a pic of Bella with an update of how she was doing. She was attentive when we were describing Bella's routine. We recommend her highly.”

“Samantha was absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough. From the moment we left, she gave us complete peace of mind with thoughtful daily updates and so many sweet photos of our dogs. It was obvious they weren’t just being looked after, they were genuinely loved and cared for. She went above and beyond in every way. She brought in our mail and packages, tidied up the house before leaving, and treated our home with so much care and respect. Coming home to happy pups and a clean house after being across the country was such a gift. Samantha and her daughter were both amazing, and I truly can’t thank them enough. Finding someone you trust with your pets is priceless, and I feel so lucky to have found her. We will absolutely be booking with Samantha again, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pets like they’re her own.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Valley Park
We chose Amber because of her listed experience with deaf dogs, as one of our two girls was born deaf. Not only did she come for a meet and greet when we first reached out in April, but then she reached out for a check-in the week before our June trip just to be sure we felt comfortable. Amber had such confidence with our girls (60-70lbs each) and was not at all overwhelmed with their excited greeting. Amber had excellent communication if we reached out while away and she sent daily updates with photos, so we knew all was well. Amber took excellent care of our home, and we look forward to having her back again!

I have to admit we were a little nervous about leaving are fur babies with someone they did not really know. Caeley was very kind to come and meet them twice. They were very excited to see her the second time she came. We set down and talked about each pet and their habits, feeding times, and who went out when. She was very reassuring that she could handle the one dog who could be food aggressive. During our time away she sent pictures and text messages about how things were going. We came home to 4 very happy fur babies. Casley is just a wonderful young women who made us feel very comfortable leaving our home and pets with her. I would give her 10 stars if we could. She will be go to pet and house sitter always. Thank you Caeley!
Amy was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, bunny, and fish while we were away. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our pets were well cared for, happy, and comfortable. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. Communication was excellent, and it was obvious she truly cares about animals. Out of 10, she is definitely a 10! We would absolutely have Amy as our sitter again and 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable.

Daniel watched our two babies while we're in Europe. She sent pictures frequently and updated us on how they were doing. The neighbors loved her and were amazed at how well she bonded with Joey and Molly. We give her a 5 star rating and would recommend her to anyone.
First time using Abigail. We were out of the country and she spent a week with our old boy, Django. She made sure and spent lots of time with him, sent us pictures and kept us posted on how he was doing. We were very happy with Abigail and will definitely use her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Valley Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Valley Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Valley Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Valley Park. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
