I put the pet first in all situations. In most situations I’ve had limited interactions with a pet before working with them for the first time. It’s most important to me that the pet and bond on their terms so the respect gained is mutual. If a pet doesn’t trust you, then they won’t be comfortable. So it’s important to me that I use a pet first approach in all aspects so the pet is most comfortable in every situation.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dog both physically and mentally. We’ll play engaging games, go on fun sniff walks to explore new scents, and chill outside to enjoy nature. Mental exercise provides dogs with a better “workout” so it’s an important aspect of my care. I’ll adjust activities based on your dog’s energy level and preferences to ensure they have a happy, enriching experience.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life, with 10 years of hands-on experience from fostering a wide variety of breeds, ages, and abilities. I’ve worked with everything from newborn puppies to senior dogs in hospice care. My expertise includes training blind and deaf dogs, as well as working with breeds that require specialized care and attention. I’m also experienced in behavior training, ensuring that each dog feels safe, loved, and well-cared for under my watch.

We chose Amber because of her listed experience with deaf dogs, as one of our two girls was born deaf. Not only did she come for a meet and greet when we first reached out in April, but then she reached out for a check-in the week before our June trip just to be sure we felt comfortable. Amber had such confidence with our girls (60-70lbs each) and was not at all overwhelmed with their excited greeting. Amber had excellent communication if we reached out while away and she sent daily updates with photos, so we knew all was well. Amber took excellent care of our home, and we look forward to having her back again!
Amber takes exceptional care of our two dogs. She knows their specific needs and goes above and beyond. We are so thankful for the care she gives. I would highly recommend Amber!
Amber is truly the best! My dogs instantly loved her and she cared for them with lots of love. She went above and beyond with everything! I loved that she made sure my senior dog was spoiled and administered his medication without issue. Thank you Amber!
Amber did a wonderful job with our two Great Danes. She gave both ladies plenty of attention and walks - they loved it! We have already booked her for another vacation!
