About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I had a beagle and a dachshund mix growing up. Now I have a sweet cavapoo named Ivy! I am gentle with all kinds of pets and really pay attention to dogs behavior and mannerisms. Their safety and happiness are my number one concern. I will be graduating from Mizzou in May! I just finished up an internship that I had this semester, so I have all the time in the world now! Feed, take out, take for walks, play, cuddle, and any other tasks that you would like for me to do, and give them all the love they need.
About: I’ve lived with my dogs for around 10 years. I take them for walks, feed them when my family needs some help. I have a big dog and a medium sized dog! I don’t have any professional experience but I take care of my dogs often. :) I’m a student at Mizzou, so I will typically be busy until 3pm when I’m in Columbia. When I’m back home in Ballwin over breaks, I should typically be free at all times. I can’t have pets in my home, but in others home I am able to give walks, play with animals, and do anything that’s needed! I love taking care of animals and I’m super careful with them.
“Alli accepted a week before when another sitter cancelled on me …she was so professional booked a meet and greet right away. She took such good care of my babies (I have three and two are older seniors - and one active puppy!) she took amazing pics and never worried about them she is AMAZING”

“Cynthia was amazing- she went above and beyond the call of duty. It’s obvious that she loves animals. It stormed all weekend while we were gone, but she was very careful to make sure that our dog was comfortable. Thank you, Cynthia.”

About: As a performer who travels the world by sea, I know how comforting the love of an animal can be and while I’m away I miss that connection so much! I have loved, snuggled, and pet animals around the world and while I’m back on land I would love the opportunity to give your pets the same attention! I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew up in a home full of furry friends. My parents volunteer with Duo Dogs, so our house has always been a revolving door of puppies and big dogs alike. Two of our English Labs are especially sensitive to fireworks and thunderstorms, so I’m no stranger to calming anxious pups with patience, love, and a gentle hand. Whether it’s a walk around the block, a game of fetch, some cozy snuggle time, or maybe it’s your turn to get out and see the world, I’m here to keep your pets happy and cared for while you’re away. My schedule is wide open during my time home-so don’t hesitate to reach out and let’s set something up! Since I am taking a land break, my schedule is very open! I enjoy my time at the gym, but other than that I don’t have many routine commitments. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I offer care in your home where your pet feels most secure and relaxed. I always follow your instructions closely, respect your space, and treat your home with care. You can trust that your pet will be loved, safe, and well looked after while you’re away.
About: I’ve watched dogs for several of my friends and family in the past and have decided to take my care pet scratches to others in need. I’m currently a personal trainer. So I’ll have afternoons to come home and let the pups out. And I’m there for several hours at a time. I like to walk so they will get exercise in. I have a fenced in back yard. So the dogs will have plenty of space to run and play. They have a pond to drink from.
About: Just reactivated my Rover account in June, 2026. I am a dog person. I have two dogs, Clover and Nova which are 70+ pound husky/ Aussie mix dogs that will play hard and sleep harder. I will give your pup tons of attention, play time, and can work on training if needed as well. I love training my dogs as well as other dogs, so if you’re looking for a trusted dog walker with training experience I’m ready to help. Look forward to meeting you and your dogs. I work long days and most evenings and looking to walk dogs on my lunch break close to my office. I love walking as I walk my dogs multiple times a day. I will always leash your dogs on walks. I am familiar with the gentle leader leash and training no-pull harness. I can handle dogs that may be aggressive and will go to the other side of the sidewalk if your dogs aren’t friendly with other dogs.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog and cat lover with experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I currently have both dogs and cats, so I’m very comfortable with multi-pet households and different temperaments. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule for dependable walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m calm, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I always follow your pet’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable. You can expect consistent communication and photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family in West County! I work from home, which means I get plenty of breaks for dog walks, potty breaks, and cuddle visits throughout the day. I’m usually available mornings, midday, and early evenings on weekdays, plus weekends with a little notice. I love building routines with pets (and becoming part of their daily favorite-human rotation). I always follow your instructions closely so your pet can stick to their normal routine and feel comfortable. I treat your home with respect and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure at all times. On walks, I stay aware of surroundings and keep things safe and calm. I use secure leashes/harnesses and adjust the walk based on your pet’s energy and needs—whether that’s a relaxed sniff-around or a more active walk. And of course, there’s plenty of love, attention, and reassurance built in. I’m also happy to clean up after pets as needed so everything stays tidy and stress-free. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease while you’re away.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my love for animals and my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages. Growing up, my family had two dogs, so I have cared for pets through every stage of life, from puppies to senior dogs. After caring for both, I gained valuable experience in dog walking and watching. Overall, I am confident that I can adapt to each dog’s individual needs. I am also very reliable and great at communicating. I will make it a priority to updates the parents with messages and even photos. I am currently a college-athlete, so during the school year, I do have to dedicate time each day for class and practice. However, I want to make time for this because I really enjoy spending time with animals. Since I can not be with my own, pet walking/sitting is the perfect opportunity! When I care for a pet in a client’s home, I would follow their routine as closely as possible so that their pet feels comfortable. For dog walks, I would make sure to match the dog’s energy level and needs. As for their safety, I am always alert and off my phone so that they have my full attention.

“We have used Barbara multiple times. She always communicates well and is extremely nice to our dog. We appreciate having someone so reliable and never have any doubts about the care and attention given to our dog. Would absolutely recommend her.”

I have gotten the pleasure of working with Callie several times. She is reliable, takes incredible care of my dogs, and puts thorough updates in for every visit. I have had bad experiences with other Rover sitters, but cannot say enough good things about Callie I love her and so do my dogs, thanks so much, Callie!

Caitlin is amazing, and we feel fortunate to have found her! She took time to get to know us before starting and even offered tons of great advice for raising a puppy. Her background is in veterinary sciences, making her incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She’s kind, calm, and respectful as well. She arrives on time, goes above and beyond our expectations, and is flexible with scheduling. We would recommend Caitlin in a heartbeat!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
