“I had a great experience with Carmen. She accepted my last-minute booking request, which was a huge help, and took very good care of my dog. She was reliable, caring, and made me feel confident that my dog was in good hands. I really appreciate her flexibility and would happily recommend her to others. Thank you!”

I have experience with a wide range of dog breeds, especially Shiba Inus, Akitas, Golden Retrievers, Shih Tzus, German Shepherd and Bichons. I am working in hybrid with 4 days at home. I have regular hobby morning/evening run. I might run slow but I love to running with dog. If your dog is not big fans of running, we can also have a walk around to explore the big park near my home. ☀️☀️ We also have AC at home to keep the temperature in 23°C during the heatwave, so your doggy will also be stay with cool and chill during their stay. 🧊🧊 I have a fenced yard and locked garden door to make sure the safety of the dog. “Our dog absolutely loved staying with Hannah and Nalu!! Very quick responses and lots of updates throughout the day. Our dog is usually not very good with dogs, but Nalu made it really easy for him to adjust and have a blast☺️”

“At short notice, I was able to book Ping Yan to look after our dog three times over half term for a full day. She was very professional, friendly and caring and I felt 100% confidence in her. She kept contact throughout the day sending videos and information about how our dog was doing, which was great. On the first day, we were stuck in London and got back much later than we had initially anticipated. Ping Yan was very understanding and kept telling us not to worry as we waited on delayed trains to get back to Cambridge. She made us feel very reassured which really helped. I can’t imagine that anyone would be anything but overjoyed at the way Ping looks after dogs so you have nothing to worry about with her. She was also very punctual whenever I texted her to say that we’d be downstairs in a few minutes to meet her.”

“Zhong took excellent care of our dog! We really appreciated the photos and videos, and he was super happy and tired when we came to pick him up. We would love to book with Zhong again!!”

“Danuta looked after our puppy Jeffrey and he had a great time! She took a lot of photos throughout the day, took him on walks and he was able to interact and play with other dogs who were also in Danuta’s care. We will be booking with Danuta again in the future 😃”

“Great experience with Rocio. Bonny had a lovely time and was very well looked after and happy. Will definitely contact Rocio next time we are in Cambridge and need doggy daycare!! Thank you Rocio 🐾 🐶”

“Gilda was amazing with our puppy Callie. We had to book her last minute for dog-sitting and she was available and very quick to respond. She has a great house and a yard. We got regular photo updates and they went on a nice walk. Callie had a great time and I was glad she behaved well! Gilda clearly loves dogs and next time I need a dog sitter in Cambridge I will call her without hesitation. Thank you Gilda! :)”

“Giselle was absolutely fantastic with Stella. Stella has quite a nervous disposition, but she took to Giselle straight away, she engaged great with her and updated us on how she was doing. Stella settled in great, far faster than I expected her too which was so reassuring to see. I would definitely recommend and will be booking with Giselle again in the future!”

“Jacob is a great sitter and Reggie loves his visits. He gets lots of love and attention and great walks. Reggie is already excited for his week long stay with Jacob. Thank you for always being so flexible and accommodating”

About: Hi my name is Steve and I have years of experience looking after friends' dogs and cats. I grew up with a labrador and (together with my wife and daughter) have been the proud owner of Sam, our (now almost) 7 year old cockapoo. Sam is very friendly, loves nothing more than chasing a tennis ball and cuddling on the settee with a blanket. I work from home and enjoy going for daily walks with Sam around the village and nearby Country Park, so your pet will have plenty of company and exercise during their stay. Your dog will also have full access to our enclosed rear garden, with plenty of space to play, and free access to the downstairs of the house. I am available for day care and boarding in our home, during the week and on most weekends. Before committing to any new bookings, I would like to meet your dog to ensure that your dog is happy to settle with our dog. Please contact me for any questions. I work from home and enjoy taking our dog for daily walks around the village and neaby Country Park, ensuring your dog will have plenty of company and exercise. Your dog would have free access to an enclosed rear garden with plenty of space to play and would also have full roam of the downstairs rooms (inluding access to comfy settees and blankets).

About: Hi, I’m Romina 😊 I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always grown up with pets. I’ve mainly looked after small and medium-sized dogs, but I also really like larger dogs and would be more than happy to care for one. Since moving to England, it’s been a bit more difficult to have a pet of my own, so I’d love the chance to look after other people’s dogs, give them plenty of affection, and enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy playing with them, taking them out for walks, and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well looked after - just like they would at home. I’m also happy to handle feeding and follow any specific routines or instructions you provide. I currently study online, which means I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to different needs. I may also be available on some bank holidays, depending on availability. I’m a patient, responsible, and caring person, and I would look after your dog as if they were part of my own family 🐶💛 If you have any questions or would like to know a bit more about me, I’d be very happy to chat! I study online during the afternoons and evenings, so I have plenty of time during the day to stay with your pet or take them out for walks. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be a priority. I’ll make sure to follow their usual routine and your instructions, from feeding and walks to playtime, rest, and any special needs. I’ll also take the time to get to know their personality and respect their individual needs and boundaries, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with photos and videos throughout their stay, so you can see how they’re doing and have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’ll treat every pet with patience, kindness, and care, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable during their time with me. 🐾

About: I'm an experienced dog and cat sitter. I grew up taking care of my cats and my family's dog which taught me how to properly look after them and make sure that they feel loved! I moved to Cambridge in 2023 and since then I have pet sit (both cats and dogs) for several people, and I'd love to care for your furry friend too! . If you chose me to look after your pet, I'll provide pictures and updates, as I know how stressful being away from them can be. Whether you're going away and need someone to care for your pet for a few days, or you just need my services as a dog walker, I'd be happy to have the opportunity to be the one to care for them. Taking care of animals brings me genuine joy and I assure you that your pet will be treated with lots of love! I have recently finished my sixth form studies so I'll be completely free to take care of your pets for the time being. However, during the moth of May I'll be only available to walk dogs or provide drop-in visits. On the days 17, 18 and 19 I'll also be able to provide doggy day care (1 day). Starting June, I'll be able to dog and cat sit normally. I live on a lovely flat that I only share with my mother. It has enough space for a small or medium dog or a cat to be happy and comfortable and live peacefully without disruption. We also have access to a private garden and there are several parks nearby that are perfect for walks.
“Janet and Bruce were so accommodating and flexible. We have a rehomed adolescent doggo who is still learning and were keen to find the right fit for her. As soon as we met them we knew that they were the right people to take care of Lullah. Their warmth and experience, as well as their set-up, were reassuring and instilled us with confidence. They took wonderful care of Lullah and sent us welcome updates during the day. Thank you!”

We asked Giselle for day care for 2 consecutive days at short notice and she was more than happy yo help. Our dog had never stayed at another persons house before and can also be anxious but this didn't phase Giselle. She was welcoming and happy to meet our dog, Maple and asked questions about her care before I left. Maplee didnt show any signs of anxiety or being frighted at being lwft with someone she didnt know. When we went to collect Maple on the first day, she clearly had a brilliant day and was reluctant to leave. When we returned on the second day, Maple was straight out the car and clearly very impatient to get back into Giselle's home. They clearly had fun on the second day as Maple was reluctant to leave the garden and clearly had no thoughts of wanting to leave. Would definitely ask Giselle to care for Maple again in the future. Thank you for being such a caring person Giselle and allowing us to have a great weekend.

Cooper had such a lovely day with Kate! She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the day, which I really appreciated. He had a great time playing with her puppy, Moon, and it was so nice to see how well they got on. It was clear he was very well looked after and had lots of fun. I’d happily leave Cooper with Kate again and would definitely recommend her!

Gilda is fantastic, a loving and attentive dog sitter who really enjoys dogs and their individual personalities. Kona loved his visits with Gilda and could not wait to go back. She is also conveniently located if you happen to be out and about in Cambridge without a car. We appreciated her flexibility and the joy with which she approached each visit. Highly recommend.

I left my 2 dogs Luca & Oscar with Ecehan for 4 days last week my dogs loved staying with her. She was absolutely brilliant in accommodating my eradicate times and If I could I would give more than 5 stars, my boys will going back in the future so that recommendation on its own .

Dora seemed very happy when we went to collect her after her day's stay with La Sol E who seems genuinely fond of dogs. Dora is still a puppy of 9 months and so extremely lively (and also having her first season) but La Sol E. seemed unphased and we shall be very happy to ask her to look after Dora again.
Jacob was brilliant with Whiskey and looked after her like she was his own. She was really happy when I picked her up, and I could tell she'd been well looked after. It's clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. I'd happily leave Whiskey with him again and would definitely recommend him.

We found Maria through Rover.com when we came to Cambridge for a graduation ceremony. We needed day care in a new place as a matter of urgency. Maria was so lovely with Hazel all through. We felt safe leaving her with Maria though it was the first time she had met our dog.We receive picture updates regularly.I would recommend her gladly and hope to book with Maria again.

May is amazing! Kuma really loved her! She is a great dog trainer and she kept us updated all day with messages and picture! I really recommend her, she is very well experienced with dogs and she knows well how to deal with an energetic puppy like kuma! We have already booked her for future day care since we really trust her to take care of our kuma

Thank you Danuta for taking care of our little ones quite last minute. They seem thoroughly loved 🥰. Thank you for sending pictures regularly and keeping us posted. Sherlock and Lily seemed really comfortable even though it was their first time. They would love to see you and Ivy soon.

Ella did a fantastic job looking after Daisy – we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was Daisy’s first time with a dog sitter, so we were naturally a bit nervous, but with Ella it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. We really appreciated the regular updates and all the lovely photos throughout the day – it was so reassuring to see how happy and settled Daisy was. It made such a difference knowing she was in such caring and capable hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ella and will definitely be booking again!

Dora's stay for the day with Franklin seems to have gone very well. She certainly seemed to have enjoyed the walks and the play in the garden - so much so that she actually ate all the food I had left for her lunch - a good sign as she is a very 'reluctant' eater at the moment - possibly due to the arrival of new teeth. With thanks to Franklin & family for looking after her so well.
We were delighted to learn from Steve and Mel that Portia had settled well on this, her first visit to what is, very obviously, a dog-friendly home. She appears to have got on well with Sam, a lovely cockerpoo boy, and had behaved well both in the house and on the 2 walks that she had been taken on. We hope that Steve and Mel will be happy to have her back again. Thank you!

- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
