About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life—having had my own since I was just one year old—so caring for them comes naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve also regularly looked after dogs for family and friends, gaining experience with different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I offer reliable and caring dog walking and sitting services, making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and well looked after. Whether it’s a fun walk, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I currently work part-time as a nanny three days a week, which gives me a flexible routine and the ability to check in on pets throughout the day. My split schedule allows me to offer reliable visits for feeding, walks, and companionship, ensuring your pets are well cared for even when you’re busy or away. I’m happy to work around your pet’s needs and provide consistent, dependable care you can trust. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I make sure they have plenty of attention, companionship, and care while you’re away, always keeping their environment clean, calm, and familiar. I also respect your home, ensuring everything is left tidy and secure after each visit. My goal is to make your pet feel happy and stress-free, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in safe and caring hands.

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and my parents have a collective 6 dogs that I have lots of experience tending to. I have experience working at a dog boarding business that typically has around 8-10 dogs at any given time. I helped with the dogs and the boarding business when I was living back in California and I still do whenever I go home. Because of this I have dealt with many types of dogs. I have taken care of puppies and administered medication for aging or sick dogs. The dog boarding business I have experience with has a gated property in the woods and do not kennel their dogs so I am used to having dogs around and in the house constantly and dealing with the needs of many dogs at the same time. I have done a lot of housesitting. This includes two families whose whose farms I used to housesit for for up to three weeks at a time. They both had cats, a large dog, chickens, a garden, and an orchard. One also had horses and the other had goats. Because of this I am very comfortable taking care of large properties and dealing with farm animals. I am also comfortable managing dogs around farm animals. I have also cat sat for 2 weeks for a family with two cats (one of whom was elderly and needed medication and lots of attention). I am a full time PhD student with the ability to work remotely so I can work from your home and watch your animal during the day I am a PhD student with the ability to work remotely and I have a fairly flexible schedule so I can come take care of your pet all day while I work. I am able to provide them with as much care as they need during the day while I work. I am organised and very good at following the instructions you set out for the care of your pet. I am not able to watch pets in my own home due to a no pets contract but I can come and upkeep your home for you while watching your pet I am an experienced house sitter and can make sure your house is given just as much care as your animal. I have experience watching large properties and a large number of animals and following strict instructions for the upkeep of both.

About: I am a vet student and have recently moved to Cambridge after growing up in the countryside in Cornwall surrounded by animals. I love looking after animals of all shapes and sizes. I'm new to Rover and I can't wait to meet the pets of Cambridge! As a full-time student my schedule is variable week to week and depending on term dates. However, I have plenty of free-time to fit in walks, check-ins and sitting, particularly on the weekends. Feel free to reach out for my availability. I am more than happy to follow any set schedules and routines for your pets as you prefer, including dinner routines, favourite walking locations and playtime.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them has come naturally ever since I was a child. I've been lucky enough to spend time with all sorts of breeds and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each dog unique. I've cared for everything from a rescue St Bernard to Labradors and Golden Retrievers, so I'm comfortable with larger breeds as well as energetic dogs who love long walks and plenty of play. I've also looked after a variety of other pets for family and friends over the years, which has taught me that every animal has its own routine, and little quirks. . I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust. I'd care for your dog the same way I'd want someone to care for my own - with kindness, and lots of attention, and plenty of updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I work full-time, but I have a hybrid schedule, which gives me the flexibility to be home during the week and dedicate quality time to the pets I'm caring for. My mornings, evenings, and weekends can all be centred around making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I currently offer dog walking, toilet breaks, and drop-in visits in your home, where your pet can stay in the environment they know and feel most comfortable in. I always take the time to get to know each pet and stick to their usual routine as closely as possible. I'll make sure they're well looked after while you're away. I'll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I know how important trust is when inviting someone into your home, so I'll always keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can see how your pet is getting on and have peace of mind.

About: Hello, my name is Alessandra (Ally) and I am an energetic and responsible dog enthusiast! I've spent a lot of my life living with dogs, looking after other people's pets, and walking and sitting dogs of all shapes and sizes. I fully understand what a big deal it is to trust a stranger with your dog. If you’d like to chat on the phone or speak to people for whom I have previously dog-sat/-walked please just ask. I usually work from home. I therefore have lots of flexibility to look after your four-legged friend and head out for walks as they need. I have an multi-floor, safe apartment - your dog is free to roam around and enjoy themselves. If sitting at your home, I'll make sure your pet has their normal routine and follows house rules :)

Alicia was fantastic! We asked her to drop in twice a day over the weekend to feed and play with our 6 month old kitten. She was professional throughout, asking thoughtful questions up front to ensure she was prepared. She provided thorough updates through the website after each visit, along with plenty of photos. It very much put us at ease while we were away, knowing our cat was in good hands! We will certainly use Alicia again in the future.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was about 2 years old and I’ve had pets at home since I was 8 (cats and dogs). 🥰 My family even adopted a stray dog when living abroad (in India ) and trained her from scratch. It was a lengthy but very rewarding process. It taught me a lot about dog psychology and training. We often used to foster dogs before they went into their forever families or did dog sitting for dogs to stay at our house overnight. I really love all animals, I am very patient with pets and very attentive to their needs. I am a full-time MPhil student but I am very happy to take care of your pets (for doggy walks, drop in visits and house sitting) whenever I am free. I am usually available during the evenings and on week ends ☺️ I can completely understand how daunting it might be to leave your pet at home while you are away. I will always try my best to make your pet as comfortable and happy as possible 💕 I listen to their special needs, whether they require special exercises to remain occupied or frequent belly rubs! 😻 Please let me know about your pet’s routines and I will adapt accordingly :)

About: I have been taking care of my own animals, dogs and cats, for my entire life, and now I am at university I want to be able to continue doing so! I have two cats and we live in an apartment, so a dog isn’t suitable for our family yet, which is why I really love using Rover. I have training experience from taking care of my own dog and walking neighbours’ and friends’ dogs as a part time job throughout the completion of my education. I worked in a vet clinic on work experience for a week and I interacted with a lot of different types of dogs in a very short time period! Alongside dogs I am an avid cat enthusiast. I have had 4 cats in my time and every one has had a different personality. I have been passionate in the care of felines and I believe they are truly misunderstood by people! They have so much to offer. If you need a catsitter, please contact me as I have experience in sitting for all ages from kittens to senior cats, and I am happy to drop in if your cat needs feeding or fuss during the day. I’m a graduate waiting to start my new job so I am available on most weekdays and evenings, and every weekend. Happy to arrange this around your needs. I can keep your dog leashed if required, if I am dogsitting in your home I will ensure everything is locked and safe for the evening - no escapees on my watch!

About: I have always had pets since I was a little kid, mostly dogs. Therefore I am really experience and used to living with them. After I moved to the Uk to study I did not had the time and money to have my own dog, so I was on pet sitting apps for a while, since I love animals and I really missed my own. I used to have a Labrador really long ago and I was almost raised with him since I am an only child, I had to say goodbye to him when he turned 8 years old, since he got paralised from waist to legs and it was horrible to see him that way. After Brownie, my mom got a little Cocker named Lucas, I have lived with him for around 4 years and I get to see him every time I go back to visit my family in Spain! Hello! My name is Casilda, but everyone calls me Cas! I am Spanish and have been working since I was 16 years old, starting with part-time jobs and then moving on to full-time work as soon as I turned 18, mainly in different pubs around the UK. I am currently based in Brighton, where I work part-time on Friday and Saturday afternoons/evenings. The rest of the week I am completely free and usually spend my time at home, working on my own things and looking for opportunities related to my career. I finished my Architecture course last year and I am currently looking to complete my professional experience in the UK, so having plenty of free time during the week would also allow me to dedicate lots of time and attention to a pet! I am a very loyal, funny, responsible, hardworking and adventurous person. I love the outdoors, going for long walks and doing sports, so I would absolutely love having a furry companion to share some of these activities with! I think this would be a wonderful opportunity for me, as I absolutely love animals and have always had pets of my own back in Spain. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to have a pet in the UK because studying and working have left me with very little free time. Now that my schedule is more flexible, I would love to be able to take care of a pet and give them all the attention, love and company they need. I am also fully aware that having a pet is a huge responsibility, and I would take that responsibility very seriously. I treat pets as if they were mine, obviously with the instructions that I have been given by their owners. I am a very active person that’s always going for walks, running and also love to spend time with my friends at the park. I always take my dog with me and that’s how treat others too

Imogen replied to my request for a sitter straight away to let me know she was available. It was short notice so I was delighted she could come to mind my dog whilst I had to go out. Imogen let me know when she was close and arrived on time. She was really lovely and my dog liked her straight away too. She did not cry when I left which is the first time ever. Imogen did a great job of looking after my dog who was happy and very relaxed when I got back and had clearly bonded with Imogen. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
