“Rocio made friends with our cat very quickly. He’s admittedly quite a friendly creature, but it was clear that Rocio had experience of how to make cats feel at ease. She made sure everything practical was sorted out exactly as we would have done. She also played with our cat and made sure he wasn’t bored. We would definitely book Rocio again.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since childhood, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. From energetic puppies and loyal adult dogs to curious cats and small pets, I truly enjoy building a connection with every animal I meet. I’m an active person who loves going for walks, so regular outdoor time, exercise, and fresh-air adventures are always part of my routine with pets. Whether it’s playtime, gentle senior care, reinforcing training, or just keeping your pet’s routine consistent, I provide loving, reliable care and treat every animal like my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m currently a student and also work a part-time job, but I keep a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available mornings, evenings, and weekends. I make time every day to get outside for walks and enjoy including pets in that active time. I’m responsible, organized, and always punctual, so you can count on me to follow your pet’s routine, whether that includes feeding, playtime, walks, or cuddle breaks. I’m always happy to discuss scheduling details to make sure it works well for you and your pet. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the routine and guide you provide so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. I pay attention to the little details—feeding times, favorite toys, treats, and any special habits—because I know how much routine matters to pets. I treat your home with the same respect as your pet, keeping everything clean and tidy by washing bowls, cleaning up after playtime, and keeping litter or potty areas fresh. I also love staying in touch, so I’ll send regular updates and photos to let you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make things easy and stress-free for both you and your pet. 🐾

About: I’ve had pets throughout my childhood, so caring for animals has always felt natural to me. Alongside that, I have 3 years of pet sitting experience, helping with walks, feeding, check-ins, playtime, litter changes, cuddles and keeping pets calm while their humans are away. I know how scary it can feel to leave your pet with someone new. You want to know they won’t be ignored, rushed or treated like “just another booking”. That’s not how I work. I pay attention. I follow your pet’s routine, notice their mood, respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, loved and properly cared for. Some pets need play, some need patience, some need space, and some just need a kind human nearby. You’ll get clear updates and photos, and your pet will get real care, company and attention — not a quick visit with no heart behind it. I have a flexible routine and I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet proper time and attention. I’m available for check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime and company, depending on your pet’s routine and what you need. At the moment that's my availability: •Mon to Mon •Morning - Afternoons- Evenings •Boardings full day, half day and weekends. I know it can feel scary to leave your pet with someone new, so I take trust seriously. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep doors, windows and gates secure, refresh food and water, clean litter or any mess, and make sure your pet is safe before I leave. I don’t rush visits or ignore pets — I pay attention to their mood, routine and comfort. You’ll also get clear updates and photos, so you know exactly how they’re doing.

About: I’ve lived with and taken care of pets like cats, dogs and hamsters since I was a kid. I currently have two happy, healthy senior cats at home and I would love to help take care of your animals. I’m currently working part time with flexibility so I can fit my schedule around yours. I’m a morning person so it’s no problem for me to come by before work. After I moved into my own home 7 years ago, I immediately got cats and they have glowing reviews for me (except they would like more food please.) In your home, I would treat your pets with loving care and your space with respect.
“Alicia was fantastic! We asked her to drop in twice a day over the weekend to feed and play with our 6 month old kitten. She was professional throughout, asking thoughtful questions up front to ensure she was prepared. She provided thorough updates through the website after each visit, along with plenty of photos. It very much put us at ease while we were away, knowing our cat was in good hands! We will certainly use Alicia again in the future.”

About: I have a level 3 qualification in animal management. I have also grown up with German Shepherds and have previously had 2 dachshunds. I am experienced in looking after large breeds , and reactive breeds as our family dog was reactive to people and dogs due to his past . I raised two dachshunds which has given me experience in puppy training and dealing with puppy biting , toilet training , and the different needs a puppy has. I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and have a keen interest in dog behaviour and psychology . I have attended years of dog training and obedience classes to learn more about different training methods and techniques. I have also completed a level 3 qualification in animal management in which I have studied animal nursing, husbandry, behaviour, and more. I have a few years of experience dog sitting and cat sitting. I also grew up with cats and have had experience looking after them. I’m currently on a gap year, so free a lot of the time! I’m travelling a little so will be away some weeks, but know this in advance. I can’t accommodate your pet in my home as I don’t live in pet friendly accommodation. In your home I would provide enrichment and physical exercise to keep your pet entertained. Then we can have some downtime if they need it, and depending on their comfort around me, maybe some strokes!

About: Hi, I’m Romina 😊 I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always grown up with pets. I’ve mainly looked after small and medium-sized dogs, but I also really like larger dogs and would be more than happy to care for one. Since moving to England, it’s been a bit more difficult to have a pet of my own, so I’d love the chance to look after other people’s dogs, give them plenty of affection, and enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy playing with them, taking them out for walks, and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well looked after - just like they would at home. I’m also happy to handle feeding and follow any specific routines or instructions you provide. I currently study online, which means I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to different needs. I may also be available on some bank holidays, depending on availability. I’m a patient, responsible, and caring person, and I would look after your dog as if they were part of my own family 🐶💛 If you have any questions or would like to know a bit more about me, I’d be very happy to chat! I study online during the afternoons and evenings, so I have plenty of time during the day to stay with your pet or take them out for walks. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be a priority. I’ll make sure to follow their usual routine and your instructions, from feeding and walks to playtime, rest, and any special needs. I’ll also take the time to get to know their personality and respect their individual needs and boundaries, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with photos and videos throughout their stay, so you can see how they’re doing and have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’ll treat every pet with patience, kindness, and care, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable during their time with me. 🐾

“I needed a last minute walker and Libby was recommended to me by two of my friends. She offered to stop by and meet my dog, Sherman, the next day. All went well, Sherman loved her. She let him out on a Saturday night and then also kindly let him out Sunday afternoon last minute. She is commutative, thorough and clearly an animal person. I would fully recommend her!”

“Lucia did a great job taking care of my cat, as usual! It’s reassuring to have someone I trust pet sitting Mora, who I know will make sure to get my cat her medication every night.”

“Ellen was very professional, trustworthy, and an excellent sitter for our cat. The cat needed special medication each night and Ellen administered it no problem. She event went above and beyond to water our balcony plants during the heat wave.”

“Sarah is wonderful! This was our first time leaving our puppy at home alone during the work day, and Sarah was super patient with him, very attentive, and kept me updated every step of the way. I really appreciate her reading through our care instructions and even offering to do some training with our pup. We will definitely book Sarah anytime she is available!”

Kashif could not have been better. The cats took to him straight away. He came twice a day to care for the cats and sent lots of photos showing them being very happy. Evertyhing was spotless when we came back. Would recommend him to anyone and will be using him again!!
We were concerned to leave our young cat alone for five days, but Rocio won her heart immediately, while also giving us reassurance that she was in good hands. She took extra care because of the heat wave. We got home to find everything in perfect order. Rocio is an excellent carer.

Sarah was fantastic with our 2 cats: she won them over very quickly and they seemed to really enjoy her care from the (numerous and great!) pictures she shared. She really went the extra mile and allowed us to be fully relaxed knowing our kitties were being looked after well. We absolutely recommend her!
Freya was wonderful! She cared for Muffin beautifully and kept us up-to-date on how he was doing with lots of photos. She even watered my plants which were looking thirsty in the warm weather! Muffin had a lovely time with her and we will definitely book in with Freya again in the future 🥰

Paloma did a fantastic job looking after my cats during the latest heat wave. She's very attentive and quick to respond to messages. Even my shy girl took to her quickly and she often hides behind the sofa when people she doesn't know come into the house. I'd highly recommend Paloma and will be using her services again.

We hired Lucia to look after our cat while we were away for a week. She was so thorough and attentive during her visits, and it was such a relief. She worked through the heatwave to make our cat as comfortable as possible and sent detailed reports every day. Our car very much enjoyed her company, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet companion!

Nena was fantastic and took excellent care of our two cats during the heatwave. She made sure they always had fresh food and water, and kept an eye on the house temperature to ensure they stayed comfortable. She kept us updated after each visit, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, she spent time playing with the cats and giving them attention, so they were happy and relaxed when we came back. We would happily recommend Nena to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter. :)

Imogen replied to my request for a sitter straight away to let me know she was available. It was short notice so I was delighted she could come to mind my dog whilst I had to go out. Imogen let me know when she was close and arrived on time. She was really lovely and my dog liked her straight away too. She did not cry when I left which is the first time ever. Imogen did a great job of looking after my dog who was happy and very relaxed when I got back and had clearly bonded with Imogen. I’d be really happy for Imogen to look after my dog again again and would highly recommend her as a reliable, kind and caring pet sitter

Ellen is absolutely amazing: she took fantastic care of our two guinea pigs (and sent over some great photos, too!). More importantly, her diligence and attentiveness meant that we were alerted to the fact that our cat hadn't been eating her food (and, in fact, had escaped as we were leaving for our holiday), which meant we could come back early and track our beloved pet down: I couldn't be more grateful to her, and will definitely use Ellen when we're away in the future!
This was a repeat booking with Annabel. My cat is always super chilled and unstressed when I come home, after she has been looked after by Annabel while i'm away. Annabel sends me regular updates and she can be relied on completely. This time she also applied some treatment to my cat, with no difficulties. Annabel looks after both cat and owner needs really well, I can highly recommend her cat sitting services.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cambridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
