I’m currently on a gap year, so free a lot of the time! I’m travelling a little so will be away some weeks, but know this in advance.

I can’t accommodate your pet in my home as I don’t live in pet friendly accommodation. In your home I would provide enrichment and physical exercise to keep your pet entertained. Then we can have some downtime if they need it, and depending on their comfort around me, maybe some strokes!

Let me know if your pet has any special needs that I can accommodate for . I will take most bookings , regardless of age / temperament , but it is important for me to know when booking . All pets are different so I would like to know how they react to other dogs (if I am pet sitting your dog) , food allergies , and how they react to new people . Of course if any medications needs administering I can do this too just let me know .
A typical day
I would love to make sure your pet has their needs met physically and mentally . I would take your dog for lovely walks around the area , and would love to do some enrichment activities with them! Then it is important for them to have time to rest so I would let your dog have some chill out time . For a cat, we’d play some games and then they’d get some strokes if they want whilst we sit together. I understand that downtime is important for pets, as well as enrichment.

Pet care experience
I have a level 3 qualification in animal management. I have also grown up with German Shepherds and have previously had 2 dachshunds. I am experienced in looking after large breeds , and reactive breeds as our family dog was reactive to people and dogs due to his past . I raised two dachshunds which has given me experience in puppy training and dealing with puppy biting , toilet training , and the different needs a puppy has. I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and have a keen interest in dog behaviour and psychology . I have attended years of dog training and obedience classes to learn more about different training methods and techniques. I have also completed a level 3 qualification in animal management in which I have studied animal nursing, husbandry, behaviour, and more. I have a few years of experience dog sitting and cat sitting. I also grew up with cats and have had experience looking after them.

It was the first time I left my puppy with someone and Josephine did such an amazing job! She kept me updated on how my puppy is doing and I was pleased to see that after initial stress he was able to settle down and get some cuddles.
