About: I live in central Cambridge, right next to a large park, so there are plenty of opportunities for lovely walks and outdoor adventures. I’m happy to adapt to each dog’s personality and needs, whether that means going for a run together, enjoying a longer walk, playing and exploring, or simply having a relaxed day and lots of cuddles. My priority is making sure the pup feels happy, comfortable and cared for. I work remotely, which makes it easy to fit pet care into my daily routine. I can take breaks for walks, playtime, and cuddles, and I enjoy having a dog’s company during the day. Make sure the dog always has water and gets food when it’s food time. Make sure there are no items on the flow that the dog could possibly eat or destroy.

About: What sets me apart is my flexibility and genuine love for animals. I work from home, so I can provide care throughout the day, including for pets that need extra attention or companionship. I'm also able to drive, making it easy for me to travel to your home. I've cared for pets with separation anxiety, high-energy dogs that need long walks, and pets that require more frequent care and supervision. I'll always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. Working from home allows me to provide flexible, attentive care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs multiple walks, regular playtime, companionship, or extra supervision, I can easily adapt to their routine. I understand that some pets experience separation anxiety, so I'm happy to spend extra time with them to help them feel calm, safe, and comfortable while you're away. Every pet receives plenty of love, patience, and individual attention. While I'm unable to host pets in my own home because I have a cat, I'm happy to care for your pet in the comfort of their own home. Staying in a familiar environment helps reduce stress and keeps your pet in their usual routine. I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, walks (if needed), and lots of love while you're away.
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have grown up with dogs and now own the most wonderful cavapoo, Callie, who is just over 1 year old. I have been looking after dogs in and around Cambridge for the last year and a half on other platforms and would love to meet new doggos and humans through Rover. We got Callie as a puppy and so are well aware of the needs of young puppies and I am more than happy to do dog training whilst your companion is in my care. My last dog lived to the grand age of 16 and so I am also sensitive to older dogs and making them comfortable. My work is flexible and so I can look after dogs as and when required with very few exceptions from weekly work commitments. Weekends and evenings are always free. I own my home which has a good sized garden with 6-foot fence. I live opposite a play park and so are not close to any busy road. With my own dog I am relaxed with where she goes - on sofas, beds, etc. She does sleep in a crate but we have also had dogs sleep on the bed with me as well.
“Larissa was absolutely amazing with Banjo. He is an old dog and she cared for him so well. He has stayed with Larissa before and was very happy to return. I would highly recommend Larissa as a dog sitter. Thank you.”

“Wade and Michelle took amazing care of our very nervous and quite high maintenance dog, Cookie. They very kindly met Cookie in advance, and during the stay sent regular updates and photos of them on walks and snuggling on the sofa. They are a lovely family and we will be using them again.”

About: Hey! I’m a scientist looking to spend more time with cats. I grew up having cats in the house and I miss having them - I would if I wasn’t renting! I cat sat throughout my degrees, including a blind cat (I studied animal welfare & behaviour at the Royal Vet College so we got a lot of requests!). I love all animals - but cats have a special place in my heart, which is why I’m here! I understand how stressful leaving your pet is and I will provide you with the peace of mind to enjoy your time away. If your cat needs more attention, I have a recently renewed love for reading so I can bring along a book and hang out for a while.
“This was our first time leaving Nesta with someone else. Giselle put my husband and I at ease immediately. Our dog is not the friendliest of dogs and we were worried about how he would behave. Giselle sent us many updates and Nesta seemed to be behaving himself - apart from rolling over in poo twice! Giselle handled the situation well and it must have been very unpleasant for her. Otherwise, we were very pleased with his placement and we have already booked Giselle again for the near future.”

“Arthur had the time of his life staying with Teresa. He is often nervous around new people but Teresa was really good with him and he came out of his shell almost immediately. I was sent regular updates and pictures. I will definitely recommend her, and will use her again when needed.”

About: I have a Frenchie and really enjoy training, walking and playing with her! She has two homes and when she is not with me, I am here on Rover! I would love to come by to get acquainted with you and your fur babies (and vice versa). This way, when I do turn up, they'll be comfy with me! Please let me know your pet's likes and dislikes! This is definitely up to you and your fur baby's routine! Please let me know everything I need to know about his or her needs! I enjoy the outdoors and sharing this with your fur babies will make it even more enjoyable! I cannot wait to meet your fur babies!

Suey is truly an exceptional and incredible dog sitter! She took such amazing care of our dog, Momo, during his stay. Throughout the entire time, Suey gave us ultimate peace of mind. She sent us many photos every single day, along with detailed, thoughtful written updates on how Momo was doing. She walked him 2 to 3 times daily and gave him so much personal attention and love. When we picked Momo up, he was clean, super happy, and clearly felt completely relaxed and at home in her care. You can really tell how much Suey loves dogs and how thorough and dedicated she is. We will definitely be booking with Suey again in the future, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch care for their furry family member! Thank you so much, Suey! ❤️

We had a great experience with James. He was really prompt and helpful with communication, and kept us updated throughout our dog’s stay with regular photos, which was really reassuring. Our dog settled in really well and seemed very happy and comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and would definitely use him again!

Ping (May) was so good with Robbie, going far and beyond anything to look after him for two nights while we were away. She sent regular updates too which was lovely. It is clear that she has a natural bond with dogs. Robbie was so calm and content when we collected him. Highly recommend.

Viv was amazing, she looked after Peppa and Farusca ( dog and cat) so well, it was the first time leaving our family pets without a familiar face and we had an unexpected situation with Peppa but Viv handled it perfectly, she kept us informed liaised with us when something was needed, we received pictures/ videos. On returning home both pets were happy and relaxed, it just felt they were home. Viv meet us prior to the booking day , we went through the routines, she was just amazing. Will definitely contact her again if needed.
Maria is a well informed, caring and extremely reliable person. She boarded Arlo (a 4-year-old cockapoo) for almost a month when we were away for our summer holiday. We met a few people off Rover before coming across Maria and the questions we were asked didn’t fill us with confidence as some of them were basic dog care ones, which would have been known by pet owners/carers. When we met Maria, her expertise was evident and, instantly, we felt confident to leave our dog with her. Our dog was well exercised and loved throughout his stay. We would be more than happy to leave our dog with her again. Thank you very much for taking a great care of Arlo. We had an amazing holiday thanks to you & knowing that he was well looked after in our absence.

Ralf took excellent care of my dog while I was on holiday - she clearly had a great time staying with him. Ralf is always a pleasure to deal with - responds quickly, and provides lots of photos/updates. This was my second time leaving my dog with Ralf, and I'd be very happy to do so again.

We had a good experience leaving Momo here. He can be a bit cautious and is a picky eater, but she was very patient with him and took great care of his needs. It was wonderful to see him gain confidence and get along so well with her dog, Noura. Momo came home safe, happy, and well-rested. She clearly loves dogs and provides a safe, welcoming environment. We're happy to recommend her!

Shitong had Dexter while we were away and sent us daily updates to show how much fun he was having with her! He stayed with another dog and she is so lovely. She was so friendly and sweet to our boy. He was well looked after and had a fantastic time staying with her. We highly recommend Shitong and we will be using her services again in the near future!

Right from the meet and greet session, and throughout Willow's stay with Nova, she made us feel at ease, continuously reassuring her of Willow's wellbeing and status on food, walks, cuddles through messages and photos. She patiently took time to understand Willow's personality, preferences, medications and schedule. It was amazing to see Willow settle in so easily with Nova and her partner in just under a day. Highly recommend Nova to even nervous fur parents.

Caroline and her partner were absolutely lovely and took such great care of Cooper! 🥰 He was clearly very happy and comfortable with them, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. I’d happily leave Cooper with them again and would definitely recommend Caroline to anyone looking for someone kind and trustworthy to look after their pup! 🐶

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
