About: Hello! My name is Aleksandra (or Sasha), and I’m a huge dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs. As a dog owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to find someone you truly trust to look after your beloved furry family member, so I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have about me or my experience. I have a 12-year-old dog whom I adopted from Japan over eight years ago, and I’ve also spent many years looking after other people’s dogs, whether hosting them in my home, doing drop-in visits, or taking them for walks. My dog has become a bit of a bossy and stubborn old lady, but she gets along well with other dogs, especially younger ones. I work as a scientist and have a flexible hybrid schedule, which means I can work from home several days a week and adjust my hours when needed. This allows me to check in on your dog, take them for walks during the day, or provide company while you’re away. I’ll always do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Drop me a message and I will be happy to chat! I have a hybrid schedule and work from home 2-3 days a week. My office days are usually Monday and Thursday, but can be adjusted if needed. My weekends are usually free, so I can easily help out with walks, drop-in visits, or dog sitting when needed. I live in a secure apartment building, so any dogs staying with me will be in a safe and supervised environment. I only take on a limited number of dogs at a time so that I can give each one plenty of attention and make sure they feel comfortable. I’m also available for house sitting, drop-in visits and walks within Saffron Walden, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. I have a 12-year-old dog who gets along well with most dogs, although she can be a little bossy sometimes. For that reason, I would prefer to arrange a first meeting in a neutral open space, such as a park area, before any stay in my home. I find that this helps dogs get to know each other more comfortably and makes the experience much smoother for everyone. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos, and I’ll make sure your dog is treated with the same care and attention that I give my own.

About: I've cared for dogs throughout my life and volunteered for years at a dog rescue facility. At the moment, I can't have a dog full time due to personal circumstances, so the house feels very empty. Over the years, I've been fortunate to adopt and foster several wonderful dogs who initially found living in human society very odd, and so were labelled as having 'behaviour problems'. I have also given boarding care to elderly and disabled dogs who required me to administer medicines and respond to medical needs. My partner Giacomo and I work full time, but at least one of us works from home each day of the week, so guests would not be left on their own too long. Guests can join me for yoga in the garden in the morning and a long walk along the river in the evening. I travel a bit for work, so my availability for boarding and daycare depends on being in Cambridge at the right time. We live in a terraced house with a large fenced garden, which is ideal for visiting dogs. There are no children or other pets in the house, but quite a few squirrels in the garden.

“Lijo and his family were great. They watched Lola and Nalu for us ad Lond administered Nalu’s medicine and eye drops as she scratched her eye unexpectedly two days before boarding. They kept us up to date with photos and videos during the pups’ stay. We are grateful for their care of our doggies! Thank you again!”
