About: Having grown up with dogs and small animals, I am very capable of caring for them and dealing with complex behaviours. When I started dog sitting in my teens I was looking after friends and family’s pets. Since then I have accrued a great deal of experience working with new people and their pets. I am very adaptable! As a recent university graduate I am currently working as a barista during my gap year. I regularly have free evenings and with enough notice I can be available for an entire weekend/weekday day. I am anticipating a lot of availability from July onwards this summer. For more independent pets, I am able to visit between shifts and stay overnight and require minimal advanced notice. I am a very vigilant person so I am always hyper-aware of your pet’s wellbeing and whereabouts. My experience with dogs has lead me to develop fast reaction times to situations such as a dog eating something that’s not allowed.

About: I've grown up with dogs and been around dogs for almost all of my life. Until recently owned a 12 year old cocker spaniel called Tigger. I'm a keen Cani Cross Runner and Tigger was a great running dog, he absolute loved it, so I'm trying to help more dogs be active. A healthy active dog is a dog that will have a longer healthy life and a lot of dogs don't get the exercise they need. I'd love to help change that. 😊 I'm available almost all the time when I'm not travelling and happy to work around your schedule with enough notice. Let's have a chat about your needs. If you would like me to try running with your dog the following apllies: I would need to take your dog out for a walk or two first to learn about their habits and needs. Then if they've not tried Cani Cross before we would need to take it slowly as there's a lot to learn for both me and your dog about how we run together. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about this as well, so do let me know and if you'd like to come along as well that's even better!

About: I have had dogs my entire life as my mother used to breed as I got older I used to help her. I have always owned a dog since the age of 13 and I am very confident around big dogs as well as being comfortable looking after puppies. I have experience with my own dogs in their senior years, administering medicine and also have trained my own puppies. I have children who go to school so am free most days to sit, check in or walk your dog/pets. I am available at the weekends but this may not be until after lunchtime. I can care for your pets in your home or take dogs out for walks. I do have my own dog and cat and am not currently offering to look after your pets at my own home at the moment, if this is something you are interested in I would first need to get to know your dog.

About: I have always been around dogs almost all of my life. From the age of 6, I helped to look after and care for our family dog right up until the day he passed. Since then, it has felt like a hole within our hearts. I miss being out in the Fresh air on walks, having a buddy to snuggle up to on the couch and watching a little fur ball doing zoomies. I have previously looked after friends dogs, the longest being for 3 weeks. I also dog sit and look after 3 dogs for friends who are out at work or for long weekends. My boyfriend and I are active individuals who love going on walks around our estate, engaging in group activities with friends and their dogs ( little pup dates ) and being able to love a dog. Pet care fits really naturally into our routine because I only work 3 days a week, which gives me plenty of time to give dogs lots of love, attention, and care throughout the day. We both love going on walks and little adventures, so your dog would get plenty of exercise, playtime, and cuddles too. We’re very affectionate with dogs and love making them feel comfortable, happy, and part of the family. We’re also quite flexible with boarding, so we can work around different needs and routines where possible. I will care for pets as if they’re part of the family and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. Myself and my boyfriend live in a maisonette, and although there isn't a garden, I am very active and make sure dogs are taken out regularly for toilet breaks, walks, exercise, and fresh air throughout the day. I am happy to crate a dog if that’s part of their normal routine, but if not, there’s a spacious comfy couch for them to relax on and feel at home. Whether in our home or the owner’s home, I would always make sure the dog is supervised, cared for properly, and given plenty of attention, affection, and playtime.

About: Ive always had a dog and I am also loved by cats, I love giving them attention and like it too. You're leaving your baby in safe hands coz when Im with pets they become my world. I feel I understand animals well, even though they can’t communicate in the same way we do—perhaps it’s my biologist’s instinct. I truly enjoy spending time with them and would be delighted to care for your beloved pets. As a PhD student, I have a self-managed schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time and attention to pet care. I also see this as more than just a side role—it’s something that brings me joy and a sense of calm, almost like therapy, while ensuring your pets feel safe, loved, and well looked after. As I have lived in the past in an area where wildlife is common, I always took extra precautions to keep pets safe, including ensuring they remain indoors after 6 PM, even for short strolls. I also carefully check the environment to remove any sharp or hazardous objects. Most importantly, I pay close attention to their behavior and cues, making sure they feel heard, understood, and comfortable at all times.

About: I started my own little petsitting business from the age of 10, when I walked dogs and looked after a large range of smaller pets in Cambridge. I have experience of injecting insulin in pets and im happy to learn other medical needs. I have a cat of my own who's previously lived with a dog, and I also have pet rats. Im currently working a 0 hour contract at a school, while caring for my parents. Therefor I'm more available in school holiday times and weekends. Some weekdays I have online appointments, so I can easily fit that around petsitting :) I can care for pets in thier own houses over the holidays, or I can care at my house for shorter periods. I have an enclosed gravel back garden and a grassy front garden. My house os a short walk from the park or the community centre, so I can easily take a dog out.

About: I have recently returned from Guatemala where I cared for rescue cats and dogs. This has given me experience caring for animals with a range of needs in a variety of settings. I am an absolute animal lover, previously owning a Dachshund for 14 years and now two kittens. I enjoy all animal experiences and would love to care for your furry friends🐾 I am currently working part time locally, so I would have plenty of time to fit your pets needs into my schedule at your convenience! With a range of experience caring for animals, I am confident in caring for your pets based on your needs. About: (At the minute because of work, I known availability a week in advance – will update accordingly) I have had a variety of pets growing up; budgies, hamsters, turtles and now I am a mum to my only son, Simba – a Bengal cat. I have taught him various tricks like 'spin', 'sit', and 'high five' and he enjoys being taken out for walks just like a dog! He is a curious critter. As for dogs, my experience is recent as my boyfriend's mum allowed me to housesit for a week so it meant I was also looking after her beloved 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Luca! I've met him many times before and he's a lovely little fellow. However, he is very reactive towards anything and anyone, pulls the lead like a sled dog and resource guards his toys. I knew all of this before housesitting and went in with a plan. In my week there I managed some improvements. Luca doesn't get walked so his pulling is excitement so as soon as the lead went on he would scrap and bolt out the door. I taught him to sit and wait as the door opened before going outside. In addition to tugging, I would stop dead in my tracks umtil the lead went slack OR I'd change direction immediately. He is also extremely reactive to people, birds, cats so I would be extra on the lookout and keep a tight leash to at least hold him back. Some improvements were made to this behaviour, and I spent around 1hr to an hour and a half on a walk each day. As for the resource guarding, I could throw a toy but he would keep it in his mouth and if I asked to drop he would growl. So, I would throw the toy and if he came back growling I would do something else and when he'd drop the toy I would throw it again. I was also responsible for letting him into the garden for his necessities and to fill his food and water. He also knows basic tricks but I taught him how to "sit pretty" in just a few seesions! An extra task was guiding him into the bathroom so the family cat can be let inside. By no means am I a dog trainer at all, but I love Luca very much and despite his flaws he is a sweetheart. I am a university student and I work some hours at work but I would like to work a job that doesn't feel like a job because, let's be honest, spending time with a lovely animal is not a 'job' in the slightest. I'm looking for something more flexible and something I can control more than a traditional job. I work in a café so at most I finish in the late afternoon. When I looked after Luca the reactive Cocker, we were in an alley and I saw another dog coming in our direction early enough to get us moving out of it and held him back by his harness as the dog and person walked by. He was barking and lunging but I held him back well enough. Another one was when we were out on a walk and I spotted a cat earlier than he did so I immediately changed direction. As for more basic care, I would constantly refill his water bowl, give him his daily meals and let him out into the garden often.

About: I have dog sat in other people's houses previously, I have walked my own and other people's dogs, I have done puppy training and I am currently at a university diploma level of my animal degree but am working towards my bachelors, which includes dog training. I have had animals my whole life and know the signs to look for stress etc. I am a student and rover was recommended by an old friend I am currently a student so many people refuse to hire me but I am happy to watch animals while at home I will provide walking, and enrichment as well as water, I have some generic dog food but if you have specifics to feed the dog feel free to bring that with you.

About: I’m currently not working so have lots of time to give your pets the attention they need. I spend around one third of my time sitting for friends, living at their house and caring for their two bengal cats while they’re travelling. I’m also the first point of call to most friends when they need dog care. I’ve done a variety of different sits for strangers on other sites, and have plenty of experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and guinea pigs. My auntie works on a farm, so I’ve spent lots of time with farm animals throughout my life too. I’m a true animal lover :) I currently have no strict commitments or routine, meaning I can easily stay at someone’s home and give full time care for multiple days at a time. It also means I can visit for walks and cuddles during the day times. Happy to follow any usual routine you have for your pets, and will ideally care for them in your home. Cats are usually easygoing and I’ll be available for cuddles if they decide they want them! I’ve had experience with Maine Coones and Bengals too, who are a little bit less easygoing!

About: I’ve walked my nans dog before and did dog walking in London. I’m now pop in to a elderly friend’s house to walk her dogs. I don’t work at the moment as I’m looking for a job so I’m free anytime of any day of the week. Unless I’m walking my elderly friends dog. I make sure that the house is safe so they can’t escape. I take them for a long walk in a park or field if they need it. Also I will only take them of the lead if the owner says it’s ok to do so.

About: We grew up with a variety of pets :- dogs of all sizes and breeds, cats, fish, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils - to name but a few! Friends and family have relied on me to look after their pets on many occasions. I have experience feeding, bathing, walking and sitting animals of all kinds. We are a young entrepreneurial couple who have recently moved to Cambridgeshire to live a more eco-friendly, healthy, outdoor working lifestyle (Trying to escape the big ‘corporate machines’) We’re busy trying to start ‘Harrowe Hounds’ as well as beavering away with a work from home startup E-commerce venture.
