Lovely family! We left Guinness in for day care, and she was well looked after and had a great time playing with Ivy. We received lots of great photos, including one next to a Guinness bottle :) Totally recommended

Bella loved spending time with Lauren and her family. We feel relaxed knowing she’s in good hands. Lauren also sends regular photos and videos of Bella which is lovely as I always miss my fur baby when we’re away from her and it always puts a smile on my face seeing her happy.

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was young and have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities. I’m reliable, patient, and truly love spending time with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to feed, walk, and care for their pets as if they were my own. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.” I work in my own house, so I'm always at home and when I have to go out, my boyfriend is at home and helps me take care of them. I live in a house with a fenced garden, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets. I can host small, calm animals in my home. For medium and large dogs, I'm happy to provide care in the owner's home. I always make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for, following their routine and needs.

About: I have done dog sitting and dog walking for my grandmother's five dogs ever since I was 10. Since then friends have relied on me for dog sitting and walking. My job allows me to work remotely, so I am working from home and can take care of and walk doggies as and when needed. There are plenty of green spaces for walking and playing. Your dog will have constant company and there are other friendly dogs and dog owners in the area.

About: I have loved dogs and cats (and all the other animals!) since I was a kid, as I grew up on a small farm. I always enjoyed their company, and they seem to enjoy mine ☺️ I had a black lab called Brian in my adult years and a cat called Simba. My heart broke to pieces twice when I lost them. I have always been actively seeking dog and cat sitting opportunities, especially before and after Brian. My longest dog sitting was nearly 6 months long, and I still go to visit him whenever I can as we have formed a lovely bond. I currently work for a company producing smart devices as well as other products for dogs (soon cats, too!), so I am very familiar with the dog & cat world and their welfare is very important to me (as well as all the other animals!). I work full time in a 9-5 office role, but I am based mostly from home and generally have a good degree of flexibility throughout the week, with the occasional exception when I need to be in the office or attend meetings elsewhere. This means I can usually fit pet care easily around my schedule. For dogs, I can provide walks before work, during my lunch break, and again after work, as well as plenty of companionship throughout the day. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so daily walks and quality time with pets fit naturally into my routine. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and relaxed while their owners are away. I usually care for pets in their own home, as I find they are happiest and most comfortable in familiar surroundings. For dogs in particular, this almost always means that I stay in the owner’s home so they can keep their usual routine and enjoy the comforts they are used to. I am happy to discuss having a dog stay in my home if needed. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always look after both pets and homes with care, respect, and attention to detail.

About: My name is Kinga and like many people I grew up with dogs and have had dogs throughout my adult life. I love living with dogs, looking after them and simply being around them.I have experience of caring for dogs of various breeds such as Greyhounds, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Labradoodle, German Shepherds, and Cane Corso, to name a few. As a dog owner I know how important it is to have your pet looked after by someone who is reliable, dependable and trustworthy and who will make your pet feel safe, comfortable and happy. I’m happy to help look after your pet/s whilst you go away or when you are at work. I’m patient with animals and confident with looking after dogs of all sizes and ages. I’m working from home and therefore will be around to look after your pet 24/7 and can be flexible to accommodate your pets needs. I love walks with the dogs and snuggles on the sofa. I have a medium size, secure garden where your pet can chill in the sun or have a playtime. The safety of your dog is paramount when out and about thus I am mindful what areas and walks I chose.

About: I’ve had pets throughout my childhood, so caring for animals has always felt natural to me. Alongside that, I have 3 years of pet sitting experience, helping with walks, feeding, check-ins, playtime, litter changes, cuddles and keeping pets calm while their humans are away. I know how scary it can feel to leave your pet with someone new. You want to know they won’t be ignored, rushed or treated like “just another booking”. That’s not how I work. I pay attention. I follow your pet’s routine, notice their mood, respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, loved and properly cared for. Some pets need play, some need patience, some need space, and some just need a kind human nearby. You’ll get clear updates and photos, and your pet will get real care, company and attention — not a quick visit with no heart behind it. I have a flexible routine and I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet proper time and attention. I’m available for check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime and company, depending on your pet’s routine and what you need. At the moment that's my availability: •Mon to Mon •Morning - Afternoons- Evenings •Boardings full day, half day and weekends. I know it can feel scary to leave your pet with someone new, so I take trust seriously. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep doors, windows and gates secure, refresh food and water, clean litter or any mess, and make sure your pet is safe before I leave. I don’t rush visits or ignore pets — I pay attention to their mood, routine and comfort. You’ll also get clear updates and photos, so you know exactly how they’re doing.

Highly recommend May, she went above and beyond when looking after Barney for the day. We had a meet and greet beforehand and found May to be very knowledgeable and considerate of Barneys needs. She sent lots of updates with videos and photos throughout the day which was great and made me feel very reassured that he was being well looked after. She even went so far as to teach Barney a new handy trick! Would definitely be happy to book in with May again in the future.

Having also many years experience with livestock and horses, size/strength is no issue either. Dog Boarding: Can only accept boarding requests for males. Sitting: dependent on dates/times and duration but happy to discuss to try accomodate. Please message and let me know which dates you require. Many thanks! About: Loving, Reliable Pet Sitter & Dog Walker – Here to Keep Tails Wagging! Hi! I’m Tessa, an experienced and energetic animal lover offering dog walking and pet sitting services. Whether it’s a long walk in the park, some playful company during the day, or dedicated care while you’re away, I’m here to give your pets the attention and love they deserve. I tailor each visit to your pet’s needs, whether that means active playtime, feeding, cleaning up after them, or just lots of cuddles and reassurance. I have previous hands-on experience with dog walking, pet boarding, and general animal care. I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m just as comfortable with cats, too! Friends and past clients often describe me as dependable, calm, and great at picking up on a pet’s needs. I’m currently taking a break from working part-time, but when I go back in sept I will be out 3 hrs a day but will have plenty of flexibility throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. This means I can spend real quality time with your pets, rather than rushing in and out. I take the responsibility seriously but always aim to make it fun and comforting for your furry friend. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals – I’d love to help! I am currently taking a break from part time work at the moment and just help out with a few things to keep me busy. This will fit in very well as I like to walk and keep fit and also have time to play and keep doggy’s stimulated and also have down time with cuddles. I have a cat at home that has only been brought up from a kitten around dogs, so she is very adaptable to all the different types of dogs I have had over the years. If there is a routine that your dog needs to do, I will follow that to the letter. Food at a regular time, crated if needed and walks at set times.

We were happy to leave our lively young dog in Juliet's care for the day. Juliet handled the introduction to her own dog and other mindee on neutral territory to avoid any problems, and it was great to have photo updates of the three little dogs enjoying the garden and the sofas together. Tired but happy spaniel!

I left my 3-month-old puppy with Ecehan for the first time, and naturally I was quite anxious about leaving him with someone else. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ecehan was absolutely wonderful with Cooper. She kept me updated throughout the day with plenty of photos and videos, and it was clear he was having an amazing time. She was incredibly patient with all of my questions and reassured me whenever I was worried. It’s obvious that she is very experienced and genuinely loves what she does. Cooper came home happy and relaxed, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with her again. I highly recommend Ecehan to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy dog sitter—I’m sure she’ll become your pup’s new best friend!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - South Cambridgeshire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Cambridgeshire on Rover is £31.05 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,161 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in South Cambridgeshire. About 85% of South Cambridgeshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your South Cambridgeshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
