Danuta looked after our puppy Jeffrey and he had a great time! She took a lot of photos throughout the day, took him on walks and he was able to interact and play with other dogs who were also in Danuta’s care. We will be booking with Danuta again in the future 😃

Bella loved spending time with Lauren and her family. We feel relaxed knowing she’s in good hands. Lauren also sends regular photos and videos of Bella which is lovely as I always miss my fur baby when we’re away from her and it always puts a smile on my face seeing her happy.

Virag was terrific! She looked after my dog (miniature dachshund) for the day. She arrived promptly as arranged and Biggles quickly took to her (despite always being wary of strangers at first). She sent lots of videos and photos of Biggles clearly having a terrific day and dropped him off late as we’d requested. Will definitely book with her again, would recommend Virag for any pet sitting or dog walking.

I love living with dogs, looking after them and simply being around them.I have experience of caring for dogs of various breeds such as Greyhounds, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Labradoodle, German Shepherds, and Cane Corso, to name a few. As a dog owner I know how important it is to have your pet looked after by someone who is reliable, dependable and trustworthy and who will make your pet feel safe, comfortable and happy. About: I've taken care of my pets since I was a kid. At home, I took care of cats, dogs, fish, and birds, while at my farmhouse, I took care of many other animals. I'm currently on maternity leave. I can easily manage to petsit in the morning, during lunch break, evening, and overnight in my home if needed. Once I am back to work, I could also work from your house, ensuring your pet doesn’t stay alone, if that’s okay with you. I will provide food, fresh water, walks where needed and of course, play with them. I can administer medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet owners. Cleaning out litter boxes. I’ve experience taking care of more than one pet at a time.

At short notice, I was able to book Ping Yan to look after our dog three times over half term for a full day. She was very professional, friendly and caring and I felt 100% confidence in her. She kept contact throughout the day sending videos and information about how our dog was doing, which was great. On the first day, we were stuck in London and got back much later than we had initially anticipated. Ping Yan was very understanding and kept telling us not to worry as we waited on delayed trains to get back to Cambridge. She made us feel very reassured which really helped. I can’t imagine that anyone would be anything but overjoyed at the way Ping looks after dogs so you have nothing to worry about with her. She was also very punctual whenever I texted her to say that we’d be downstairs in a few minutes to meet her.

About: I live in central Cambridge, right next to a large park, so there are plenty of opportunities for lovely walks and outdoor adventures. I’m happy to adapt to each dog’s personality and needs, whether that means going for a run together, enjoying a longer walk, playing and exploring, or simply having a relaxed day and lots of cuddles. My priority is making sure the pup feels happy, comfortable and cared for. I work remotely, which makes it easy to fit pet care into my daily routine. I can take breaks for walks, playtime, and cuddles, and I enjoy having a dog’s company during the day. Make sure the dog always has water and gets food when it’s food time. Make sure there are no items on the flow that the dog could possibly eat or destroy.

Imogen was brilliant. I was nervous to leave my 12 week puppy with someone new and she was great in helping reassure me - she let me look round her place in advance with him, she was super prompt in replying to messages and she let me know how he was doing during the day. There was another puppy there who she has been regularly looking after and he had the best day - the videos she sent me showed me how much fun he was having and how relaxed and content he was. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family and my pup Atlas can't wait to go back!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Cambridgeshire on Rover is £32.2 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,168 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in South Cambridgeshire. About 86% of South Cambridgeshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your South Cambridgeshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
