“John was fabulous and took lovely care of our dog. Pictures and updates were appreciated. He let us know how she was becoming comfortable at his home and she loved the daily walks.”

“Maggie did a wonderful job with Summer. It was reassuring to know that Summer was in a safe and happy place while we were away. I got regular updates and I know by the smile on Summer's face in the pics that she was happy with Mochi! Definitely will be returning for my future sitting needs. Thank you Maggie!”

“Jill did a fantastic job taking care of our dog. Lots of communication prior to our dog's stay and many photo updates during her stay. We will definitely use Jill again to care for our Penny.”

“Momo was relaxed when we picked him up, which is not his normal mode outside of our family. Andrew and Mariah were very communicative and professional. Very much appreciate them!”

About: I provide dedicated dog-only daycare with personalized care tailored to each dog’s energy and routine. I specialize in senior dog care — gentle walks, mobility support, medication administration, and low-impact enrichment. Dogs enjoy daily exercise, supervised play, puzzle toys, and cozy home comfort. I send prompt photo updates and detailed notes, and offer flexible scheduling to fit owners’ needs. I offer dog-only daycare for small dogs (under 25 lbs). Available Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, and weekends 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Daily routine includes morning greeting and potty break, a morning walk or play session, mid-day rest with enrichment toys, an afternoon walk/play session, feeding/medication as needed, and a final calm wind-down before pickup. Regular photo updates and notes are sent after each visit. I care for dogs in my home in a calm, dog-only daycare environment (no dog sitting in clients' homes). My household includes an easygoing 11-year-old pug, Milo, and two friendly cats, Jewel (7) and Oliver (1); all are well-socialized and tolerant of visiting small dogs. I accept only small dogs under 25 lbs with friendly, social temperaments to ensure safe, relaxed interactions. In-home routine and care: - Introductions: Gradual, supervised meet-and-greet on arrival to assess comfort and body language. - Supervision: Constant, close supervision during play with separation options (gates/rooms/crates) if any stress appears. - Exercise & enrichment: Leashed walks, short play sessions, and puzzle toys tailored to each dog’s energy level. - Rest & space: Multiple cozy resting areas and quiet time for seniors or shy dogs. Feeding & meds: Individual feeding by schedule; medication administered as directed with written instructions. - Hygiene & safety: Clean, dog-proofed spaces; fresh water always available; immediate cleanup of accidents. - Communication: Photo updates and a brief report after each day covering potty, play, meals, behavior, and any concerns. I prioritize calm, supervised socialization and a stress-free routine to make visiting dogs feel safe and happy alongside Milo, Jewel, and Oliver.
“I couldn’t possibly speak more highly of my experience with Darby and all of the effort, extra care, patience, and attention she put into caring for my brand new 1.5 year old husky rescue dog. Not only did she help me urgently but she took the time to ask me appropriate questions and listen to anything I felt was important regarding the dogs behavioral needs and flaws. From being a picky eater, mostly untrained, hyper, suffering from separation anxiety, and needing guidance to play with other dogs Darby was prepared, knowledgeable, and kind handling it all. She sent great updates with pictures included during our stay that helped bring a sense of relief to our first time using extended stay on Rover. We will be seeking out Darby’s services again in the near future for my two adult GSD mixes because I have full confidence and trust in her abilities. Finding good hearted genuine people can be quite difficult and I am so thankful we met!”
“Katey is a wonderful sitter! She is warm & welcoming and her house & yard are lovely. Our dogs felt instantly at home and when we returned it was clear they had been 100% comfortable with Katey. We cannot recommend her enough and hope to book with her again. Thanks, Katey!”

“Lauren provided me with photos, videos, and updates through my time away. She even took them to the dog park and groomed them! Ill definitely be using Lauren and Dalton again!”

“Yvonne was absolutely amazing with our high-energy lab pup, Bailey. She had so much patience and understanding, and many skills to help make for a positive and comforting stay for Bailey. I highly recommend for not only boarding but any training needs. Will be using Yvonne for all of our future boarding and training needs!”

“Michael was great! He sat and talked with us for quite a while when we first got there to make sure we felt comfortable leaving our nugget with him. He is kind, knowledge, and Nugget loved him. We are going to reach out to him to help us with some training too and we will definitely be using him for our trip next month”

“We had a great experience! Pick up and drop off were easy and convenient, and Colin communicated well throughout the stay. It made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I would happily book with him again!”

“My pup had a great stay and was well taken care of! They did a great job of accommodating his anxiety and puppy energy and their golden retriever was the perfect playmate. Great sitter that provided daily updates and cared for my dog like one of their own”

“Our dogs, Nash and Knox, seemed to have a great time with Jamie! They looked to enjoy lots of cuddles and outside time :) I really appreciate Jamie’s responsiveness and we hope to book with her again!”

“Erica was amazing and came through for a very minute request for a weeklong stay for my dog Luna. She was incredibly caring and responsive and Luna had an amazing time! Would use again in a heartbeat.”

About: I grew up always having pets in our home- dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, lizards- and have a love for all animals. I have years of experience pet sitting for all of my family and friend’s cats and dogs. I genuinely love animals and am excited for the opportunity to help other looking for reliable, trustworthy pet care! I’m currently a stay at home mom to my 3 kids, and my husband also works from home full-time. Between the two of us, there is always someone home to give pets the care and attention they need, including dauily walks and playtime. We have a fully fenced backyard and a great neighborhood for taking the dogs on walks. We have one dog of our own. He’s a 6 year old mini goldendoodle named Harley. He’s very chill and great with other dogs and loves a playmate. My three children are very gentle and good with pets and enjoying playing with the dogs as well.

About: I've had pet dogs and cats since I was ten years old. Then, my child had pets. Then, I retired and for the past 18 years I've had a Grand Cat and a Grand Dog that stayed with me when their family was away. Just as often I went to their house and house sat. Seven months ago my last grandpet died. I miss the the love I get back when they feel loved. Our home is quiet, our neighborhood is safe. Though I'm active, I'd prefer older, smaller dogs. They would need to be able to left alone for 2 to 3 hours on occassion. However, your beloved pet will seldom be alone. I'm retired and can spend lots of time with your pet. I'm active. I go to the gym have dinner with friends on occasion etc. Otherwise, I'm a home body and when your pet and I aren't taking a walk and smelling the roses, he/she will be beside me getting plenty of TLC. My yard isn't fenced, but we live in a very walkable neighborhood. I prefer smaller and/or older dogs. I'm good for three to four walks a day, 15 to 30 minutes long, depending on the weather, between 6:30am and 10pm. Your pet will share our space.

This is our 3rd time leaving Zoey with Jennifer and I truly could not say enough positive things. Zoey always comes home happy, tired and clearly well cared for! Jennifer's entire family is so sweet to our girl and we are happy to have found someone trustworthy and reliable.

I’m so glad I found Leanne! I needed a last minute sitter and she was available and very accommodating. My dog requires some extra care and Leanne provided that without hesitation. I felt immediately that my dog would be safe and comfortable in her home and she was! I will definitely book with Leanne again.

Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. We hope that she will have the availability to care from them in the near future but anticipate that she will grow in popularity due to her 1st class service!

Hazel had a great time staying with Bobbie for the weekend. Bobbie sent text and photo updates throughout the weekend and made sure Hazel had gotten energy out on a walk and went potty before I picked her up, which was very helpful. I could tell Hazel felt comfortable staying with her and would happily work with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
