“Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. We hope that she will have the availability to care from them in the near future but anticipate that she will grow in popularity due to her 1st class service!”

“Norman absolutely loved Kaela and her family! She is super accommodating, she accepted us last minute and allowed me to adjust my drop off time. I got lots of updates and pics the whole time and he slept all the way to the campsite so I know he had a great time with the kids! If your dog is good with kids I can’t recommend this family enough and will definitely be reaching out next time I’m in town!”

“Nani was well taken care of and very happy. We received pictures of her throughout our time away. Maren and Johnathan really saved our bacon by helping out last minute! Would 100% use them again!”

“My pup was so happy and calm when I picked him up from Tonya. She didn't sweat or hesitate over his special needs, checked in with me to let me know how he was doing, and sent me pictures! If I needed help with him again I would absolutely call Tonya.”

“Lisa and her family were awesome! So grateful to have someone to look after my fur baby and I know he was loved and well cared for. Great communication and really loved receiving the photos and videos while we were away. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Erica was amazing and came through for a very minute request for a weeklong stay for my dog Luna. She was incredibly caring and responsive and Luna had an amazing time! Would use again in a heartbeat.”

“Another wonderful stay with Cale. Cale thought ahead to ask how Scout would do with fireworks since it was the Fourth of July weekend. I am very appreciative of the loving care that Scout receives when she stays with him.”

“Shaylina was great with our dog. She was great at communication with lots of pictures and updates. Our dog seemed very happy. I would definitely use her again and can highly recommend her.”

“My dog Clark felt completely comfortable with Rachel and her family — which is a big deal, because he’s usually not relaxed anywhere outside our home! Rachel was incredibly welcoming when we first met her and her kids, and she kept us updated the entire time. She shared funny stories and adorable pictures of Clark that really showed how happy he was. She was also very responsive whenever I checked in. I’ll absolutely choose Rachel again as Clark’s caregiver — highly recommend! 🐾”

“They were so communicative & took such good care of our dog . She is reactive and not always the easiest and they had no issues at all. She usually always comes back anxious from sitters but this is the first time with a sitter she came back happy and content. So grateful!”

“Angela was fantastic. Our beagle (‘Buddy’) was on his own after his partner in crime (‘Frank’) passed away on Easter. We were going out of town and needed someone reliable to look after him. We couldn’t be more pleased. Will enlist Angela’s services next time we need him boarded.”

“People say they love animals, but not everyone truly does! I believe Kimberly truly loves animals. I feel she treated my puppies like they were hers. I am fairly new to leaving my girls with a sitter, Kimberly put my mind at ease. She sent a lot of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. I will have Kimberly watch Thelma and Louise anytime I need a sitter again.”

“Crystal is amazing! We totally trust her with our Coco. She keeps you informed and frankly just a super nice person. We will always use Crystal when she is available.”

“Highly recommend. They have a beautiful home with a nice, spacious backyard. Marianne and Josh are kind and have a lot of experience with dogs. With two sweet dogs of their own, my dog had built in companions while I was away. They are warm, welcoming, and sent lots of cute/funny pics & updates. Your dogs will be loved open arms. So grateful my dog could spend the holiday with such a thoughtful, warm, and fun family! Thank you so much for loving Chai!”

“Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs during a 2 week family vacation. She always treats her four legged guests as if they were her own and her care and dedication were evident during and after their stay. We have used Jennifer repeatedly for all our pet sitting needs this year and will continue to do so.”

“Jo did a great job with our dog! She sent us so many photos and updates about their day which gave us peace of mind during our trip. She was especially gracious with our dog who was experiencing some separation anxiety. Would recommend her to anyone!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Olympia
From the very first meet-and-greet, I knew my baby was in the best hands! She kept me updated with great communication and sent lots of pictures throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. This was only the second time I’ve ever left my baby with someone else, so I was naturally a little nervous. She made the entire experience so comfortable and stress-free. Thank you so much for treating my baby like the little princess she is! I could tell she was spoiled with love, attention, and wonderful care. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I will absolutely be booking with you again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and amazing Rover sitter!

Jerrie was awesome! We booked her for an extended weekend at the very very last minute (might have even been same day). She took all 3 of my little chaos causers and sent soooooo many photos. This was our first time leaving our newest addition and Jerrie really eased my mind with regular updates and quick communication. I accidentally misbooked and needed to add an extra day, Jerrie was very accommodating. I’m pretty sure our pups had a blast. Will absolutely book again. She has a huge fully fenced yard and there was a good handful of playmates for our babies this weekend. We’re so happy with this service.

We left our dog Buckey with Bradley for the night of the 4th of July, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He followed all the care instructions perfectly and took Buckey on an adventure to a dog park, sending us pictures that showed just how happy and comfortable Buckey was. Buckey got along really well with their dog, which was also amazing. The fact that Buckey didn’t try to escape tells us he felt safe and at ease. We highly recommend !

I’m so glad I found Leanne! I needed a last minute sitter and she was available and very accommodating. My dog requires some extra care and Leanne provided that without hesitation. I felt immediately that my dog would be safe and comfortable in her home and she was! I will definitely book with Leanne again.

Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. Thank you, Colin, for taking such good care of Scout. Scout was happy and relaxed when I picked him up and in the daily photo updates. It’s obvious Colin cares deeply for animals and made sure his time with Scout was packed full of park adventures. 10/10 would recommend and will book with Colin again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
