“Jill could not be better. Our little dog was right at home with her. We had regular updates that made us feel great - knowing he was in such good hands was a load off. We will absolutely book with Jill again.”
“Michael truly loves taking care of dogs and also teaching owners on understanding their best friends behavior. We'll always be a returning client. Our Abby is happy and so are we. Thank you, Michael!”

“Katey was great with my two dogs. Sent pics, videos and took them on walks to different locations. Will def book with her if we go out of town again. Thank you.”

“Leaving my girls is always nerve racking but Jordyn was so great with them. She asked all the right questions about their care and updated us on how they were doing. When we picked them up, she was so polite and thanked us for leaving them in her care. She is a sweetheart.”

“Cale and his wife are fantastic. They took the time to get to know Scout at drop-off, asking thoughtful questions about her care and preferences. During Scout’s stay, we received frequent photos of Scout getting snuggles and walks on their property. And then at drop-off they shared keen observations and details about her stay. We would book again with Cale in a heartbeat.”

“Pamela was great for Tupac. He came back happy and as himself, most importantly. In the past my dogs have seemed a bit off or too thirsty when I get them back from sitters, but not this time. She took him on a walk and supervised him in her back yard playing with her dog, so he got a good amount of exercise. She also sent updates and photos, which was very reassuring. I highly recommend Pamela. I am not a very trusting person but I feel safe with her caring for my emotional support animal. She also ensures that all animals are properly vaccinated before she agrees to sit them, which I appreciate and isn’t always the case.”

“James took amazing care of our dog Arlo over an extended weekend. James sent photos and a video. We could tell that Arlo was having a great time playing and running around with the other dogs. We felt comfortable knowing he was in a safe and comfortable home setting. We will definitely use James again in the future!”

“Sheena was awesome. She took wonderful care of our dog, Lola, and sent lots of picture updates to make sure we knew Lola was having a great time. I’d recommend Sheena to anyone in the area needing to board their fur babies.”

“Darby was amazing with our 3 frenchies. She sent updates each day. We love that they got loved on like they do at home ❤️❤️ We will definitely be using Darby again!!”

“We left Ocho with Jeremy for 3 weeks and they did great! I got updates frequently throughout our trip and could see she was in good hands and doing well. I can't wait to book Jeremy again and highly recommend his services! Thank you so much Jeremy!!”

“Highly recommend: safe and secure location, outstanding communication…daily updates and photos, only takes one client at a time, aware of current canine respiratory disease…clean and isolated space, dog door provides anytime-access to fenced back yard, easily handles food and medication requirements, their own dogs are welcoming of new pack members. Highly recommend.”

“Our dog, a golden lab, settled in almost immediately and felt right at home. Colin is easy-going and creates a very loving and safe space. Our dog loved spending the night. She got walks and time chasing a frisbee. She will be back for a longer stay.”

“Yvonne was absolutely amazing with our high-energy lab pup, Bailey. She had so much patience and understanding, and many skills to help make for a positive and comforting stay for Bailey. I highly recommend for not only boarding but any training needs. Will be using Yvonne for all of our future boarding and training needs!”

“Lisa was amazing with my little old man. She was so patient and kind. For never being boarded or anything except with immediate family, she made him feel comfortable. She was so good about keeping me posted about him regularly. I would definitely recommend!”

“Brewzer, had a great time with Jamie! I wouldn't hesitate to leave him in her care again. She sent updates and pictures of him daily. He loved her immediately :) She was very professional and took great care of our baby. Thanks for everything, Jamie!”

“Erica was amazing and came through for a very minute request for a weeklong stay for my dog Luna. She was incredibly caring and responsive and Luna had an amazing time! Would use again in a heartbeat.”

“John - what an amazing, big-hearted, caring individual. From the moment I met him, I knew my beloved Mia would be OK with him at his home. Unassuming, caring, gentle, John has a magic way with dogs. I thought Mia a little "traitor" when I saw her snuggled into John's lap while in his care for a week. I trust Mia, and her reactions, and for me, if she's happy, then we're both happy. I'll be using John as my primary and trusted partner in the future. Thank you so much John!”

“I’m new to the area and didn’t realize when booking just how far away they lived from us lol We will 100% be booking again though, even with the nearly hour drive It’s tough leaving your dog while you’re out of town but they made it so much easier, sending videos and photos of her having a great time. It was clear she was genuinely being cared for, not just somewhere with someone doing the minimum. Can’t recommend them enough”

“Jamie has watched Honey over night a few times now, she is absolutely wonderful with her and truly has a warming heart for animals. She is great with updating me throughout honey’s stay during the evening while I am at work, and will send me pictures. She has a big yard for dogs to run and play, and its fenced and gated. Jamie is so kind, I give her 5 stars, and I 100% recommend her to watch over your fur babies.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Olympia
Our dog is elderly and has several health problems. Annmarie is very kind and caring, and we felt completely comfortable leaving her in Annmarie’s care. She was attentive to her needs and treated her with warmth and compassion. We’re very grateful to have found her and will definitely book with her again in the future.
Lauren is the only person we would leave our Frenchie with for our longer vacations. It means a lot to be able to go on vacation worry free knowing my boy will be so happy! The communication is top notch and the care unmatched. You are truly gifted at caring for animals and go above and beyond every time! Thank you Lauren!

We left our dog Buckey with Bradley for the night of the 4th of July, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He followed all the care instructions perfectly and took Buckey on an adventure to a dog park, sending us pictures that showed just how happy and comfortable Buckey was. Buckey got along really well with their dog, which was also amazing. The fact that Buckey didn’t try to escape tells us he felt safe and at ease. We highly recommend !

I’m so glad I found Leanne! I needed a last minute sitter and she was available and very accommodating. My dog requires some extra care and Leanne provided that without hesitation. I felt immediately that my dog would be safe and comfortable in her home and she was! I will definitely book with Leanne again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
