“Thank you, Colin, for taking such good care of Scout. Scout was happy and relaxed when I picked him up and in the daily photo updates. It’s obvious Colin cares deeply for animals and made sure his time with Scout was packed full of park adventures. 10/10 would recommend and will book with Colin again.”

“Jordyn was awesome with our little fur baby girl. Jordyn followed instructions that we had, and gave us daily text updates on her progress. We missed our fur baby while we were gone, but weren't worried because we knew she was in good hands. We will use Jordyn's services next time, whenever necessary. Thanks Jordyn!”

“Michael accepted our last minute request and took good care of our dog Leo. He is also a professional dog trainer and gave me some advice and tips which is very useful.”

“Katey is a wonderful sitter! She is warm & welcoming and her house & yard are lovely. Our dogs felt instantly at home and when we returned it was clear they had been 100% comfortable with Katey. We cannot recommend her enough and hope to book with her again. Thanks, Katey!”

“One of our pups had a rough first impression at drop off but Cale was patient and willing to work with him. We received updates and great communication. Dogs were well cared for and happy when they came home!”

“Lauren & Dalton were fantastic with Elle! She had so much fun with them and their two dogs, and we loved receiving the daily updates with photos. They went above & beyond to give Elle just as great of a vacation with them as we had on ours.”

“Poppy and Baloo have stayed with Darby twice now. She is extremely knowledgeable, communicative, and passionate about our dogs. At this point, I would probably cancel a trip before leaving our dogs with anyone else. Darby takes the stress out of leaving our furriest friends behind when we take trips.”

“Yvonne was absolutely amazing with our high-energy lab pup, Bailey. She had so much patience and understanding, and many skills to help make for a positive and comforting stay for Bailey. I highly recommend for not only boarding but any training needs. Will be using Yvonne for all of our future boarding and training needs!”

“Jeremy was awesome!! He sent pics and videos everyday, which I loved to see how much fun they were having during their week stay! I can tell my dogs had a blast and felt comfortable in his care and had lots of fun with the other dogs as well. I definitely recommend choosing Jeremy as your pet sitter!”

“Jamie (and Ruth, Jamie's dog) were great for my pup! During the meet and greet before the stay, it was clear that Jamie knew how to take care of dogs. Ulrich is a high energy dog, but Jamie was able to engage with him and entertain him and I had no doubts that a long weekend would go well. I got updates, to include pictures from their adventures over the weekend.”

“People say they love animals, but not everyone truly does! I believe Kimberly truly loves animals. I feel she treated my puppies like they were hers. I am fairly new to leaving my girls with a sitter, Kimberly put my mind at ease. She sent a lot of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. I will have Kimberly watch Thelma and Louise anytime I need a sitter again.”

About: I grew up always having pets in our home- dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, lizards- and have a love for all animals. I have years of experience pet sitting for all of my family and friend’s cats and dogs. I genuinely love animals and am excited for the opportunity to help other looking for reliable, trustworthy pet care! I’m currently a stay at home mom to my 3 kids, and my husband also works from home full-time. Between the two of us, there is always someone home to give pets the care and attention they need, including dauily walks and playtime. We have a fully fenced backyard and a great neighborhood for taking the dogs on walks. We have one dog of our own. He’s a 6 year old mini goldendoodle named Harley. He’s very chill and great with other dogs and loves a playmate. My three children are very gentle and good with pets and enjoying playing with the dogs as well.

About: I've had pet dogs and cats since I was ten years old. Then, my child had pets. Then, I retired and for the past 18 years I've had a Grand Cat and a Grand Dog that stayed with me when their family was away. Just as often I went to their house and house sat. Seven months ago my last grandpet died. I miss the the love I get back when they feel loved. Our home is quiet, our neighborhood is safe. Though I'm active, I'd prefer older, smaller dogs. They would need to be able to left alone for 2 to 3 hours on occassion. However, your beloved pet will seldom be alone. I'm retired and can spend lots of time with your pet. I'm active. I go to the gym have dinner with friends on occasion etc. Otherwise, I'm a home body and when your pet and I aren't taking a walk and smelling the roses, he/she will be beside me getting plenty of TLC. My yard isn't fenced, but we live in a very walkable neighborhood. I prefer smaller and/or older dogs. I'm good for three to four walks a day, 15 to 30 minutes long, depending on the weather, between 6:30am and 10pm. Your pet will share our space.
“Shaylina was great with our dog. She was great at communication with lots of pictures and updates. Our dog seemed very happy. I would definitely use her again and can highly recommend her.”

“We were so pleased with Marie's time in Jamie's home. We got updates (photos and a video) and communication was top notch! Our pup is usually anxious when away from home but she settled right in and we are already booking our next stay. I can not recommend Jamie enough! Thank you for watching Marie!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Olympia
We left our dog Buckey with Bradley for the night of the 4th of July, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He followed all the care instructions perfectly and took Buckey on an adventure to a dog park, sending us pictures that showed just how happy and comfortable Buckey was. Buckey got along really well with their dog, which was also amazing. The fact that Buckey didn’t try to escape tells us he felt safe and at ease. We highly recommend !

I’m so glad I found Leanne! I needed a last minute sitter and she was available and very accommodating. My dog requires some extra care and Leanne provided that without hesitation. I felt immediately that my dog would be safe and comfortable in her home and she was! I will definitely book with Leanne again.

Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. We hope that she will have the availability to care from them in the near future but anticipate that she will grow in popularity due to her 1st class service!

Hazel had a great time staying with Bobbie for the weekend. Bobbie sent text and photo updates throughout the weekend and made sure Hazel had gotten energy out on a walk and went potty before I picked her up, which was very helpful. I could tell Hazel felt comfortable staying with her and would happily work with her again!

Thank you, Colin, for taking such good care of Scout. Scout was happy and relaxed when I picked him up and in the daily photo updates. It’s obvious Colin cares deeply for animals and made sure his time with Scout was packed full of park adventures. 10/10 would recommend and will book with Colin again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
