I've had pet dogs and cats since I was ten years old. Then, my child had pets. Then, I retired and for the past 18 years I've had a Grand Cat and a Grand Dog that stayed with me when their family was away. Just as often I went to their house and house sat. Seven months ago my last grandpet died. I miss the the love I get back when they feel loved. Our home is quiet, our neighborhood is safe. Though I'm active, I'd prefer older, smaller dogs. They would need to be able to left alone for 2 to 3 hours on occassion. However, your beloved pet will seldom be alone.

She took great care of our dogs and home while we were away. She kept us updated, followed instructions, and made sure the pups were comfortable and well cared for. Gloria and I have been together for 43 years. In that time, we have had pets, both cats and dogs. They were always a part of our family, and we have enjoyed them all. Gloria usually took the lead and made sure our pets were well cared for and loved. She loved "grand dog sitting" for her daughter, but her "grand dog" died recently and it left an empty place in her heart. Gloria would be an excellent caregiver for someone's cat or dog. She is highly responsible when it comes to feeding, watering, walking and loving pets. She cared for our dog Alice for her entire life, from a rambunctious little pup all the way to a sweet old girl of 14 years, and the bond they shared was something truly special. Alice absolutely adored her. Maria has a gift for making dogs feel completely at ease. She gave Alice endless pets and snuggles, chatted with her throughout the day, took her on walks whenever Alice signaled she was ready, and was always incredibly attentive to her needs and moods. She didn't just watch Alice, she genuinely treasured her and the feeling was mutual. As a pet parent, I never had a moment of worry. We could leave Alice with her for extended periods of time. Maria is warm, responsible, communicative, and deeply caring. Any dog would be lucky to spend time in her hands, and any pet parent would be lucky to have her.

Schedule
I'm retired and can spend lots of time with your pet. I'm active. I go to the gym have dinner with friends on occasion etc. Otherwise, I'm a home body and when your pet and I aren't taking a walk and smelling the roses, he/she will be beside me getting plenty of TLC.

Safety, trust & environment
My yard isn't fenced, but we live in a very walkable neighborhood. I prefer smaller and/or older dogs. I'm good for three to four walks a day, 15 to 30 minutes long, depending on the weather, between 6:30am and 10pm. Your pet will share our space.
