“Kana and her husband are WONDERFUL people! They took great care of Piper and he appeared to have loved his time there. We live out of state and I was worried about who I got and how Piper would like them, I was so happy I chose them! They have a great yard to let the dogs run and all is very well kept and clean. I would not hesitate to use Kana again if we are ever in the area! Thanks for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Amanda kept me informed with updates and a lot of pictures. It was the longest I have ever left my dog (10 days) and I felt very comfortable having her at her home.”

“David was great with my emotionally needy pup and clearly understood dog dynamics. Seeing Delta and another dog snuggle up together was not something I had expected to see pictures of, but she seemed to do well when left with a stranger for a week.”

“Took excellent care of our active young dog. Sent photos and videos daily. He definitely had a good time playing with her dogs! Thank you for all your help while we were away!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Frank Johnson!! He had fun and made friends with both her dogs and her other vacay dogs. She made him feel right at home. She sent us update pictures and texts so we knew he was having a blast! We could relax and enjoy ourselves, knowing he was in good hands. Mahalo!”

“Dee Anne is such a sweetheart and we're so grateful for how she takes care of Max! He is so excited to spend time with her with all the quality play time and rest and adventures they have. It's a little vacation for him to stay with Dee Anne when we can't take him out of town with us and it's so meaningful to us that she's so genuinely loving, thoughtful, and kind!”

“Lizzy was more amazing than I can put into words! She took such good care of Tommy and made me feel so comfortable by sending me lots of pics and updates. She took Tommy and her dogs to the dog park every day to get out energy. It felt like he was at summer camp! She even let Tommy sleep in the bed with her. I will definitely use her as my sitter from now on!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Sussie gave our Schnauzer, Oliver! 🐾 She sent us daily pictures of him enjoying walks and playtime with his toys, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Her young daughter also spent lots of time playing with Oliver—we honestly couldn’t tell who was having more fun, him or her! It was wonderful to see how loved and entertained Oliver was. We highly recommend Sussie as a fantastic Rover sitter—your pup will be in excellent hands!”

“Kristin is amazing! Left our 2 Frenchies with her for 5 days and they had a great time. Kristin was very flexible with our drop off and pick up times, great communicator, and sent us daily photos and updates. I’m so happy we found someone in completely comfortable to leave our babies with. 🥰”

“We received daily updates and pictures of Chewy which we really appreciated. Keep was also very responsive to questions, and promptly communicated, which put our minds at ease. Chewy looked brushed, and even smelled good when picked her up. Overall experience was so much better than boarding her at a kennel!”

“This was our first time using Rover, Darby was very sweet and took great care of our dogs , we would 110% use her service again. My dogs enjoyed exploring her property during the day and getting snuggly in the evenings. Thank you Darby!”

“Fawn was great with Lola. My wife was a little nervous leaving the pup for 9 days. Wide open space for her to run and Lola and a companion to play with to boot. We really appreciated the daily photos.”

“Lahela was very helpful and amazing with Milo! Took great care of him and sent many pictures. She also was very flexible with many schedule changes on my end! She is a very thoughtful and great dog sitter! Very clearly loves to take of your puppers! I recommend highly!”
About: I grew up always having pets in our home- dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, lizards- and have a love for all animals. I have years of experience pet sitting for all of my family and friend’s cats and dogs. I genuinely love animals and am excited for the opportunity to help other looking for reliable, trustworthy pet care! I’m currently a stay at home mom to my 3 kids, and my husband also works from home full-time. Between the two of us, there is always someone home to give pets the care and attention they need, including dauily walks and playtime. We have a fully fenced backyard and a great neighborhood for taking the dogs on walks. We have one dog of our own. He’s a 6 year old mini goldendoodle named Harley. He’s very chill and great with other dogs and loves a playmate. My three children are very gentle and good with pets and enjoying playing with the dogs as well.

Taylor was absolutely fantastic! We boarded our German Shepherd with her for 16 days while we took an extended trip. She communicated with us frequently to let us know how he was doing and sent many pictures, which we greatly appreciated. We will absolutely book with her again.

Serenity-Lashae was a phenomenal sitter. She was super prompt on responding to my last minute request. Super easy to communicate with and flexible. She took the best care of my gentle *giant* fur son. I think he wanted to stay longer! She treated him like her own family and I felt he was in safe and secure hands. She asked and took care of all his needs and provided updates and photos. I will definitely be using her again. Thank you for taking great care of Kai!
Caitlyn and her pack are always amazing! She provided tons of pictures and videos throughout our dog's stay. Specifically she was super kind and mindful of our dog's separation anxiety. Caitlyn, thank you for letting Marco join your pack and I know he's already looking forward to coming over again!

Alexis took such great care of our dogs, Nami and Natsumi. She was incredibly thoughtful and made sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We loved receiving daily updates and photos, which showed how happy and relaxed our dogs were. Knowing they were in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind. We are very grateful for her care and would absolutely trust her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
