About: I grew up loving and caring for animals. I had dogs, cats, and even parrots growing up. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and have experience pet sitting for various friends and family. I used to volunteer with the Humane Society where I walked dogs and helped work play groups which helped the dogs gain social skills and helped them to get adopted. I currently volunteer with a statewide animal rescue organization doing technical animal rescues which include rescuing dogs, cats, birds, horses, and, on occasion, certain exotic animals. Our most common rescues include dogs that fall down cliffs and horses that are cast in their stalls and can't get up or are otherwise stuck and require assistance getting back up. I love getting to work with all sorts of animals and have learned a lot from the other volunteers which include EMTs, Firefighters, and Veterinarians. I work remotely from home so my schedule is very flexible and I'll have plenty of time to look after your beloved pets! I can easily stop by and check on them at your home as often as you'd like. I also love being outside so going on multiple walks a day would be a joy for me. I have years of experience with dogs and I also had cats growing up too. I do not currently have any pets living with me so your pet with have my undivided love and attention. I am able to maintain any schedules you keep for your pets such as when to feed them and any medications they might need to take. I'm certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and work with animals regularly due to my work in animal rescue so you can rest assured that your furbabies will be in good hands!

About: Ive taken care of all sorts of dogs and cats over the years be it mine or a friend's or families. I water and feed and play with them. Im a pro at getting the dogs to go potty within a really good time frame. Dogs and cats love me and I love them. I dont work or anything, so im always free to give your animals love and affection, walks, play, etc. I just want them to be happy and well cared for and thats exactly what I strive to achieve! I live in an apartment and the door is always locked at all times. The animals here are very happy and are very well fed and taken care of with lots of play and affection.

About: Since childhood I’ve enjoyed being around all pets and animals. I pet sit and house sit for friends and neighbors regularly. I work from home. I provide Reiki as well. If they want to go for a fun walk, swim, park or chill out snuggling then I’m flexible. Many dogs and cats that have a hard time socializing, eating, anxiety, I find ways to connect. My goal is to bring calm and support to what the animal needs while separated from their main caretaker. *I love large animals but unfortunately cannot accept requests right now for large dogs. I have experience in giving medication‘s our youngest Corso (Bronx) was a rescue and had a rotting ear. We had to apply and give him medication 3x a day. Madisyn was absolutely AMAZING! This was my first time using Rover. We usually boarded our shepherds and had someone look after my old man. We lost one of shepherds suddenly in December so our situation changed. My dogs are my life and my old man is 13 years old and I know I don’t have long left with him. I am very protective over my dogs and knowing I have a senior dog made me so nervous. After I first met Madisyn she put my worries to ease and then continued the whole time we were gone. She went above and beyond what was asked of her. She always communicated and sent pictures. Even though she didn’t know my dogs she treated them like they were her own. It made my heart happy and I am so appreciative and thankful for Madisyn. She was truly a blessing to me and my dogs ❤️❤️❤️
Ami was an amazing sitter for our two cats and chickens. She was very kind, patient and showed me immediately she was excited to care for my pets. She sent tons of photos and had great communication if she had any questions or responding to us. My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her.
