“Julie was awesome! She tired our dogs out during her drop ins and sent lots of updates and pictures. I felt relaxed during my time away knowing she was taking such good care of them :) We will definitely have her watch our pups again in the future! Thanks Julie!”

“Amanda was FABULOUS at watching our two pups while we were away for a trip! Between the detailed updates, pictures, walks and even helping water the flowers at home, she did everything I could’ve wanted! I know our dogs enjoyed her coming over and spending time with them and giving them much needed snuggles. We will absolutely be booking with Amanda again in the future!”

“Sarah is a wonderful sitter! Booked her for two drop-ins with walks and my dogs absolutely loved her. One of my dogs is a little older and requires medication and she was very gentle getting her to take it. She’s very communicative throughout. Absolutely recommend Sarah!”

“Lorie is the absolute best! We were away for 15 days and it was hard to be away that long. But because of Lorie, we were able to travel without worry. Communication is great and she really loves the cats. We are so lucky that she is our sitter!”

“Sara is awesome! She came by for a meet & greet with us and our 2 dogs prior to official booking. We then booked her for a drop-in visit with Otis & Lily. They enjoyed their playtime, treats and snuggles, and she sent us the best photos. I can tell they are happy with Sara! She is very kind and trustworthy. We have already booked her again for house/dog sitting while we are away for a weekend.”

“Ashley did great with our two high energy dogs (labradoodle & black lab)! Really appreciated her detailed report on the drop-in and how they did during her visit. Will hire again for drop-in visits and dog care when needed!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes for over 10 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I’m experienced with puppies, senior dogs, and those needing a little extra patience and care. Whether it’s playtime, training support, or simply keeping your pet comfortable, I make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and part of the family. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to spend quality time with your pets. I’m available for boarding on weekends and for walks, drop-ins, or playtime during weekdays after work hours. Your pet’s routine and comfort are my top priority, so I make sure to adjust my schedule to meet their needs. I have a secure fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love making new friends. Safety is always my first priority, so I supervise playtime closely and can crate your pup if needed. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing a safe, loving, and structured environment so you can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: I'm more than a quick potty-break sitter. I love giving dogs exercise, enrichment, and fun outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. I frequently visit Tolmie State Park, where dogs can enjoy wooded trails, new scents, and beachside walks. Whether your pup loves exploring, playing, or simply getting extra attention, I'll provide personalized care and regular updates so you can feel confident while you're away. My availability is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM–12:00 AM. Weekend availability varies, so please feel free to reach out with your requested dates and times. I do my best to accommodate flexible scheduling whenever possible. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I treat every animal like a member of my own family. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, small reptiles and pet birds. I understand that every animal has its own personality, needs, and comfort level, and I take the time to build trust with each pet. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection through walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. For cats, I focus on maintaining a calm environment while providing companionship, play, and routine care. For birds, I ensure fresh food and water, clean living spaces, enrichment, and safe, attentive handling when appropriate. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos to give pet parents peace of mind while they're away. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for every pet in my care.
“Tiffany & Tiara are great sitters! We could tell our pets were well cared for and had a great time! This was our first time using Rover and they helped us understand the process and put us at ease. Highly recommend having these two for your pet needs.”

About: I have worked for about 6 months in a doggy daycare facility, where I was able to enjoy keeping our customers fur babies happy and safe. Before that I was also volunteering at a private doggy daycare facility in Ireland, where I spent a few months taking care of all kind of dog breeds. In addition my husband and I welcomed two puppies beginning of last year. Meanwhile they are both about 1 year, so if your pet should stay with us, they will have lots of play time with them :) I'm currently taking this semester off, so I have lots of free time to spent with your loving fur babies. I'm available most of the time, so just sent me a message. I will follow all rules and instructions you give me regarding your pet, anything outside of your guidelines, I will treat your pet like I would want someone to treat mine, with love and care.
About: Experienced and caring, I love animals. Personalized attention, gentle guidance, and plenty of affection because your pets deserve the nurturing care that you give, even when you are not there. I had dogs growing up and used to dog/cat sit a lot in college. I am around horses, cats and dogs all the time, but we don't have them at home. I look forward to meeting you and your pets because it brightens up my day and is a fun activity. I work from home a couple days and am home on the weekends. I am available very early in the mornings and most evenings to walk or quick check-ins. I can watch animals in your home and will provide feeding and grooming as well. I can give time to exercise and play if that is needed.
“Lisa definitely lived up to the other glowing reviews. She visited our house daily to feed, water and take care of the litter box for our two cats. She is reliable and even made friends with our often-shy Siamese kitty. We appreciated the daily pictures and reports cards while we were away on our week-long trip. We would highly recommend Lisa for your away pet-sitting needs! Hopefully she will still be providing here excellent services the next time we take a trip to visit family.”

“I can't say thank you enough to Makaila for being so warm and welcoming especially for my first time using Rover. I was very anxious about a stranger being in our home visiting our 13y/o female Keeshond but I also couldn't imagine her being around a bunch of strange people and other dogs like what you'd get at a kennel/boarding house. Makaila was so patient with all my questions, concerns and requests. And my dog liked Makaila instantly at our meet and greet (as did my cats and 5y/o son!) I highly recommend her services to anyone. I know we look forward to having her care for our pets in the future.”

Once again, Sara did a great job. She made sure to go through our requests and complete as much as she could in the limited time that we had booked (my mistake; I underestimated the time needed). She prioritized our girls' social enrichment and their feeding schedules. She's a wonderful communicator and really takes care of our fur babies as if they're her own. As well as getting the *best* photos of any pet she's taking care of. Sara makes great decisions about our pets' health and care when we're unreachable, and she left our home cleaner than when she arrived (our cats are messy eaters, lol). I always greatly appreciate the effort and love she puts into caring for our beloved girls.

We have been repeat clients of Fawn from house sitting for a week at a time to drop in visits for our high energy dogs (Rottweiler and American Bully). She loves our animals like her own, always shows up on time, and is in constant communication with us not only words but with pictures too when we are away. She gives us a great sense of security when our babies are in her care, especially since they adore her. We highly recommend her for your pet’s needs.

Our girls looked as though they had a great time with Rachel, the pictures she sent were great! Rachel picked up right where she left off since the last time she was with Millie & Minnie. We had a great time in Seattle because Rachel cared for them today. She’s in such high demand, I just hope she’s available the next time we need her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
