“Dealing with Nadia was a delight. She is easygoing, professional and quite nice. She dealt very well with our dog and our dog did excellent with her. We will certainly be booking her services again and we are very grateful.”

“Leo has been taking our dog on midday walks twice a week for the past few months. He is unfailingly reliable, communicative and responsive. He lets us know if he is going to be even a few minutes later than usual, even though our dog is low-maintenance and large-bladdered! Leo has given us lots of advance notice on the rare occasion when he was not available for a regular walk (e.g., at the holidays). And he's an all-around nice guy. It gives us great comfort to know that our Jake is getting such excellent care.”

Im new to rover but am very curious and excited. I love all furry Babies; young, old, sick, or healthy they’ll receive care and attention. I’m a full time student and i am available most dates, but just let me know 48 hours before. Weekends are Guaranteed for my availability. Big back yard but not fenced. Surrounded by open fields but am quite a distance from any busy roads. Pet proofed from and clean from any small objects your pets might find interesting.
About: I have a lifetime of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other small animals! I love all animals and will take care of your fur babies like my own! I’m a teacher and work M-F during the school year and am available for overnight stays, before school, or after school. In the summer I am available throughout the day. “Joseph M was great with Diego and Daisy. He has a great manner with the dogs. He was reliable and sent regular, detailed updates. We will use him again in a heartbeat.”

About: Currently my brother and I are working from home and don't mind having your dog here to accompany us. We love furry guests! I've had/watched dogs all my life ranging from teacups to great Danes, we love them all! Working from home 5 days a week (introverts for sure) we are available most week days and weekends. Our morning and afternoon walks for its nothing to add your fur baby! We have pups and dislike crates so I let them roam the house. If the house is too foreign I will limit them to the room im occupying with occasional backyard fun and 20/30 min walks. I also send pics daily/hourly depending on owners comfort level.
About: I have cared for pets since I was a child. We've had our own fur babies and also fostered many rescues from the street. I did this especially when we lived in Morocco and Jordan, where many stray animals could be found lost in the streets. Over these years I have learned to understand animals and notice their personality traits and quirks. I love them all! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I am often also available on short notice. I am willing to keep pets at my home or come to yours. I have a cat but she is very friendly and easy going with dogs. If a dog or cat I am caring for needs some space or if they don't get along I keep my cat upstairs, and put up a baby gate if needed.
“Nutmeg loves Jordyn! She was immediately comfortable with her, and the photos and video from their first walk together make me confident that I’ll be booking with Jordyn in the future ❤️”

“This was the first time I booked Natalia to walk my pup. She was very easy to coordinate with and sent me a couple of photos of their walk. I would definitely book her again.”

“Elina is walking my dog, Pomme, on a weekly basis and she has been amazing. She's always on time, communicative, and is able to get a sometimes stubborn pup to take a walk and use the bathroom. She also is genuinely excited to hang out with Pomme!”

About: What sets me apart is my endless patience and keen attention to detail—I treat every pet like they're my own. When I'm not spoiling my own kitties, you'll find me behind the camera, snapping cat photos to help them find their forever homes. Rest assured, I'll share the best update pictures of your fur babies while you're away. I work full-time but am mostly home-based, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention and care for your pets throughout the day. Whether it's drop-ins, walking, or just taking a break to give your furry friend some love, I'm here to ensure they're happy and comfortable. Available on weekdays and weekends! Drop-In Visits / House Sitting: When visiting your home, I’ll ensure your pet has fresh food and water, take them out for a walk or let them out for a bathroom break, and spend quality time playing or cuddling with them. I treat your home with care and your pet like family.
“Delaina was late, but she communicated well and took good entertaining photos of my doggos. She must have been great, because my spouse said they were so confused when she left. They thought she was part of our family so she was dog on approved! Thanks girl!”

From HUGE St Bernard’s and German shepherd’s, to Pomeranians and Yorkipoos! I’m a college student on summer break, so the sky is the limit! My schedule is extremely flexible, and I will be happy to discuss that further with you. Unfortunately, I do not offer boarding services at this time. I am familiar and experienced taking precautionary measures to keep your fur baby safe and happy home and in public spaces.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Takoma Park
Jennifer took care of our dog Iris while we were away. Iris was recovering from an injury and she was careful and sent feedback on her progress. In the middle of the trip I asked Jennifer to look after the many plants around the house (we were housesitting even more plants for our daughter). She helped us out with that too! (No small task for our mini jungle.)

We went on vacation for a week and were so happy to find Jonathan. He was very responsive and made sure our dog was well taken care of. He sent us photos and videos of her walks and the time he spent with her. This helped to assure us that she wasn’t lonely while we were gone. He was also extremely flexible and we were able to add on services at the last minute. Thanks so much! We would definitely book with Jonathan in the future.

Katherine was super communicative and took great pictures of our Dog Bella on her daily walks and left wonderfully detailed reports. It really put my mind at ease to get her walk alert and updates every day. She also met with us first for a meet and greet and asked a lot of wonderful questions, some I didn’t even think about.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
