“Anita is a very wonderful sitter, took care of my doggo like her own, played with her when he did not want to walk, gave him home made food and took him on long walks. She shared lots of updates too.”

“Riitta did a fantastic job, she sent me updates and pictures and made my dog feel so welcomed and happy. My dog is not the easiest dog, and Riitta went above and beyond. We love Riitta, she is the absolute best and sweetest woman out there! Thanks again Riitta!!!”

“Katie treated our dog Wesley like her own. She shared lots of pictures of him happy and having fun. She showed him lots of care and affection. She was also responsive and flexible when I made a mistake with the booking dates, and jumped in quickly to make sure our dog Wesley had care.”

“Cynthia and her dogs were so friendly and caring. My husband and I are going on a trip and this was a trial run to make sure our beagle pup Angel was comfortable and adjusts well with them. We know Angel is a handful especially being a curious sniffing pup and this was our first time having her stay with someone else overnight so my husband and I were worried on how she would do. Cynthia took pictures and videos of Angel throughout the stay and we felt relieved to know Angel enjoyed herself!”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my Yorkie with Margaret, she took excellent care of him. It was nice receiving updates on how he was doing, I will definitely be asking her to watch him again.”

“My dogs mean everything to me and it can be difficult to find a dog sitter who understands the assignment. Allison understood the assignment. My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesn’t take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She was also flexible in drop off time as I had a brain fart when initially booking the stay. I will definitely choose Allison again for future stays!”

“Charlie's second stay with Marlene was even better than his first - He came home happy and completely POOPED out from having too much fun ! Thank you, Marlene for the care you provide. I am completely as ease knowing Charlie is in your care.”

“We are so delighted to write a glowing review for Kelsey, our incredible puppy sitter. She took care of our beloved puppy for a whole week, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kelsey went above and beyond, sending us regular updates and adorable pictures of our puppy, making us feel connected and reassured throughout our time away. Our puppy felt so comfortable and loved in her care, as if she was right at home. We are truly grateful for Kelsey's dedication, warmth, and attention to our precious pet. We highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a caring and reliable puppy sitter. Thank you, Kelsey, for providing such outstanding care to our furry family member!”

“Li is amazing with my two boys! She sends lots of pictures and I know my dogs are in such good hands. I have used her three times and she is fabulous. I highly recommend her!”

“Mary was amazing with my pups and took intentional time to make sure they were both acquainted with the space before slowly introducing them to other pups. She kept me updated with progress photos and messages throughout their stay, which I really appreciated. Communication was smooth from start to finish, and she was incredibly kind, attentive, and caring with my boys. I would absolutely recommend”

“We knew our dog was in good hands when we left for a long vacation. Our dog squeals with joy when seeing Amber & Barb. We appreciate & highly recommend Amber & Barb. Julie & Randy”

“Sukanya is amazing. She cared for my girl, Ivy as if she was her own. She cooked for her and spoiled her in all positive ways. She sent pictures and videos daily, sometimes twice daily. She messaged the same and kept me informed of everything. She treated Ivy like family. I had no concerns, if anything, I had great peace of mind to know that Ivy was being so well cared for. Honestly, I can’t say enough good about Ivy’s stay. Ivy will stay with her again.”
“Teanna is a gem! She took good care of Rosie; communicates often, regular activity/exercise, and lots of love/attention. Our dog was very happy and relaxed when she came home :). Also appreciate Teanna’s flexible style with an early AM drop off and later evening pick up. Would highly recommend! She has a wonderful style and very sweet with our dog….”

“Tunyi's was so far the best to board our dog and we have tried multiple dogsitters near us. She shared so many videos and pictures of our dog even without us requesting. Our dog seemed happy, comfortable and well taken care of. We will definitely consider Tunyi to watch our dog should we need help again in the future.”

“Alexa was a fantastic care taker to my two border collies. I got frequent pictures and videos and it was clear my dogs settled in early! They were right at home. Alexa was incredibly communicative throughout their stay and I would absolutely use her again in the future. Your pets would be lucky to stay with her!”

“Henry has a great time with Zuzu and Kai! It's great to have another dog that looks just like him to play with. They love playing tug-o-war together. Kai took lots of pictures and videos and Henry looked like he was having fun each day.”

“Nicole was great! Not only was this a last minute reservation, she welcomed my 2 small dogs to her home and family. Nicole was terrific with her communication. She sent pictures and videos daily.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Snohomish
Kwame was a great sitter for Apollo. He was communicative up front and was open to meeting with us and our dog ahead of the scheduled stay. During the meet and greet he was clear about how he would help care for Apollo and made sure to ask for any special care needs that he might have (he doesn't but still noteworthy). We picked up Apollo and he seemed really content staying with Kwame. Would definitely book again.

Jill and Aaron are phenomenal sitters! Since it was Socks's first time at boarding, we really wanted him to be comfortable, and they absolutely pampered him. They kept him cool, let him take his essential midday naps, and gave him all the belly rubs he could ask for. The constant photo updates of him slowly taking over their patio furniture completely made our day. Thank you both for treating our special boy like family!

Jim and Cara, the perfect “resort” vacation for my 2 Springer Spaniels! Beautiful big grassy fenced yard, 2 laid back doggies of their own. (I hate to leave such a stellar review, because I want them just for us!) but they where the best!! Lots of photos, excellent communication, so kind and friendly! I will definitely use Jim & Cara again next time I need Rosie & Clyde to stay behind! They absolutely loved it there!! Thanks again Jim and Cara!! Perfection!! 🐶🐶🤗

Kristina and her mom are the absolute best!! They took care of Ollie for 3 weeks when we were traveling abroad. We were so worried at the first as Ollie is not used to staying away from us and needs lots of attention. They know exactly how to handle your per!! They shared updates regularly. They gave so much love and care for Ollie, went way above and beyond with their care. I feel so relieved to have found the best sitter ever!! Love them!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
