“Kyla and Nick were awesome. My Griffin is a 1 year old, high energy puppy with a mischievous streak. They were wonderful with Griffin checked in and sent pictures a couple of times a day. I would absolutely book with them again.”

“The girls had a great time with Elana! We got periodic photo updates during their stay which was a sweet touch. They also came back ready for a nap so I'm sure they got some good walks.”

“Very happy with our in home boarding stay. She was very friendly and quick to respond to anything I asked. Our dog has come home happy and tired from all the fun he was having. She provided pictures and videos showing how he spent his day. I highly recommend.”

“Jiahna was amazing with our very anxious dog, Hunter! Jiahna was great about communicating with me how Hunter was doing. I loved all the pictures of him playing in her beautful yard. She also has a great dog named Kaos who I know made Hunter feel a lot more comfortable.”

“Our frequently anxious Mochi seemed relaxed when we dropped him off for his second stay with Linda. She sent daily photo updates, which reassured us that he was enjoying a peaceful getaway. We're grateful to Linda for creating a true home away from home for Mochi.”

“Jeremy was wonderful. He took great care of Maisie. He went above and beyond to make her comfortable in his home with his family and other pets. Excellent communication and lots of pictures.”

“I would recommend Marlene. It is clear that she has a heart for dogs and caring for them. I felt that my dog received quality care while with Marlene. I will definitely use her again.”

“Michelle took outstanding care of Cosmo. You can tell she loves dogs and has a great setup to care for them. She gave great updates and shared plenty of pictures that showed that Cosmo was very happy. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Amy was AMAZING! She sent daily texts and photos of our dog. She was super flexible with drop off and pick up times. I hate having to leave my dog, but Amy made me feel so comfortable. She made it so I could really enjoy my sister's wedding weekend and not have to worry about my fur baby. I normally hesitate at family vacations, because it means having no one left to watch the dog. Now that we know Amy, I won't hesitate at all.”

“Izzy had a wonderful time with Mary. She hadn’t seen Mary for awhile but obviously remembered her because she was jumping and super excited to see her and go into the house.”

About: I’ve had and taken care of pets for most of my life. I’m always sensitive to each individual pet. Very tuned in to the comfort of the pet. My friends and family always come to me first for their pet care needs. I’m readily available because I’m recently retired. No time restrictions anymore. Happy to be available last minute or long term. Would love spending my newly found free time with your pet. I think spending time with pets in their familiar environment creates far less stress for the pet. Familiar smells and their own space makes for a much better experience for all.
“Anita is a very wonderful sitter, took care of my doggo like her own, played with her when he did not want to walk, gave him home made food and took him on long walks. She shared lots of updates too.”

“Great stay with Monica and Scott! Lots of updates, cute photos, cuddles and great walks! Our pup can be a bit slow-to-warm up and Monica does a great job making her feel comfortable and happy, which keeps us happy and enjoying our vacation.”

About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. I am married and may request my spouse be allowed to stay with me or drop by in longer term sitting situations. Whether it’s a walk or a week together I’ll try to treat your pet with the same care and attention you would. Allowing you to feel comfortable while you are away. As a pet sitter I try not to disrupt your furry family member’s typical schedule as much as possible. Pet care is very individual so I try to conform to what that pet is familiar with to minimize anxiety for them, while making sure their basic needs are met.
“Sheri was great! They responded fast and sent updates throughout the day. Prior plans fell through so it was kind of last minute and they were fantastic with both my dogs.”

“AJ was great with our dog. He was very communicative. Sending videos and pictures was great. Was so much better for our dog to be in AJ’s home instead of boarding at a kennel. Will definitely use AJ again.”

The median cost per night for pet boarding in Marysville is $60

Kyla & Nicholas are amazing! They took wonderful care of my pup Nala and sent me lots of pictures and updates over the weekend she stayed at their house . They took her on walks , played with her and gave her lots of snuggles . My dog didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. Would definitely recommend!

Jacob was great with our dog! He was very professional and met us before hand. He sent us updates and photos. Our very needy black lab was so well taken care, I’m not sure he was glad to come home! We will definitely book Jacob again and recommend to anyone who has a dog that just really needs attention from people!

I cannot recommend Kristin enough. I was honestly very scared to try another sitter because of a previous bad experience, but from the moment we did the meet and greet, Sunny liked them right away, and that gave me so much peace of mind. They took exceptional care of my Sunny and treated her with love and attention. I received daily updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while we were away. My Sunny were relaxed, happy, and clearly adored the time with them. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly caring, Kristin is perfect choice!!!.

We are very happy with Art watching our pup while we are gone and our pup enjoys his stay. Art is very good at communicating and we really enjoy the updates. Art genuinely cares about dogs and we know that our pup is in good hands. Highly recommend Art to watch your furry family members.

This was a great first experience on Rover! We took a two week trip to Japan, Vietnam, and Taiwan and Allison and Carson were fantastic. They sent pictures and updates and overall they just inspired a lot of confidence that our dog was in great hands. They made the process simple and easy and were super flexible about our arrival and departure times. They clearly love and care about animals and hands down will be the first folks we check in with to see if they are available for future trips. 10/10 - will book again.

Samantha was awesome. She boarded my dog for 7 days. My sweet very active boy is only six months old and when I asked her to babysit him, he was wearing a cone because he had just got neutered. She didn’t hesitate to take him on and did try to speak to him in German, because that’s the language he’s been trained in. She is a good communicator and did send pictures. I will ask her to sit again. It was very sweet when we left her little girl told my dog that she loved him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
