“Jiahna is exceptional when it comes to caring for dogs—highly experienced, professional, and truly knowledgeable. My dog, Sasha, is a rescue with a history of trauma, which has made her anxious and wary of strangers. Despite this, Jiahna handled her with remarkable skill and patience, using a variety of techniques tailored to dogs like Sasha. I’ve tried several dog caretakers in the past, but none have matched Jiahna’s level of expertise, especially in dealing with anxious or special-needs dogs. She kept me updated regularly, sent photos, and clearly treated Sasha with genuine care and attention. Sasha had a wonderful time not only with Jiahna but also with her Rottweiler, Kaos. It was heartwarming to see Sasha enjoy playtime and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment. I highly recommend Jiahna to anyone looking for expert care, especially for dogs with unique challenges. I will definitely continue using her services for Sasha in the future.”

“I'm so glad I found this place. I've never left my dog with anyone before. He really doesn't like being away from us for even a few hours. I had a 3day trip this week, I left my dog Bear with Marlene all three days. Marlene and her husband are friendly, respectful and detailed in their care. They have a beautiful home with a yard. I would definitely use their service again.”

“Very happy with our in home boarding stay. She was very friendly and quick to respond to anything I asked. Our dog has come home happy and tired from all the fun he was having. She provided pictures and videos showing how he spent his day. I highly recommend.”

“Hayley was such a life saver. She took the best care of my 2 pups when we had to fly out and kept us updated :). She was also so flexible with the timing :) definitely recommend!”

“A wonderful pet sitter! Very communicative and warm. She was able to accommodate our last minute request, sent us updates and photos of our doggy while we were away, which was very reassuring, and she was flexible and understanding when our ferry delayed our pickup time by almost an hour. We would recommend her and be happy to have her care for our pup again in the future.”

“We could not have asked for a better experience with leaving our 2 dogs with a new person, in a new environment, for the very first time! Our dogs instantly took to Jacob and I was very comfortable leaving them with him. Jacob was awesome with communication and always quick with responding. We are impressed!”

“Michelle was amazing! We loved getting update photos throughout our dogs stay, and loved hearing how loved he was while we were gone. We’ll be using Michelle for future trips!!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets... I'm currently working full time remotely, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your furs! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 5PM I have a fenced yards and I don't have any dogs that I keep, so I can easily crate your dogs if needed to do
About: I have grown up around animals my whole life (farm animals included!) I currently own a corgi who is very loved and spoiled. I am an avid walker and would love to burn some energy on a walk with your pup! I work a full time job but have availability after work and also reliable transportation. My nights and weekends usually consist of snuggling up and reading a good book. My only responsibility is my cat Bleu. 😊 Your home is a safe space for your animals so I will be sure to adapt to their routine and make them feel comfortable while you’re away.
“Another great stay with Monica! Great communication, lots of fun photos. Reassuring to know our dog is having a fun and safe time while we are away! Thanks again Monica!”

“They were wonderful with our little pomeranian. I was worried about leaving her overnight because she gets separation anxiety, but they sent me lots of videos and pictures and it looks like she had a blast! I would definitely recommend them, they are such a kind and caring couple.”

“I would recommend Fiorella!! I received daily updates about my cat Lilah and how she was adapting. We were away for many days and it felt like we left Lilah in great hands. Great energy. Thanks!”

“Crystal was very communicative. She met with me & my dog ahead of time to make sure people & animals were a good fit. She sent me short updates each day with a picture. And Bree seemed well taken care of and tired when she got home which means to me she played a lot with Crystals dogs & family. I would totally recommend Crystal.”

“Izzy had a wonderful time with Mary. She hadn’t seen Mary for awhile but obviously remembered her because she was jumping and super excited to see her and go into the house.”

“Katie treated our dog Wesley like her own. She shared lots of pictures of him happy and having fun. She showed him lots of care and affection. She was also responsive and flexible when I made a mistake with the booking dates, and jumped in quickly to make sure our dog Wesley had care.”

“It is very apparent that Logan cares deeply for, and has a deep understanding of, animals. She was so sweet with our anxious little girl and took care to ensure her comfort and help build her confidence. We will definitely be repeat customers”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marysville
I cannot recommend Kristin enough. I was honestly very scared to try another sitter because of a previous bad experience, but from the moment we did the meet and greet, Sunny liked them right away, and that gave me so much peace of mind. They took exceptional care of my Sunny and treated her with love and attention. I received daily updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while we were away. My Sunny were relaxed, happy, and clearly adored the time with them. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly caring, Kristin is perfect choice!!!.

Kyla and Nick took such great care of Lowkey! This was our first time using Rover and we felt so lucky to find the right fit. Communication was great from initial contact to the last day of Lowkey's stay, we received pictures and check ins which was so reassuring. We also appreciated their thoughtful questions to understand our routines, our big guys likes and dislikes, and how he likes to play and interact. We would definitely recommend Kyla and Nick, and I would like to think Lowkey would too!

We are very happy with Art watching our pup while we are gone and our pup enjoys his stay. Art is very good at communicating and we really enjoy the updates. Art genuinely cares about dogs and we know that our pup is in good hands. Highly recommend Art to watch your furry family members.

This was a great first experience on Rover! We took a two week trip to Japan, Vietnam, and Taiwan and Allison and Carson were fantastic. They sent pictures and updates and overall they just inspired a lot of confidence that our dog was in great hands. They made the process simple and easy and were super flexible about our arrival and departure times. They clearly love and care about animals and hands down will be the first folks we check in with to see if they are available for future trips. 10/10 - will book again.

Samantha was awesome. She boarded my dog for 7 days. My sweet very active boy is only six months old and when I asked her to babysit him, he was wearing a cone because he had just got neutered. She didn’t hesitate to take him on and did try to speak to him in German, because that’s the language he’s been trained in. She is a good communicator and did send pictures. I will ask her to sit again. It was very sweet when we left her little girl told my dog that she loved him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
