I work outside the home until early afternoon, but offer constant care on my days off and the evenings. This includes lots of supervided outdoor time to run and play.

I live on a fully fenced half-acre and I am not of the mind to leave pets outside unattended for any length of time. I am also just as excited for walks as my four-footed friends, and would love to have them out and about in leashed parks and on walking trails, depending on their family's preferences.

I have no breed preference, so long as the dog is well-trained. I myself have had some training in caring for both puppies and older dogs, up to and including helping them potty when they're not quite capable. I also have a very high-compassion approach to all creatures in my care. I do not yell, I do not hit. Stern tones may be used but I largely prefer to lead by praise!
A typical day
Dogs in my care will have supervised outdoor playtime (weather permitting). They will also get plenty of playtime with a variety of puzzles, balls, and ropes, and lots of pets from a very attentive sitter!

Pet care experience
Once upon a time I worked for a no-kill shelter. We took in animals from all over the country to make sure they had a good chance at finding a forever home. From puppies to silver-muzzled seniors, I cared for them all. And now I want to bring the same love and compassion to the pets in my area. I work outside the home a few days a week, but as my clients an attest, I keep a pup's well-being as my first priority. I welcome boarders, even on days I work, but always at the pet parent's comfort!

Just used Alexa for daycare today when I was in a bind and it worked out great! Lola gets excited to go there now!
This was Lola’s 3rd visit with Alexa. I trust that she’s in good hands when she’s with Alexa and I get random texts and pics of her antics (mainly furniture hogging) during her stay. We will continue using Alexa anytime we need a place for Lola to go while we’re out of town. Highly recommend!
