âSheri was great. She made sure to send us pictures daily while also making sure our dog got a ton of exercise and attention. Our chocolate lab Daisy and her chocolate lab Sam got along great. She also made sure to clean our dog's ears every day for us since she was having issues with a yeast infection from playing in the ocean. I would recommend her for everybody. â

âMy floofster is happy after staying with Stephanie. I got photos and updates everyday which gave me peace of mind. I was late picking him up but she was super nice about it, she even fed him dinner and brushed him out :) such a great end to a long day of travel.â

âMy dogs mean everything to me and it can be difficult to find a dog sitter who understands the assignment. Allison understood the assignment. My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesnât take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She was also flexible in drop off time as I had a brain fart when initially booking the stay. I will definitely choose Allison again for future stays!â

âCatherine and her family were absolutely wonderful with our lil guy, Ruffles. They were responsive, followed the care instructions, and sent multiple pictures and updates daily! We will definitely book with them againâ

âMelodie (and Ryan) did such a wonderful job taking care of our Sherman!! He loved his stay and we look forward to bringing him back later this summer! Thank you so much for taking such good care of him!â
âLeaving my dog Allie for care was like leaving her with family! It was such a great experience. As a senior dog, Allie has some special needs - medication, limited mobility, and anxiety. Ali's family embraced Allie and treated her like their own pet. Allie came home from her stay healthy and happy.â

âI wanted to take a moment to thank u for the exceptional care you provided to Gabbar during the period. Gabbar seemed so happy and relaxed when we returned and it was reassuring to know that Gabbar was in such a capable hands. I truly appreciated the regular updates, photos and attention to detail in meeting Gabbarâs specific needs. Your professionalism and warmth made the experience stress-free for both us and Gabbar.â

âIf I could give 10 stars, I would because Michael is the best! His property is perfect for dogs -- a huge fenced wooded area with lots of room to run, and when there are more dogs, they have plenty of places to play and things to play with. Best of all, Michael sent us photos and videos every day we were gone, showing us how well Shiloh, our Golden Retriever, was doing. He looked so content I was worried he wouldn't want to leave when it was time to pick him up. I highly recommend Michael, and we won't hesitate to leave Shiloh with him anytime we go out of town!â

âBarbara is the perfect sweetheart to leave your pup with. Uly felt so at home with her âŚimmediately! Her back yard is divine for zoomies and she even took Uly different places for walks⌠like a surprise daily field trip!! He was such a happy kid we we picked him up. Barbaraâs a gem you can trust :) with your pup!â

âAs always, Sheri & Bill are a great comfort. Roscoe recognizes when we pull into their driveway and is happy when we see him run right up to their front door!â

âStella had a great stay at Johnâs! He had no problem with a last minute booking, and was super communicative with updates and pictures! Thanks John! Stella will be backâ

âBeth is amazing! We feel so comfortable and confident having her watch our two Aussies. This past week we had Beth watch both of our Aussies at the same time, and it went great. We received regular updates, photos and videos, and reassurance that things were going smoothly. The girls looked like they were having so much fun, itâs so nice to see them be in great hands together. We were nervous to have someone watch them both at the same time since we usually get separate rovers for them since they can be a handful and have different needs but we felt confident trying it out with Beth and we were so glad we did. We couldnât recommend Beth enough! She is awesome.â

âLoved the pictures and videos over the weekend! Great communication for drop off and pickup. Rio looked like she had a blast especially playing in the snow. I will definitely have Rio stay again!â

âZeke had a great time during his stay! When I picked him up he was nice and tired from daily walks he went on with his new pal Zuzu. I received photo updates throughout the day and communication for pickup and drop off times was great. Weâll definitely rebook in the future. Thank you!â

âMary was outstanding, I am not sure I have ever seen Chief happier. She provided wonderful exercise and play for this 110 pound baby. In addition, Mary was excellent at providing daily reports on Chief. I would happily use Mary's services again (and I know Chief agrees!)â

âBevan is such a great human. My dog is a great dog. Good match. My go-to dog sitters for long trips, Bevan and her husband are a team that creates flexibility to match my schedule.â

âThis is our second time having Nancy dogsit for us and she is wonderful with our dog. Nancy is caring and sweet with our doggie. We especially appreciate her regular updates including video clips of their day together. We could see how happy our dog was with her. Will use her services again!â

âLinda & Bill were so amazing boarding my two elderly pups. Words cannot express how happy I am with how they took care of my babies. They are very good, trustworthy, kind, caring and gentle people that Iâm confident anyone could entrust the care of their dogs with. They sent many pictures throughout the entirety of the stay which I greatly appreciated. Linda & Bill will 100% be my go-to for future boardings! ?â

âWe couldn't have asked for a better sitter! Our dog was so well cared for, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We loved receiving daily photo updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!â

âMounica took great care of our dog, Mikko. She sent consistent updates and they gave him regular walks and time outside to play! She even baked special Christmas dog treats for the few dogs they had over that time. We would book with her and her family again anytime! Thank you Mounica for the great care! We appreciate you!â

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
