“Nina loved being in Katie's care. She was comfortable and happy. Nina is a rather wary and not very sociable Pomeranian, but she had an excellent stay. Katie kept us informed the entire time, sending photos and videos. I highly recommend her.”

“Katie is awesome! She has a whole house of animal lovers so your companion will always have someone to cuddle and play with. She was willing to take my puppy, Toulouse, last minute on two occasions in one week! She was great about sending updates through texts and pictures too. I’ll definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Top notch intuitive sitter with a keen eye for my dog's unique mental and physical wellbeing. I feel confident in her ability to provide the care and support for my Dog with a severe food allergy. I was also pleased that her partner also was aligned with providing a watchful eye for her too.”

“Thank you, Liudmila, for taking care of our sweet puppy. She had a wonderful time with you and your family and came home such a happy, calm girl! I really appreciate all the love and care you gave her!”

“This was our first time to leave Datu at a private residence for care. He was thrilled but he also was not used to being away from us and yet despite his anxiety, Sheri and Bill were most kind and patient with Datu - We attended a funeral that was out of state and our minds were at ease that though Datu was a bit anxious that he was well loved and cared for as we saw many videos of him throughout his stay with them that reflected he was doing well. Beyond blessed and thankful for this couple -”

“We left our young energetic Aussie mix with Debra for a couple days and it was such a great experience. Her place is perfect for dogs to run outside. Communication was great including pictures while we were gone. Sven seemed to enjoy himself and we found our go to dog sitter for future needs. Thanks Debra!”

“My dogs obviously felt comfortable with Nicole and her dogs right from the start. She’s got a nice big fenced yard and they had fun playing together. She really helped me out in a pinch!”

“Super happy with my experience having Christine look after my dog! She was very accommodating, understanding, and friendly about my high-energy dog. Christine was communicative and sent plenty of updates and pictures. I would definitely book with Christine again!”

“Mike is an excellent pet sitter and I would not hesitate to call on him again! He treated Fox like he was his own. He got plenty of walks and potty breaks, and individual attention he would not have had elsewhere. Fox loved his stay, no bones about it! Thank you, Mike, for taking such good care of our senior pup.”

“Rex had a fantastic time at Chelsea and Brian’s house!! They were flexible with pickup and drop-off, very communicative during his stay and seem like generally wonderful people. Rex is a big oaf of a dog who is still learning (he’s only 1.5 years old) and they were so sweet and patient with him. They treated him like a member of the family, which was my greatest hope for his stay.”

“Mary was great! She accommodated our last minute request as we were heading out of town and kept us updated many times throughout the long weekend we were gone. Our Stella had so much play time and seemed so relaxed and content by the time we picked her up. Planning on taking advantage of the day care options as well. We will definitely be using Mary’s services on a regular basis!”

“Another great experience with Monica! She watched nova at her place for a few days while I was working long hours. Very communicative and love getting all the pictures of the fur baby. I definitely recommend Monica to anyone looking for a trusted sitter”

“ShuShu was very understanding of the situation! She immediately accommodated me and also had a meet and greet before the actual stay! She gave me updates everyday and was very loving of Hoku! 10/10 would have my puppy stay again with her.”

About: I am a fun-loving friend of dogs (and cats) who will make sure your babies are safe, loved, and having fun while you are away. I've been a dog/cat mom for more than 40 years. I have excellent dog training skills, having trained my dogs over the years. I've also cared for senior dogs with special needs. I have a large, fenced yard and can offer overnights as long as your dog gets on well with another dog. Here for you and your babies and will make sure they get all the love and attention. 😍 I'm currently working PT from home, so I'll be able to keep your pet safe and will be home for them all day (unless I need to run an errand or something). My routine is easy-drop them off, and I'll handle the rest. I can even transport them if you need help with that. I have a large, dog park-sized yard that is fenced. If your dog isn't an escape artist, they will be fine here. Lot of room to run and play. :) I can always walk them or be with them when outside should you prefer that. I have a 6yo large dog who loves other dogs and will enjoy company. Dogs at my house can be on the furniture or the bed, or crated as you desire. I know what it is like to leave your baby, so I am happy to care for them in any way you'd like. I can do a 25-30 min walk with them in my neighborhood, and or I can let them run in the yard with a ball or a frisbee. You let me know! If you need me to come to you, no problem. I can come check on them, walk them, play with them, or whatever you need!
“Our doberman Ruby had a great stay with Conor and his family. I appreciated that Conor suggested a meet-up prior to our trip to make sure everyone got along. It was particularly nice knowing Ruby was around kids since she loves being with kids when at home. Conor was also kind enough to send several pictures and updates on Ruby. We will definitely re-book with Conor next time we need help with Ruby.”

“Ansel's overnight stay with Pam and Jon couldn't have gone better. They are super responsive, have a great setup for dogs with mobility issues, had all supplies needed including all bowls, bedding, etc, so the only thing we had to bring was food, and best of all Ansel had a great time with their dog. We are excited to bring him back in the future!”

“Marlene was excellent with our dog Annie. She sent us Annie's pictures every day, which we loved receiving. Annie seemed to enjoy herself. We will use her again next time we go on a vacation! Thank you, Marlene, for taking such good care of our Annie!”

“We can't recommend Erin enough! She always takes such wonderful care of our dog, Benson. You can tell how much she genuinely loves animals, and she treats Benson like he's one of her own. She's incredibly attentive to his routine, follows his schedule carefully, and always makes sure he's happy and well cared for. Benson has the best time every time he stays with her and comes home happy, tired, and excited for his next visit. Her communication is outstanding, we always receive thoughtful updates and photos, and we never have to wonder how Benson is doing. Having that peace of mind while we're away means so much. We feel so lucky to have found someone we trust completely with our pup!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
