Katie cared for out terrier-mix overnight. Her report was that he was looking for us for an hour post our leaving But then Kate's children started playing with Teddy and his mind switched to having fun. I like that there was a lot of human to dog interaction. Katie sent some photos of Teddy. She did a good job of caring for Teddy.

Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!

About: I have had and trained dogs since I was 7 years old. My first dog was a Doberman and I’ve had multiple Rottweilers since then. I’ve also trained Staffies, Doodles, Pit Bulls, Labs, GSPs, Terriers and plenty of other breeds. I showed in 4-H for 12 years with my Dobie, a Staffy, three Rottweilers, and my dad’s deaf French Bulldog that I taught hand signals to. I have also showed in Rally, Obedience, Showmanship, and Confirmation through AKC since I was 9. My last Rottweiler, “Moxie” had almost 15 AKC obedience and companion titles by the time she passed away at 5 years old from lymphoma. I really enjoy working with reactive, aggressive, or headstrong dogs that are in need of a second chance though I am happy to train just about anything! I’ve also been housesitting and pet sitting intermittently since I got my license at 16! I am somewhat starting out when it comes to board and training so I don’t have a ton of reviews or referrals but I am hoping to build them here!! I work a couple of part time jobs as a barista where I take the dogs with me! I drive a VW Jetta TDI wagon and have mastered the technique to keep the car plenty cool during my shifts and I potty the dogs every two to four hours. I go on lots of hikes, frequent the beach, and have tons of toys to play with! I only work 5-6 hours at a time so I make sure to give them the enrichment they need before or after work. I have a studio mother-in-law style house with a large fenced backyard and crates/cots inside the house. If your dog is happy go lucky and laid back, they’ll be loose when I am home but when/if I’m not home, they’ll will be crated along with my dog. The house has fabulous ventilation and hasn’t ever been too hot during the summer or too cold during the winter. My dog is a very friendly four month old Rottweiler puppy. He is proofed around other dogs, cats, and children. I also frequently watch a 9 month old Rottweiler for a friend of mine. She is also proofed, and the most friendly, playful, and patient dog I have trained. I have the facilities to keep them apart upon request and they will never be left together unattended.

Sheri was great. She made sure to send us pictures daily while also making sure our dog got a ton of exercise and attention. Our chocolate lab Daisy and her chocolate lab Sam got along great. She also made sure to clean our dog's ears every day for us since she was having issues with a yeast infection from playing in the ocean. I would recommend her for everybody.

We felt so grateful and comfortable leaving our 110 lb “puppy” with Nicole and Cody!! Not everyone is comfortable with his very large and energetic puppy enthusiasm, but they handled him with loving understanding and firmness - which he needs. He had so much fun with all his new buddies - and came home happy and exhausted. Thank you!

A wonderful pet sitter! Very communicative and warm. She was able to accommodate our last minute request, sent us updates and photos of our doggy while we were away, which was very reassuring, and she was flexible and understanding when our ferry delayed our pickup time by almost an hour. We would recommend her and be happy to have her care for our pup again in the future.

This was our first time to leave Datu at a private residence for care. He was thrilled but he also was not used to being away from us and yet despite his anxiety, Sheri and Bill were most kind and patient with Datu - We attended a funeral that was out of state and our minds were at ease that though Datu was a bit anxious that he was well loved and cared for as we saw many videos of him throughout his stay with them that reflected he was doing well. Beyond blessed and thankful for this couple -

About: Hi, I’m Danielle 🐾 Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I love giving them the same care and attention I’d want for my own pets. As a retired Navy veteran, I know how important it is to have someone dependable you can trust when work, vacations, or last minute plans come up. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. I offer in home pet care and daily walks, with a fenced backyard and a dog park nearby for plenty of play and exercise. Every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow whatever makes them feel most comfortable. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. ❤️🐶🐱 I’m a stay-at-home mom to three school-aged children and a toddler, which gives me a flexible schedule outside of school drop-off and pick-up. I’m available for boarding and daytime care, and I’m committed to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule and make the process simple and stress-free. If you’re looking for a dependable sitter who will treat your pet like family, I’d love to learn more about their routine, personality, and needs. Reach out today to ask questions, discuss availability, or arrange a stay—I’d be happy to connect with you and help your fur baby feel right at home! 🐾 I want every pet in my care to feel safe, loved, and completely at home. ❤️ I have a clean, fully fenced backyard where pets can enjoy supervised playtime, fresh air, and bathroom breaks. There’s also a nearby dog park for pups who would enjoy some extra exercise. My two pets freely roam our home, but I can easily create separate spaces whenever needed to help everyone feel comfortable. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, feeding schedule, crate time, and individual needs. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or prefers a little quiet time, I’ll make sure they feel respected and cared for. Your fur baby will be treated like one of my own—with plenty of love, attention, and reassurance while you’re away. 🐾💕

Our fur goblin Vivi had a fabulous stay with Kara and her pup Doc! Vivi is an energetic gal who loves play and walks, and had a good time with the toy basket at Kara’s place. We appreciated Kara’s updates, photos, and even a video of Vivi and Doc playing together. We felt very comfortable leaving Vivi in Kara’s care.

Ruby stayed with Pam for two weeks. Pam sent updates and photos EVERY day. She had a good time and settled in with them and was very happy while she was there. She came home happy and healthy. “Auntie Pam” is okay in Ruby’s book. I highly recommend Pam as a caring and loving doggie caregiver.

Rene was wonderful- I made a last-minute request and was so lucky that she was available. My dogs clearly had a good time with her because they didn't go absolutely insane when I came to pick them up, like they usually do. They obviously had had a good time! Rene is lovely, easy going, and kind. I will definitely use her again in the future!

Rene was very accommodating and attentive to Carley’‘s needs during her overnight stay. She took the time to get to know us and put us at ease by taking in everything we said about Carley’s personality, habits, and particular requirements. Rene took special care with Carley’s diet, medications and exercise. She truly dedicated her time, space and home to the comfort and welfare of our big mixed-breed dog. We will definitely use her services again.

This was our first time leaving our pup with someone other than family. Meadow warmed up to Pam quickly, which is a testament to what a great caregiver she is, since Meadow is usually suspicious of new people and barks at them. Pam sent multiple updates and photos which was so nice and gave us peace of mind. We will definitely be using Pam again. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
